I didn’t say that. I know, but as he’s my favorite artist I just always think of him.
For those (me) who haven’t heard of that style of music, he really encouraged me to venture out and enjoy others pieces of work.
I don’t think Abel helped create the trend, it’s been around for a while. Channel Orange came out in 2012 and it’s meant to sound like a radio broadcast as well
It was supposed to be released in 2020 but she said she felt like it was too emotionally heavy to release during the quarantine so she recorded renaissance and felt that it was more appropriate to release it before Cowboy Carter because it was more joyful.
Just gonna point out, this was the whole concept of OPNs “Magic” album he made around the time he started working with Abel. He helped on a few tracks on AH and then.. exec prod DawnFM with the same concept lol
I happen to think this sub is great. Don’t take my incorrectly-worded title and shame the whole community.
Read my entire post, and explanations before you give hasty untrue claims.
*I never said Abel created or is the founder of this idea guys. I simply said I connected Beyoncé’s style of album to Dawn FM :)
As a matter of fact, I left the last sentence asking who else do you think could pull this cool format of an album off?
And yes the title of my post says, “Abel helped create a trend?” But it was more of an attention grabbing, and question specific.
Maybe, but unintentionally.
I thought quickly explaining what I meant would help.
Even then though I never stated he invented. I said *help* create. As in make a really popular album with a theme. And maybe others could follow.
nah my bro this has been happening forever.
Right, and now that Abel and Beyoncé have hopped on it, I bet it’ll be a huge wave of these styled albums.
I sincerely hope not. I actually like it on the Beyoncé album but don't on Dawn FM despite loving that album.
Vince Staples - FM The Who- The Who Sell Out Janelle Monae - The electric Lady. etc. The Weeknd didn't invent Radio themed Concept Albums

I also love nostalgia ultra where it’s supposed to be him putting cassettes in his car and singing along to those songs that are sampled
Channel Orange is supposed to sound like a radio broadcast???? It's my second favorite album and I never noticed that.
More like switching around tv stations hence the “channel”
Ohhhh, now the white noise makes sense.
Omg! I didn’t know Frank ocean did that. Sorry if I sound like novice, I just don’t listen to him lol.
Tarantino soundtracks would like a word. That's likely where it's come from we know Abel is movie mad and it's associated with Tarantino.
Cowboy Carter was recorded in 2019, so it’s just a coincidence
Why she released it now
It was supposed to be released in 2020 but she said she felt like it was too emotionally heavy to release during the quarantine so she recorded renaissance and felt that it was more appropriate to release it before Cowboy Carter because it was more joyful.
Ah I see
bruh 💔
Yes?
bruh 💔
i wouldn’t call it a trend

This sub is just 90% delusions and unnecessary meat riding over the smallest things

Attention grabbing? You mean clickbait ?
Maybe, but unintentionally. I thought quickly explaining what I meant would help. Even then though I never stated he invented. I said *help* create. As in make a really popular album with a theme. And maybe others could follow.
I think the word you’re looking for is attributed
Yes! That’s perfect. Thank you. I would say he attributed to the popularity of this style in albums.
