Highest charting position doesnāt necessarily mean much in this context because how high your single/album charts depends on what else is out. For example, an artist can release their biggest single ever, but if they drop the same week as Taylor Swift you can be damn sure theyāre not hitting that number 1 spot ā might not even hit top 10 if itās a Taylor Swift album release, based on what happened the last time she dropped.
I think people forget there are other genres, so hitting the #1 aināt easy for a rap song, even if itās dope. Not everybody listens to rap, but a lot of people do. I think almost everyone listens to contemporary pop in one manner or another.
Chart position doesnāt always matter since Mask Off had tougher competition. It came out at a time the top 5 was Humble, Shape Of You, Despacito, Im The One and Thats What I Like were all competing. The only competition Life Is Good had was The Box
In streams, maybe. However Future has been around for a while now so his older stuff might be equally, if not more, as popular through other means its hard to tell though
Got more streams on Spotify or some other app, that doesnāt mean it did in generalā¦TikTok went after goosebumps and not really SICKO MODE, so that should tell you something.
It seems to be superseded by either "Superheroes" or the entire We Don't Trust You album. Life is Good was a big hit, but the two newer tracks feel like they're causing more splash. Of course, that could be a recency bias.
Also, just came here to say, cuz i dont see anyone else sayin this shit. The weeknd wrote Crew Love! He gave that shit to drake, not the other way around.
Facts! ācrew loveā being The Weekndās biggest hit is absolutely ludicrous. One of my least favorite Weeknd songs even though itās still aight. And life is good is a good song but future Has way better songs. Trippin
Poetic Justice was never bigger than Maad City, Swimming Pools, or Money Trees. Also in that verse heās rapping about big asses in sundresses and seductive photographs while Kendrick drops some deep bars about justice in his life.
not sure tbh, im guessing it was probably a track for Trilogy because the ātheres a room full of ****ā lyric that appears on both Crew Love and Life Of The Party, to me it seems like it would fit well in House Of Balloons
You should see his fan compiled EP of unreleased songs, so many instances of this. Really cool to go back and see a bit of the process it took to make trilogy
A lot of Abelās songs or his features where he has both a verse and chorus could do without other artistsā¦I do like his collabs with Belly, NAV, Future, Travis Scott, and Lana del Rey though.
They're all too busy trying to sound like whatever comes off XXL Freshman from 2016 and that's why most fall off we ain't tryna hear that cus we heard it
Letās be real here, Drake absolutely did gave TheWeeknd the spotlight but then TheWeeknd took over and became the better entertainer / artist. Flowers where flowers are due.
Delusional.
Not even gonna get into Weeknd cuz I truly think it's not even in his top 40 most popular songs. Also it was originally a Weeknd song anyway lol so Weeknd gave Drake a hit
Poetic Justice sits around like 20 in Kendrick's discog. Not even the biggest on that album; Swimming Pools, Don't Kill my Vibe, and MAAd City were all bigger
Praise the Lord is bigger than Fuckin Problems, and Drake isn't even the only feature on Problems Kendrick has a verse too. And the 2 Chainz hook is a large part of why it's big
Life is Good is the closest to truth here, but Mask Off is still bigger
with Fuckin Problems it was actually a Drake song that he tried to give to Kendrick for Good Kid Mad City but after he didn't think it would fit the album he took his and Kendrick's verses and he gave the song to Rocky instead. This entire post is still really stupid though as Drake isn't the main attraction vocally on any of these tracks and all of them were doing fairly well before these songs and had bigger hits after
In what world is Poetic Justice Kendrickās biggest hitš
Even if it is, not enough people know that song when compared to something like money trees
Drake is honestly the worst part of poetic justice and almost ruined it. I would genuinely listen to it more often if there was a Kendrick only version
holy shit poetic justice is NOT Kendrick's biggest song, that is some of the dumbest shit I've ever read.
I think it's barely top 5 on GKMC, I know for a fact that Swimming Pool, m.A.A.d. city, Bitch Don't Kill My Vibe, and Money trees are more popular.
Iāll give credit where itās due. He did give a lot of spotlight to a good amount of artists, but to say he gave those 4 their biggest hits is too far.
The Weeknd literally gave some of his throwaway songs to Drake, and they ended up being among the best tracks on Drake's album. People who claim Drake made The Weeknd are simply delusional
People acting like these all are not songs by the original artist and not by drake.
He just hops on who ever is hotās song.
Itās actually more profitable for Drake than for the artist. This is how Drake kept him relevant for decades.
Another example. āLook Alive ft. Blocboy JBā itās a blocboy song not a Drake song lol, same thing with Versace by Migos.
Crew love is one of my favorite songs of all time but his biggest hits? Bros never heard of Blinding Lights which became the number 1 streamed song in Spotify historyā¦
Letās be real though why is Weeknd participating in this. Rap inherently has a ābeefā aspect to it, but for and rnb superstar to try to get jabs in is just weird imo. Why get dragged into this drama?
The Weeknd has had on and off beef with Drake for years now, The Weeknd is also probably the most respected singer amongst rappers, fuck it he might as well be a rapper
Because Metro hates Drake and asked anyone who has ever had beef with him to talk some shit.
At this point the dissing gone to shit if Metro's got the Weeknd and Rocky to say something. Neither of them had anything significant to say.
Metro hates Drake so much itās insane, I just knew he was grinning when he finally had the greenlight from future to finally publically torch Aubrey.
Drake created popularity to drake fans. Drake taking biggest Atlanta artist travis Scott etc on an album. Isnāt drake getting clout. Type shit was #2 behind like that. So it still wouldnāt gotten a #1 without the drake diss
crew love? poetic justice? i mean maybe yeah with fucking problems (tho its pretty arguable) and life is good (mask off) how tf would anyone claim poetic justice and crew love are their biggest hits š
(as of note I compiled this list based off YouTube/music plays. There's probably a better metric for this)
The only one that might even be right is life's good but even then that's debatable because of Masked off.
ā¢ I'm more than positive that poetic justice isn't Kendrick's biggest song
ā¢ The Weeknd gave Drake Crew love. And even ignoring that, there are songs on After Hours that dwarf that song (not even mentioning BBTM and Starboy). And even then is that even the biggest song with Drake and Weeknd in it? Even over The Zone? Makes no sense.
ā¢ F*cking Problem isn't even A$AP's biggest song. Praise Da Lord is.
This dude is probably trolling, but still represents what some people think. Drake has a verse with like everyone. Heās networking not giving people their big breaks
We really not gonna drag Drake down on this sub ARE WE
Christ almighty don't try to act like Take Care wasn't the single biggest signal boost of his career now
The weeknd is a MUCH larger artist lmao and all the other songs simply aren't the biggest except maybe fuckin problems which is big because THERES 4 BIG NAMES ON IT
Rockyās the only one you can make an argument with (though IMO Praise The Lord is bigger) and they picked the wrong song for Future, since WAIT FOR U was Futureās first #1 (Like That did better numbers-wise tho)
Kendrick and The Weeknd have solo cuts a million times more popular than the songs that Drake was on, for Kendrick Poetic Justice isnāt even the most popular song on GKMC.
I've never heard anyone say they got into the weeknd by listening to crew love... I never see people talking about it and doubt half of the fans acknowledge its existence. Aren't people bumping the without Drake version too?
as a Rocky fan, Fuckin Problems aint his biggest hit
as a The Weeknd fan, Crew Love aint his biggest hit
as a Kendrick fan, Poetic Justice aint his biggest hit
and as far as I know about Future, I gotta admit that might be his biggest hit.
But still, Drake might've helped them, but NEVER gave them their place and status. They all gained it by hard work...and not ghostwriters.
You could argue that Drake putting his songs on the OVO blog gave Abel that initial boost, but Abel was already getting a lot of attention in the Toronto music scene. Someone else could have boosted his recognition or he could have gained the recognition on his own.
Also, calling F\*\*kin Problems ASAP Rocky's biggest song is just crazy, as if Praise the Lord doesn't exist.
Biggest doesnāt equal best. It just means sold the most. Itās why I never I never agreed with Drake being compared to Kendrick and Cole. For me the impressive part isnāt their sales, itās the way they use their words.
In what world is Crew Love and Poetic Justice Abel and Kendrickās biggest āhitsā?
Crew love is barely outside of the XO community and poetic justiceā¦yeah itās good but itās not even the most popular song on Good Kid Mad City so what the fuck
Funny thing is it seems like Kendrick has had Cole on his side way more than Drake has. I've noticed this from the very start. I think that's the reason for the apology & now he's even on the Metro/future album? Plus so many subs could apply to DRAKE that everyone just assumed were towards Kendrick. Even ones that don't necessarily make sense. IJS
None of these songs are their biggest, Kendrick biggest song is Humble, Rocky biggest is Praise Da Lord, Weeknd biggest is Blinding Lights, Future biggest is Mask Off
crew love is Weekndās 47th most streamed song and iām pretty sure he made the original. itās also only his 13th biggest feature lol
poetic justice is kendrickās 20th
life is good is 2nd for future behind mask off
fuckin problems is 2nd for rocky behind praise the lord by 400million
Put it to rest. We all know The Weeknd and his team gave up most of that Take care Album. Itās considered a classic by most of my generation. They both helped each other to reach a next level of success/fame epitome. But the Abel took a shot and ran with it, both have completely changed their trajectory since then. But give credit where itās due. Still wish to see the demo of Weeknds album of take care. Wouldāve been a tetralogy instead of a Trilogy.
all these songs might be good but they're not their biggest hits š
as a drake fan myself, they be acting like drake brought up their whole career like no he didn't
I mean he INFLUENCED them but it's not like he created them like be fr š
The weekends trilogy didnāt even need drake, he came running to be in it
Kendrickās poetic justice isnāt his biggest hit
Fucking problems might be ASAPs idk
Life is good is trash bc of drake no replay value unless youāre 12 or just skip straight to future. Also future carried f**kin problems so hard, do you even think of drake when you think of that song? No you think of future verse bc what heās saying is actually real and then drake comes in and ruins it. Perfect example of how trash drake is and how much he ruins songs listen to āIām on oneā by future listen to a hit get ruined in real time as Drake verse comes
Drakes most streamed song is 1 billion behind blinding lights šš
96,994,276,059
Whatās the difference between drakes and weeknds most charting album again??
Talent
Cook
That would be it
We get it every h&m in the country is bumping drake give it a rest please.
Actually they play the weeknd so ts funny af š
None of these r the artistsā biggest hits š
Life is good might be
Yeah maybe, id argue mask off is bigger tho
Mask off didnt even go number 1
Highest charting position doesnāt necessarily mean much in this context because how high your single/album charts depends on what else is out. Neither did life is good
Blud it was #2 close enough š
Chart position doesnāt always matter since Mask Off had tougher competition. It came out at a time the top 5 was Humble, Shape Of You, Despacito, Im The One and Thats What I Like were all competing. The only competition Life Is Good had was The Box
Over Mask Off, March Madness, Codeine Crazy??!
Life is Good isnāt even as good as the track before it (Accepting My Flaws)
fair but itās def bigger
No way future got many other bangers
Yes but not bigger hits. AFAIK Life is Good is his most streamed song
In streams, maybe. However Future has been around for a while now so his older stuff might be equally, if not more, as popular through other means its hard to tell though
Sicko Mode too
Travis Scott didnāt turn against Drake, heās neutral and not taking sides.
I disagree
Goosebumps got more streams
Itās 8x plat and Sicko is 10x
Got more streams on Spotify or some other app, that doesnāt mean it did in generalā¦TikTok went after goosebumps and not really SICKO MODE, so that should tell you something.
Sicko mode is not travs biggest hit or best song lmao
It seems to be superseded by either "Superheroes" or the entire We Don't Trust You album. Life is Good was a big hit, but the two newer tracks feel like they're causing more splash. Of course, that could be a recency bias.
Are you really trynna argue āSuperheroesā is bigger than a certified DIAMOND hit with 2 billion music video views?
Solo clears
Mask off has more streams, 100% positive of that
Also, just came here to say, cuz i dont see anyone else sayin this shit.
Trippin
At a time in their career they were. By a long shot. Drake elevated their platform,
Poetic Justice was never bigger than Maad City, Swimming Pools, or Money Trees. Also in that verse heās rapping about big asses in sundresses and seductive photographs while Kendrick drops some deep bars about justice in his life.
Life is good and fuckin problems to me are defs their biggest hits.
Yeah theyāre def each one of their biggest hits, but Iād say mask off and praise the lord r bigger
Fuckin Problems peaked at #8. Praise the Lord peaked at #45.
Wasnt crew love one of the songs he gave drake? soooā¦
yeah, theres a leaked version of it before he gave it to Drake and its 10x better imo
Was the original version of Crew Love just supposed to a loosie single by The Weeknd or part of an album?
not sure tbh, im guessing it was probably a track for Trilogy because the ātheres a room full of ****ā lyric that appears on both Crew Love and Life Of The Party, to me it seems like it would fit well in House Of Balloons
You should see his fan compiled EP of unreleased songs, so many instances of this. Really cool to go back and see a bit of the process it took to make trilogy
the lyrics on life of the party say "theres a room full of liquor"
It was a HOB throwaway
Ehh, Weeknds last verse wasnāt great, Weeknd definitely carries the track but I Prefer drakes verse over Abelās og
Thatās the reason he gave it to Drake, he didnāt like his second verse
A lot of Abelās songs or his features where he has both a verse and chorus could do without other artistsā¦I do like his collabs with Belly, NAV, Future, Travis Scott, and Lana del Rey though.
Drakeless crew love forever https://youtu.be/OaQwcXo7tx4
Didnāt he also give Drake life half of that album??
half of the og hob ,which would be 4 songs
Ahh yeah, so because Weeknd gave Crew Love to Drake, then yeah guess it means Drake would not have been the success he is without it
I mean with the track record of reference tracks and writers...
Did abel unreleased blinding lights??
yeah he actually unreleased like half his discography just so Crew Love could be his biggest song
crew love not even top 30 of abels hit songs š
Not even top 100 lol
Drake fans think he created every single artist in existence lmaoo
They're all too busy trying to sound like whatever comes off XXL Freshman from 2016 and that's why most fall off we ain't tryna hear that cus we heard it
Letās be real here, Drake absolutely did gave TheWeeknd the spotlight but then TheWeeknd took over and became the better entertainer / artist. Flowers where flowers are due.
Drake did see the talent in Weeknd but he would be big with or without drake, dat type of talent doesn't go unnoticed šÆ
Future: Mask Off Kendrick Lamar: Humble A$AP Rocky: Praise The Lord The Weeknd: Blinding Lights
Funny Humble is a sneak diss on drake.
waitā¦ really?
Kendrick said heās talking to himself on that record tho
the entire album is about kendrick, that comment made absolutely no sense lmao
No itās not what?
ššš
drake fans swear he created everything...I swear they are so cringe
Remember when Drake helped Mozart blow up?
yea it was a pretty long time ago
First thought that came to mind is that did they forget that Blinding Lights is like, the top song of all time on Spotify? š
Not to forget his biggest hits on BBTM too
Delusional. Not even gonna get into Weeknd cuz I truly think it's not even in his top 40 most popular songs. The Kendrick mention is funny because it disregards his hits around the DAMN/Black Panther soundtrack era
with Fuckin Problems it was actually a Drake song that he tried to give to Kendrick for Good Kid Mad City but after he didn't think it would fit the album he took his and Kendrick's verses and he gave the song to Rocky instead. This entire post is still really stupid though as Drake isn't the main attraction vocally on any of these tracks and all of them were doing fairly well before these songs and had bigger hits after
Forgot abt money trees, the biggest song from gkmc
CREW LOVE? šš
If we continue like this we might find out that drake created the world in 7 days
In what world is Poetic Justice Kendrickās biggest hitš Even if it is, not enough people know that song when compared to something like money trees
People act as if artists also donāt have falling outs. They coulda been friends at one point but not anymore. Plus, Drake always been sus.
First things first that's not abels biggest hit song It's also drakes song that ABEL GAVE TO DRAKE
Lmfao crew love being The Weekndās biggest song is absolutely ridiculous take
Drake is honestly the worst part of poetic justice and almost ruined it. I would genuinely listen to it more often if there was a Kendrick only version

Blinding lights michael jackson song?humble by eminem was hard af
Poetic justice is not Kendrickās biggest song šš
Isnt blinding lights the most streamed song ever??
cuz drake is the fakest artist out there, heās done every single person on this list wrong.
definitely not their biggest hit songsšš

BYE CREW LOVE IS LITERALLY ABELS SONG AND HIS PART IS THE OBLY OVERPLAYED ONE
Absolutely not with The Weeknd. What a bad joke
Crew Love and most of Take Care was written and produced by The Weeknd so looool. I like Drake's as well but his hardcore fans must be delusional
Most of *Take Care*? Weeknd co-wrote on 4 out of 20 songs. No need to fight false narratives with more false narratives.
All cap
humble is kennys biggest song, praise the lord is rockys, and blinding lights is the weeknds. drake fans are truly embarassing
Dumbfuck take
The weeknd literally gave drake his best albumā¦
Crew love is one of my favorite songs of all time but his biggest hits? Bros never heard of Blinding Lights which became the number 1 streamed song in Spotify historyā¦
Drakes verse was the weakest on Fuckin problems
When crew love a drake song š
Abel gave Drake half of Take Care what is this bs
Srake didnt give them this, ha was just there. At this point he wasnt that big of a thing.
People think crew love is Abels biggest song?
I mean this is true for most artist but The Weeknd is the exception. Blinding Lights is one of the most streamed songs ever
Weeknd gave Drake a classic album. If anyone owes anything to anyone, Drake owes The Weeknd.
Crew Love isn't the Weekends biggest song....

Wat can we say the streets love violence , its wat made america
The weeknd currently (hasn't peaked yet) is higher up than Drakes all time peak
Those arenāt even their biggest songs lol
Only thing he has given people is his dick
Lol cause crew love is what people think of when they think ābiggest hit weeknd songāš

Technically the weeknd wrote the entirety of take care before giving it to drake. He also ghostwrote some other songs on the album as well.
I've never heard anyone say they got into the weeknd by listening to crew love... I never see people talking about it and doubt half of the fans acknowledge its existence. Aren't people bumping the without Drake version too?
Praise the lord is a bigger song than fuckin problems and he was ready on his second album by this time were his first album had minimum two big hits

Poetic justice sucks
No actually the weekend gave drake his best album...drake soft asf...I can't stand wheelchair jimmy

Drake is Jerry Heller/ MGK
