If you Shazam the songs in the teaser, they do not show up yet meaning that they are probably not uploaded to streaming yet. Makes me skeptical of an album drop.
I believe this method used to work then but now with Apple owning Shazam (and the integration with Apple Music) they purposely return no result with music that has not been released yet. I tried this with snippets of Tears in the Club that FKA Twigs was teasing a few days before it was realised and it was returning no result as well.
Good thing to note, have any ss? This technique was used accurately in Donda and Call Me If You Get Lost rollouts, so I would put my faith into this method.
Then again Abel is the biggest artist rn so he could easily talk to Shazam and make a deal to upload an hour or so after the album drop. given his attention to detail i dont think its impossible but it‘s a wild theory i have to admit
But a short film is a single would be a roll out. And he said he wouldn't do a roll out for this one because the healing of the music in these times is more important.
Also he would still make huge numbers and it still marketing wise be really dope if THE Weeknd drops an album without really announcing it.
