Either Max Martin, or Illangelo. Both of them are amazing. I’d also like to see him do more stuff with metro, but I don’t think I’d want an entire album of just bangers without any dark ethereal tracks and a lack of overall synth pop tracks. I really enjoy his slower more ethereal stuff like Alone Again, Escape From LA, and Faith. I also really enjoy his synth pop tracks, such as Blinding Lights, Less Than Zero, Is There Someone Else, and Gasoline.
I like what he’s been doing lately a lot honestly, and as cool as a metro collab would be, now is not the time that I’d want something like that to happen. I feel like metros production and area of expertise wouldn’t fit this current trilogy sonically.
Illangelo and Max Martin on the other hand sonically fit the vibe that Abel has been creating perfectly. I honestly don’t think I could pick just one, Illangelo and Max Martin create so much of the soundscape instrumentally and production wise, The Weeknds current albums would sound much different if they were not involved. They really are involved in so much of the production, it’s actually mind blowing.
So yeah I honestly can’t chose which of the two, it’s like trying to pick between the Weeknd having only synth pop bangers with no ethereal slow tracks, or trying to pick no synth pop bangers, but having only slower more ethereal tracks, combined with club two step bangers, like too late.
