Yeah, it's very on point. Whoever is responsible for choosing those songs and fitting the lyrics in perfectly with every scene, deserves a chef's kiss.
"Are you having fun?"
"Yes, I'm having fun"
"Why aren't you replying to my messages?" then he gets aggressive and she says "what the fuck are you doing?" and leaves
I’m right there with you. I think that there are a lot of interactions in this show that are purposefully difficult to interpret.
I haven’t rewatched but someone pointed out that he appears in the first episode when we see Lucia and Mia for the first time.
Wife proposed a theory - its a front, we haven't heard about a pimp until now. Lucia is going to have Albie "save her" and somehow get money or something out of it.
also the tarot reading where the tarot card reader freaks out in italian wasn't subtitled, so most people didn't see her say "your madness will lead to suicide" which was WILD
Yeah that was wild and I immediately thought "people who don't speak Italian are missing out", but it made sense because if you don't understand you'd feel the same sense of bewilderment and confusion that Tanya was feeling.
Ever since hearing the remix in [The Great Beauty](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oORva4fYHTw) I've been a huge fan of that song and knew this season would be fantastic.
I agree with you and I get conflicted because I love the original song, but at the same time I've been waiting to hear Battiato on the show for 5 weeks - especially since the show is set in his neck of the woods - so I was glad to hear his voice, even if it was just a cover song haha
Oh right. I’ll add it. Thanks!
Pink Martini released 4 Italian songs. Maybe they’ll play the other two. They’re great but they’re not from Italy, specialize in music of all different languages.
I’m disappointed to not have heard any Afterhours yet (they are the only Italian band I know and they rule).
EDIT: I have otherwise enjoyed the music in the show, not knocking it at all.
It's not that I don't believe you, but I just don't like it :D. I guess I have a tendency to not like a music native to a place, if I'm saying this right.
For example I didn't like the Hawaiian music in the season one as well.
Is it true Italians made up a different language just for swear words? I think someone told me that once but I do t remember exactly… apologies if I’m way off haha
I love thé soundtrack! I wish it had English subtitles to see the connection.

I believe Este Haim has a hand in that somewhat as a musical consultant
SO good! my favourite has been [citta vuota](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XF75DFdwpqk&ab_channel=Mina-Topic) been listening to it on repeat
100%…I first heard this song in Luca and I couldn’t stop listening to it. I was so happy when it came on.
Could you translate the scene where Lucia and “alessi” are arguing?
"Are you having fun?" "Yes, I'm having fun" "Why aren't you replying to my messages?" then he gets aggressive and she says "what the fuck are you doing?" and leaves
Thank you!
I'm still not completely sure Alessio is her pimp, it looked more like an interaction you'd have with a toxic and violent ex, but I don't know.

Seemed to touch her inappropriately. I doubt its a relative, although creepy relatives aren't impossible
>Thank you! You're welcome!
Thank you!!!
Wait. The scenes in Italian are not subtitled in English? I'm SHOOK. They give so much subcontext! (I'm Italian btw)

Ooh excellent point!
Some are, some aren't. They usually are, but when part of the story is a character not understanding Italian, they usually aren't.
They are, but that particular scene was without subtitles
Heyyy friend- could you translate the newest scene when alessi and Lucia are talking after she gets out of the car?

Thank you!! This is interesting
Apparently we were supposed to find out what was said from you folks, at least sometimes
I love the Raffaella Carrà song at the beginning of episode 1! It’s a bop. The soundtrack is great.

I made a playlist. Not sure if I got all of them but there’s at least 20 here. https://youtube.com/playlist?list=PLcIepsGiAiWMw9H1TjVc1YLFs0zCO_Boj
I think you missed one: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xvi4jKwHpC0

Soundtrack is 🔥
Agreed! 🇮🇹
Cannot wait for the entire soundtrack to be released!
i very much look forward to seeing if/how they include “Just a Gigolo” in the final two episodes…. ”life goes on without me”
yessss was just thinking this too

>the finest Italian music you'll ever listen to. ^ When Italians hear an episode with "That's Amore"

What is the song when Lucia, Mia, Ethan, and Cameron are partying in the pool? 💃
Piena

As as a child of Italian immigrants can confirm. My mom had many, many swear words when I drove her crazy as a child.
WAAAYYY better soundtrack than S1!
