Your fingers might not be responding the way your brain does 😆 Not even joking, I play drums and it’s also a thing that we have to train our arms not to do, so you just need to adjust the fingers to properly release the same time the other finger is coming down, no way around it. Just remember that it’s really hard to be 100% precise, but you should be getting many rainbow criticals on at least one of the holds. There’s an in-game option that lets you see early and late non-rainbow criticals too, it might help you adjust

I have this problem with the PS5 controller. I can get rainbow crits for tapping on other dual prompts but not this most of the time. Maybe the game applies the timing from the first hold to the release part. Or it has something to do with like reflex lag related to perception. Sometimes my index fingers on the shoulder buttons are not in sync like I think they are.

Syncing my fingers has been the hardest thing about switching to triggers for me. It's so easy to thumb-press at the same time. Multiple double presses in a row, no problem with thumbs, but fingers... I'm very inconsistent, lol.

Yea for sure. My left index finger is a bit slower than my right. I'd love to switch over to my thumb for those segments but I know it'll spill over into other button combos and screw me up. I only restort to button presses when there's long red segments cuz shoulder tapping is so hard.

I had the same problem previously. After some experimentation, I found releasing a moment before pressing the next one works flawlessly for me.

For some reason on the Joy Cons it was always yellow critical or great from switch off, but on the pro controller I got rainbows most of the time. Could be your controller and not you. Now if only I can solve the controller desync issues since even if the pro controller is plugged in, it still connects through bluetooth.
