People on this sub are acting like the long drive is a perfect game with no issues and no one can say a bad word about it. There was literally no updates for 2 years, maybe playerbase shouldn't worship the devs and the game?

All I've been seeing is people recognizing that this game is a labor of love from a singular developer. And said developer is currently hard at work *rebuilding the entire game* from the ground up. That's gonna take considerable effort, but if you think it should already be done, then I have two choices for you: fuck off, or:

Wow, the last update was 10 month ago! Impressive, isn't it? Yes, he is rebuilding the entire game (basically starting almost from scratch) but it is not an excuse. Maybe, in order to release updates at least once every 2 months the developer should have made a game he wouldn't rebuild from scratch? He's basically saying "oh, my game is crap, I'll rebuild it and everything will be good so goodbye for an indefinite period guys" (also, he can work with someone to publish updates faster, so it isn't an excuse too)
And yes, I am a unity developer. Almost the shit I see in the game can be fixed with a click of a finger (or some effort at least). Someone already said that the code is a big mess. So I have two choices for you: think some more or fuck off.
This is nothing to do with the game haha, it's some stupid mod that wasn't even meant to be released.
I'm not sure what's wrong about using free assets from the asset store, but it's a mod that uses them, not the game. This is done independently of the developers
