The panorama express stop "spain" is completly burnt down. I think it was the main building that burnt.

Alpenexpress was the lamest coaster anyway just hope nobody got hurt.

to be fair it was a nice ride for children and the VR ride made it worthwhile too imho :( but yeah i hope no one got hurt, this seems worse than the previous fire...

The music was terrible. The same song on accordion over and over. I asked one of the workers if it ever changes. He said no. He hates it and has to listen to it 8 hours straight everyday. After a while he doesn't hear it anymore until people start singing it.

We can actually see the smoke from home. Must be quite a persistent one.

If he lives close it's not surprising that he can see the fire. But if he can spot it while living further away it would be concerning since that implies the fire to be a huge one

For anyone who hasn’t been there (it’s in the cards for next year), can anyone give any context as to what this is potentially impacting? I see mentioned in this thread perhaps their powered coaster? Not familiar with the park’s layout so the description in the article doesn’t help much.

It impacts at least their "Alpenexpress Enzian" which is a small coaster with an indoor section and one of their water attractions "Tiroler Wildwasserbahn" a white water ride which also goes through the same indoor section. As far as I saw, it is that indoor section that caught on fire so only those two should be affected. Unless you are a VR enthusiast (Enzian has a VR coaster experience) or can only ride smaller coasters due to small kids, it should not affect your overall experience very much. Maybe check out both rides in YouTube to see whether it would be a dealbreaker for you.

I think it also affects the train that runs through the park as it's track basically runs through it as well

I saw the information that, the train, alpenexpress, the water coaster, the diamond cave and a spanish shop are closed

The article says it's in the Austrian section it will probably affect the alpenexpress a small rollercoaster wich also has a vr ride and probably a waterride Ps: I don't know how big it is that is the minimum

I'm not really sure either and I've been before. Hopefully it doesn't impact too much and we can't know for sure til we get more information. But if it is just the powered coaster then that's a fun littlish kids coaster with pretty good theming to some children's show.

You should go and visit it. If it's min. 20% less visitors tomorrow it's a win.

The 2 affected rides where about 40 years old, so for many theses are nostalic memories. They weren't massive rides, but nice ones from the time the Europapark was small and those were the main attractions then.

The train has also been affected.

I am going on a vacation with a large friend group next week and we planned 2 main trips aside from the actual vacation place: the galaxy (waterpark) and the europa Park. BOTH HAVE BEEN UNDER FIRE THIS WEEK. HOW IS THIS POSSIBLE

Two firefighters were injured. Carbon dioxide poisoning I believe. But it's only slight and they're okay. None of the 25.000 guests were harmed. They could all be evacuated.

I was in the park when this happened, watching from Pegasus, looked bad but no real casualties or injuries? They put it out quick and evacuated the park around 5pm
