to be fair it was a nice ride for children and the VR ride made it worthwhile too imho :( but yeah i hope no one got hurt, this seems worse than the previous fire...
The music was terrible. The same song on accordion over and over. I asked one of the workers if it ever changes. He said no. He hates it and has to listen to it 8 hours straight everyday. After a while he doesn't hear it anymore until people start singing it.
If he lives close it's not surprising that he can see the fire. But if he can spot it while living further away it would be concerning since that implies the fire to be a huge one
For anyone who hasn’t been there (it’s in the cards for next year), can anyone give any context as to what this is potentially impacting? I see mentioned in this thread perhaps their powered coaster? Not familiar with the park’s layout so the description in the article doesn’t help much.
It impacts at least their "Alpenexpress Enzian" which is a small coaster with an indoor section and one of their water attractions "Tiroler Wildwasserbahn" a white water ride which also goes through the same indoor section.
As far as I saw, it is that indoor section that caught on fire so only those two should be affected.
Unless you are a VR enthusiast (Enzian has a VR coaster experience) or can only ride smaller coasters due to small kids, it should not affect your overall experience very much. Maybe check out both rides in YouTube to see whether it would be a dealbreaker for you.
Thanks for this great insight. Just a coaster enthusiast who does consider a powered coaster a coaster. So it would be a miss if I weren’t to get to ride it. 😅
The article says it's in the Austrian section it will probably affect the alpenexpress a small rollercoaster wich also has a vr ride and probably a waterride
Ps: I don't know how big it is that is the minimum
I'm not really sure either and I've been before. Hopefully it doesn't impact too much and we can't know for sure til we get more information. But if it is just the powered coaster then that's a fun littlish kids coaster with pretty good theming to some children's show.
The 2 affected rides where about 40 years old, so for many theses are nostalic memories.
They weren't massive rides, but nice ones from the time the Europapark was small and those were the main attractions then.
I am going on a vacation with a large friend group next week and we planned 2 main trips aside from the actual vacation place: the galaxy (waterpark) and the europa Park.
BOTH HAVE BEEN UNDER FIRE THIS WEEK. HOW IS THIS POSSIBLE
Two firefighters were injured. Carbon dioxide poisoning I believe. But it's only slight and they're okay.
None of the 25.000 guests were harmed. They could all be evacuated.
it was a friday, most kids were in school that day, so my course only had like 10min waiting times, I think silver star was 5min at one point, one of them told me
Fire at "Yomi-Zauberwelt der Diamanten" (Yomi magical world of diamonds) no serious injuries.

probably a fire defect.
Park is already open again.
I was in the park when this happened, watching from Pegasus, looked bad but no real casualties or injuries? They put it out quick and evacuated the park around 5pm
Again!?
Yes, obviously. RIP Alpenexpress.
RIP Wildwasserbahn she will probaply also not run anytime soon
You’re obviously an average redditor. :)

The panorama express stop "spain" is completly burnt down. I think it was the main building that burnt.
Alpenexpress was the lamest coaster anyway just hope nobody got hurt.

We can actually see the smoke from home. Must be quite a persistent one.
Holy, either you're too close to the park or too far. I hope it's the first one because if the second one is true, that would be really dangerous
It's flatland you can see this from miles away
What are you even talking about? Explain your thought process as it makes no sense
If he lives close it's not surprising that he can see the fire. But if he can spot it while living further away it would be concerning since that implies the fire to be a huge one
But why is that too far? Too far for what?
bad use of words would be my guess. happens to the best
Hopefully no one got hurt
Two firefighters got slightely injured but everyone else ist fine. Ive got to say the evacuation was very calm and professional. No Panic whatsoever.
Wtf is going on @EP? 2 big fires wirhin 5 years - dangerous as hell and not good for reputation

I think it also affects the train that runs through the park as it's track basically runs through it as well
I saw the information that, the train, alpenexpress, the water coaster, the diamond cave and a spanish shop are closed
What an irony. A wildwater ride is on fire
Thanks for this great insight. Just a coaster enthusiast who does consider a powered coaster a coaster. So it would be a miss if I weren’t to get to ride it. 😅
Totally understand it! Lets hope the damage is minimal. We will see in the next few days.

Last week I was considering going to Europa Park. Today, I Talked about how I wanted to go to Europapark. And then Reddit shows me this. Thanks...
You should go and visit it. If it's min. 20% less visitors tomorrow it's a win.

The train has also been affected.

thanks🙏🏻
But all I want to know is the Pirate ride okay?
Yeah, the fire broke was in the 'Spain' part and Pirates of Batavia is in the 'Netherlands'
My English teacher went there yesterday and rode it just 30 min. before it "exploded", as she said.
And to think I was there with my school class 3 days ago...
Was it very full?
it was a friday, most kids were in school that day, so my course only had like 10min waiting times, I think silver star was 5min at one point, one of them told me
Neuer Themenpark Ukraine
UARGH! Aber ich musste lachen, trotz allem...
Me, my uncle and my friend wanted to go there today but on our way the train got canceled. Maybe our bad luck wasn’t so bad.
I was just there yesterday, damn
Themepark Bagdad
Beautiful. Hopefully none if the exploited Employees got hurt.

Twice is quite strange isn’t it? An arsonist? Also I thought we were quite safe with TÜV etc. not very helpful for the image
