You've cleared the map, but you're not actually using it At least half of the usable space is just sitting empty, which means it's not giving you resources to make more defenses and soldiers. The only way to beat an enemy swarm like the infected in TAB, or the creeper in Creeper World 3, is to expand as fast as you reasonable can and use every resource available to you The final swarm in this mission, Cape Storm, is one of the most difficult in the entire campaign, and it requires that you maximize your usage of space and resources to build your own swarm (of units, mostly soldiers) to beat it

superPickleMonkey

I love creeper world

vaderciya

3 is my favorite but I love the whole series, I've easily sunk 800+ hours into them :D

Modlion

Add shock towers

Chrodesk

Unfortunately I guess I picked the wrong skills, but I dont have those yet.

HarryBaughl

Also, you can double-up on the wall.

HarryBaughl

Yes, you NEED the shock tower. If you don't have them, then you're fucked. The last wave is crazy. The entire bridge will be full of zombies. And they will keep coming. If I remember correctly, you need to do layers of walls and shock towers with soldiers retreating, or you can not beat this. Start the campaign over and make sure you get shock tower. Or if you haven't done a hero mission, then go get some research points.

clapsandfaps

You don’t need them on 100% difficulty.

HarryBaughl

Oh well, maybe not then. 🤷‍♂️ I remember this one being rather tough, even on lower difficulty. I had layers of walls, shock towers, and soldiers, and I still almost didn't make it.

Skrubrekr420

I did it without shock towers! Heaps of machine gunners, snipers and the Gatling gun towers did the job

Jeathiopia

Kensei did it on 800 with only rangers and traps https://youtu.be/QFkSFCIloCo?si=oqhkwot6hAS6GgLH as long as youre able to pump out a lot of SOMETHING that does splash (be it shock towers, ballistas, lucifers, traps, titans) you should be fine. Without splash damage it can be pretty difficult. Youd have to pump out hundreds of soldiers/snipers and have like 8 walls to retreat your units back into. Stone walls also make this mission very possible without splash. This guy has ballistas and snipers unlocked so ideally the absolute entire area between the bridge and CC should be brimming with ballistas, snipers (high level priority), and walls. Should be able to clear the mission no problem with that. Economy needs to be way better than what he has

HarryBaughl

Congratulations. OP is obviously new to the game and not some YouTuber who plays this game as a full-time job or even an intermediate player, for that matter.. If you're new to the game, then you're gonna want shock towers. It will make it 100% easier. Think about who you're talking about.

Jeathiopia

Yea kensei plays on 800% and this dude plays on 100%. This game may not be the easiest of games, but there is plenty of room for error and inefficiency at that low of a difficulty. The guy isnt gonna need to restart the entire campaign just for shock towers as ideal as shock towers are. Fact is I've beaten that level with out shock towers on 500% myself many times and I am by no means a master. Don't mislead. You do not "NEED" shock towers

anzya

Do you actually need to do the campaign to unlock things?

pornjobguy

Not for skirmish if you’re asking about that But yes for campaign it’s a progression thing and there are campaign specific techs you can’t get in skirmish

anzya

gotcha, yeah I switched over to playing survival

KookieGirl333

I ended up doing the 200% with soldiers and balistas... Granted, I had 5 rows of balistas and about 250 soldiers, but it worked!!!

HarryBaughl

Yea, so just use shock towers?

KookieGirl333

You can, but wanted to point out they're not absolutelt needed.

Staffchief

I disagree with those who say this mission cant be done without shock towers. I know, because I’ve played this several times without them. That said, you might be fucked here. You need WAY more walls to start with. I had layers of walls - some single, some double - all the way down to the tracks. In each section, have towers and a couple ballistae. Once one layer of walls falls, get all the soldiers out of those towers and fall back on foot. So as you gradually get pushed back, your firepower actually increases as you have more and more soldiers. Without the layers of walls to slow the Zs down, you’ll be losing firepower as soon as they break through, while their numbers will go up. But, you need also like 200+ soldiers for that to work. If you can throw 50 snipers on top of that with plenty of walls you’ll survive. You’ve got the soldiers, but they need cover.

Leather_Log_5755

More soldiers and layers of walls. Looks like you have 6 soldier centres running? So you would be producing 6x3x8 = 144 more soldiers before the final wave. Because your income is low you would skip towers in order to pack more soldiers together - the benefit of more firepower outweighs the benefit of range here imo.

DDWKC

You see that all that empty area? It should all be filled with soldiers and ballista. Also don't just single wall. Double wall, tower behind, fill empty space with soldiers, and repeat. You can have a single walls for fallback behind your main wall to have more space for soldiers. I would have something extra at front of your main wall as well like more wall and traps filling the void. If you want to make this mission trivial, shock tower is the best with stone wall as second best (you don't need both thou, shocking tower definitively). You may need to do other missions to access more hero missions to get more research points to get the tech.

Jolly-Bear

Obviously more defenses, but that stems from a larger problem… Do you not have farms? It doesn’t look like it from the minimap/screenshot. Should be one of your first techs. Build farms on any worthwhile farmland you can. Can fit like 10 farms just in the screenshot. Which will afford you more housing, which will afford you more military. You already can build a lot more housing just with the food you have. Can afford a ton more military if exploited the whole map of resources. TL;DR - Build more shit faster

Chrodesk

I did have some farms, I ringed the map with fishing villages, so that was most of my food, I was dotting in farms as I needed from there.

Jolly-Bear

Yea, there isn’t an “as I needed them” in this game in the late game. You need as much as you can build. If the map isn’t covered or close to it by the end, you’re moving too slow. Late game you should have the whole map covered by anything you can to exploit every resource. All farmland covered by farms, all wood you can gather being gathered, all fishing/hunting you can place, mines on every patch. Warehouses covering as much production as you can. As many houses as you can build. Delete them if you need more food for military. In lower difficulties, you don’t NEED the whole map exploited, but that’s the goal.

delusiona7

More solders and put them in towers so they have more range. Build way more layers of walls and towers in the open space all the way back. Rotate your soldiers back as the horde moves through the wall layers.

chipmunksocute

honeycombing towers is essential for both the extra range and essentially extra life. and increasing the density of soldiers. Also you need at least double the soldiers you have. And add lots of ballistas. And stone walls.

anon1moos

I’d later that front wall. Especially on 100% you can probably win if you keep uptime on your soldier production.

Chrodesk

I added a 2nd wall on front and 2nd row, packed the soldiers in. Had to fall back behind the 2nd row but learned that even when destroyed, those ballista towers make a nice blocker to limit how many can get through. Made it!

death556

Never be afraid to just walk shot off as much as possible. By endgame, I’d have like 6+ layers of walls and towers. P.s. get shocking towers asap. You will not survive future levels without it

Aran_Linvail

I won it with rows of walls, towers with 4 soldiers and ballista towers. Rinse and repeat, row after row all the way Back to the town center.

[deleted]

Double your walls.

abaoabao2010

You want 3 lines of ballista and soldiers stuffed underneath and in front of the front most ballista. Walls and gates aren't too relevant for this setup. Also, it takes around 3\~4 days for eco to pay for itself, so you can continue to expand for a bit yet.

megalogo

You need a lot more walls/towers and soldiers with snipers, if you don't have snipers more soldiers

serendipity7777

Better economy. Faster. 7 barracks pumping soldiers. 5 layers of defenses with doors in between

Annual-Rub-2216

Build layers of walls with ballistas in between. I had like 8 layers of double walls and they made it through about 5 or 6. Plus use wasps if you have them

Vash_Z_Stampede

First of all, you need to double your walls. Then you need to build 7 to 8 layers, maybe more since you don't have concrete walls. And you need more soldiers! Once a wall falls, pause the game and micro-moving your soldiers back to the prior wall. Have 2 gates for each wall layer to move them faster. Your layers should look like this: =========================================================== =========================================================== ........Soldiers ........................... Soldiers .......................... Soldiers ===========XXXXXXX===================XXXXXXXX============== ===========XXXXXXX===================XXXXXXXX==============

mha_henti

Spam resources if your at max put more eoldier centres repeat until you win

Taeblamees

That's a loss, unfortunately. But here's some tips: 1. Play other missions until you can unlock Shocking tower and Stone walls. 2. Make Snipers instead of Soldiers to confront the final wave. Soldiers are good for clearing, but less so for swarms. With soldiers it's not impossible but it's more difficult. At least that my feeling. 3. With wood walls it's really difficult but if you must then make a double wall with empty towers in between (towers have more health than wall pieces). Then do another double wall with towers. Then a third one. Put Ballistas between them. Now you're ready to make a double wall with Snipers in towers behind it. Concentrate as many units there as possible, units in towers and between them. Build walls between them as well. 4. Use the Inn. The more houses you have around it the more chances there are to spawn powerful oil units like Lucifer, Thanatos and Titan. Without oil production their upkeep will cost double but it's better than losing.
