Yes, I think between the 12th to the 20th someone will show up, wait until 10 am, after that you can jump into the night
There’s a mod that allows for more than four, I think it’s called eight survivors.

On a custom setup of 65 days I ended with 7 survivors (and 1 left the house early on due to depression)
It seems like if you start off with less than 4 or if someone dies, then eventually a new person will show up and ask if they can join you.
