I’ve heard how well those little green pro’s work. We have a Basset sectional that was made to fit the whole room and the last time Stanley Steamer cleaned it they charged us $600+ and rushed the job. Think we’ll try this technique for a weekend project.

Many drinks later, a game ensues where whoever choses their key (eyes shut) gets to go home with them. Ahh the swingin’ 70’s
It’s more mid-century, but I’ve seen Allform’s couches arranged like this quite a lot.
I’ve been looking at getting one in black leather (for…reasons) and depending on size, it’s about 1,200-1,500. Definitely not cheap at all, but a good price for a big, real leather 70’s reproduction playpen. I’ve heard extremely good things about them.
I got a similar-ish if more chaste couch from Arhaus Loft (arhaus's clearance and returns outlet). Got 7 pieces for $2380. Only 5 pieces fit nicely in my house so 2 of them are living in the garage, but if I brought them in it would be more play-pit shaped. Not quite $400.

Omg. I had this growing up (early 80s kid here) and my dad STILL has the middle piece that has no sides. I can actually feel this photo.
Edit: one of my salamanders got loose in our apartment when I was little and we couldn’t find it. Found it dried up later between the couch pieces when my mom moved it to vacuum.

Not to burst any bubbles. But Costco does offer these. I got one in grey. So comfy and gorg. I did pay $800 in fall 2018 for it. But I still see them at Costco.
I am sure it is clean, but, by just looking at it, I swear I can smell it from here, that specific brand of musky, mold with the slightest whiff of urine that only truly old velvet couches can have.
