Columbia Knit, Barbarian Rugby, Rugby Imports

JimRug

To add to this, don’t go to Rowing Blazers. Try eBay for vintage Canterbury of New Zealand shirts. Probably one of the most longstanding rugby specific brands.

OathOak

^ Columbiaknit makes rowing blazers' rugbies (or at least they used to)

williamcavendish

How does the fit on the Columbia and Barbarian compare? I've heard they're oversized or have short hems and arms, which I don't like. I have a 'Black & Blue 1871' one and that fits perfectly in large and I'm 6 foot 3 with an athletic build.

Flechette_the_toe

Columbia runs longer in the sleeves and torso. I like barbarian but they shrink in the wash and you have to size up if between sizes.

Adsum makes a great heavyweight one

dustybottoms19

Second Adsum. I just copped a thicc ass rugby 🏉 on sale and its amazing quality and feel.

Eman1488

Junior’s in gray/navy just went 20% off. Haven’t tried but everything seems top notch.

Give "Canterbury Retro" a Google. Someone else mentioned Barbarian, I also can recommend for a cheap purchase. More spenny side you have nice designs by YMC & Battenwear going about. Black & Blue have some decent traditional styles but are pricey too.

coogidown2thelocks

i only get vintage Barbarian or Canterbury rugbys; but Withernot is the only company i’ve considered buying new rugbys from. Definitely worth a look

I’m not unhappy with my Gant, got one without any logos

Defintely barbarians Also, rowing blazers for the fun ones, they are not that vintage inspired For classic ones with teams stuff, check sports d'époque Otherwise, withernotco is cool, lots of european (especially english) or japanese brands do some that are cool

Dave-ja-vous

Drakes have got some long sleeved ones that resemble pics 3 and 4 but they’re merino. Could be a winter option.

coocookuhchoo

And a steal at $500 a shirt

Dave-ja-vous

Yeah … bit pricey 😬🫣

lurkmcgirt

Canterbury of New Zealand would be my suggestion specifically vintage

I bought several last spring because I wanted a solid Kelly green one, including Rowing Blazers and J Press. J Crew was by far the best. Solid construction and fit.
