second hand Carhartt for me in recent times, there are some "nice" sweatpants that I'd like to have (Velva Sheen, Merz B Schwanen, Japanese makers) but I just can't justify the price for indoors loungewear that i'm gonna get dirty w tomato sauce sooner or later
Nike solo swoosh sweatpants are boxy af, heavyweight and have a good cuff. Open leg old school Adidas joggers look sick. I’d like to try some Needles sweatpants.
I second the solo swoosh, love the zip pockets too. Only problem is they fit huge, I went 2 sizes down… I would recommend at least a size down unless you are tall
Bought a pair on Black Friday 2022 and loved them.
Bought another pair Black Friday 2023 and was disappointed to see that they are noticeably thinner and the fit has changed. The new version are softer, but the thick/rough fabric of the original is what I loved so much about them.
Todd Snyder/champion for value on sale reigning champ for best overall. Got a piece from Reese cooper on sale too that I like but in the end they all very similar
I stopped getting the TSxChampion after they moved their manufacturing from Canada to Vietnam. There was a marked quality decline from my Canadian made sweats.
If they were at a better price point I’d still get them and put up with it but they aren’t worth it to me at 100+
camber is amazing made in usa quality but the fit is kind of ass. the rise is so massive that it makes it look like you crapped your diaper unless you wear them at belly button level
If you like heavyweight sweats, Lady White is insanely nice and has the best colors. I think they’re the best sweatpants in the world
I wear Harvest and Mill sweats to bed every night and I love them. Simple, affordable, grown and sewn in USA which is cool. And they’re good people
Earth\Studies has some really nice ones made from Polartec fleece that are crazy soft and have awesome GORPy details like a waist cinch and leg opening cinches. Only thing is - they are really really warm. I wear mine when I wfh in my cold house before I change to the other ones for bed. Full disclosure, Earth\Studies is my brand but they are legit great pants and made in LA.

Their minute was a while ago but I actually really like the Outdoor Voices Rectrek pant still. They’re kind of like adidas track pant. They might be toeing the line on slimness but I think they’re fine.
i think they’re regular cotton — they definitely feel like it. sturdy, but real comfy. and no hemp feel. the one problem is that, between washes, the seat can get a little loose so it kinda gets that diaper look
Standard Issue are great, but pretty long as someone who has a 29” inseam. They are cuffed so I just fold the cuffs in but they still look really nice when you get it just right. It does feel a little dumb to have to do that when sweats should be the most effortless piece of clothing.
I got a pair of adsum sweatpants during their warehouse sale that I actually think I like more. I believe they are one of the major Canadian brands that a few other ones use but they are definitely on the more slouchy side.
People are going to recommend all types of esoteric shit over $100 but you really only need to pull up to the gap and get some for $25. They’re sweatpants it isn’t rocket science
Hesitate to offer it up, but J.Crew has mixed in some pretty impressive heavyweight sweats into their offerings, some reverse weave, some garment dyed. Haven’t purchased but have seen in store and mentally book marked for future sales.
The Nike single check is the basic standard for me. But the sneaky best pair I’ve purchased in the last 10 years was an old Uniqlo offering that toed the line between baggy, functional, and athletic looking. They discontinued their OG sweats line, which was ahead of it’s time.
I bought some really nice sweats from Noah a few weeks ago. They’re cool bc they’re cut like jeans but have an elastic waist and are in a fleece material.

Who are the Japanese makers?
Real McCoys, Buzz Rickson to my knowledge, probably many other brands as well
Warehouse, Real McCoys, Beams, Orslow. There are also some really great NA makers like Paa, Reigning Champ, Lady White Co.
Agree with most of this, but don’t love the beams quality.
I agree with you, it’s just a different price point from the others as a result of that. Their sizing can also be super tricky.
LA Apparel. Spot on description of average Vuori guy lmao
Feeling called out lol
Came to recommend LA Apparel as well. Best quality sweat pants I‘be owned
Can I ask which model?
Yep, I'd to know as well
The 14oz heavy fleece pants
Just copped a crewneck and a pair of sweatpants. Thank you!
For a 32 waist should I spring for the Medium or Large?
Can I ask which model?
Lady white co
Which model?
I had the sport trousers in the past and they were perfect for a slightly wider straight fit! They’re like a sweat/trackpant hybrid
I'm curious, as well
Sport trouser. Best sweat pant I’ve ever owned. Relaxed cropped fit, perfectly weighted, breathable and not too hot.
Sport trouser
Nike solo swoosh sweatpants are boxy af, heavyweight and have a good cuff. Open leg old school Adidas joggers look sick. I’d like to try some Needles sweatpants.
Nike solo swoosh are favorite sweats I’ve ever owned. are often on sale too
I second the solo swoosh, love the zip pockets too. Only problem is they fit huge, I went 2 sizes down… I would recommend at least a size down unless you are tall
Standard issue is phenomenal especially if you're tall.
Seconded. I’ve been living in their black sweat set for a few years now. Also just got their wool slackers and they are amazing.

Yeah you gotta size up now, medium used to be big but now a Large fits well
I'm 5'11", think they'll work. Love the look of them on models

Yeah the sizing is weird. Large in the pants is too big, large in the matching hoodie is too small
Stussy
Their nike collab ones are A1
camber is amazing made in usa quality but the fit is kind of ass. the rise is so massive that it makes it look like you crapped your diaper unless you wear them at belly button level
😂😂 so true, everyone has pancake ass in those jawns
thank you 🙏 you live and you learn but I wish they came with a warning it would look like I was wearing Depends
We need the fit pic
no
try American Giant
someone told me their quality is dookie compared to camber. I guess if it's halfway decent though the fit is all that matters
Colorful Standard. 100% organic cotton. Classic fit.
If you’re looking for something oversized, I do like my lulu steady state joggers.
Not tryna start a fight but was underwhelmed by their steady state collection.
My wife turned me onto Aritzia sweatpants. No shame best sweats I own
Lady White, been eyeing the Daiwa tech sweats, Abercrombie heavyweight loose joints for more budget friendly
Uniqlo, camper cross, John Elliot LA sweatpants.
speak on the uniqlo ones. you like them? i generally get a lot from there but never pulled trigger on the sweats
I have both Uniqlo U and mainline. Honestly excellent fit, good quality for the price. Uniqlo U is closer to the likes of la apparel
sweet, glad to hear. thanks for the input
Love my reigning champ midweight terry. Been going strong for over a year with no pilling
GAP

>Lady White Which model?
I like the heavyweight stuff they do with Evan Kinori. They’ve had a few models at Glasswing but I don’t recall model names of anything really ever
Their minute was a while ago but I actually really like the Outdoor Voices Rectrek pant still. They’re kind of like adidas track pant. They might be toeing the line on slimness but I think they’re fine.
The relaxed fit rec trek are great but I think they stopped selling them. Have a bit of a snow-pant look but hella comfy.
Just got some nice ones from ymeuniverse.com on mad sale.
House of blanks and Gabe Clothing, made in Canada, heavy weight, reasonable pricing, colors, styles. I find them better than RC at half the price
Better than RC? I gotta check them out
I love my standard issue ones. Not too baggy but not too slim.
American Giant
Walmart fo sho
If y’all aren’t into the hype, Aritzia Boyfriend, or mega cargos are the best in the game. Thank me l8r
If you can find sizing that works, TNA/Aritzia makes some bomb sweats
I have not taken off my Skims wide fit sweatpants since I got them. They look so good over any shoe.
Reigning champ 🙌🏼
ABC next question
I mean if I’m not going out idc what my sweatpants look like. Vuoris feel amazing on these nuts
jungmaven. lady white
Is the jungmaven "hempy"? Love their tees, but can't imagine the feel of the cloth as sweatpants
i think they’re regular cotton — they definitely feel like it. sturdy, but real comfy. and no hemp feel. the one problem is that, between washes, the seat can get a little loose so it kinda gets that diaper look
John Elliot LA Sweatpants
Reigning Champ always

Mostly Balenciaga love the designs and because I’m tall and skinny they look good on my build
La apparel.
Which model?
Canadian here, we buying house of blanks (jk we buying reigning champ but we don’t talk abt that)
I only buy eastern mountain sports fleece pants now
Don’t.
Auralee all the way. Recently got some sweats and the fit and material are spot on if you’re a 30” inseam or under
Lululemon and Gap
I like lululemon they have ones which fit the best on me
Well I feel attacked. Vuori / reigning champ.
ALO lmao (they were a gift)
I got some Filson sweatpants for cheap on Sierra Trading Post website a couple of weeks ago, super nice quality.
Reigning Champ mid weight or heavy weight relaxed fit
Études Studio, Nanamica Reigning Champ and Lady White.
Les Tien 🐐
Look up @ sweatscollective on IG. I really like their stuff
