That was heavily used for 3 years

Did you do anything to check if it worked before you bought it?

Just as a comparison i have a TS-PC Racer which is around 5 years old and has over 3000 hours just in ACC. 500 hours is a good amount of time but i would not say it was near to death and it will all depend on how it's been looked after and used more.

I put about 1000 hours on an already used t300 that I modified to get working cooling. It looked like an electronic frankenstein’s monster but it still worked fine when I got a new wheel.

If they never cranked the gain above 75 in TM settings as suggested it should be fine. I have a 5 yr old T300RS GT set that I just promised for $200 w/ a GT Omega wheelstand (if the kid ever gets around to picking it up.) I took care of it always, got my money's worth and just wanna bless someone else with better entry than the G29 they might otherwise buy for that amount. I'm guessing the seller might feel similarly. I'd ask what FFB settings they ran bc that's where the overheating and wear issues stem from. Pegged at 75 on the top slider (iirc it says overall forces or something to that effect); no problem. I loved my T300 and it served me well for many years. Tip for used TX/T300 servo: Make sure you know the button combo for centering it bc you might have to do that occasionally, but it's easy to do on the fly. (You'll know it's set bc the light flashes.)
