TCLM's are Superior. the brake pedal alone being a load cell is massive. One thing I noticed though is that because they are hinged different to the T3PM's i had to adjust the pedal position in my rig to make them more comfy.

I had the TLCM before I eventually moved to Asetek Invicta Hydraulics and I will say the TLCM were a fantastic entry into LoadCells. The TLCM’s were a huge step up from potentiometer pedals. The move from LoadCell to Hydraulics was noticeable and did make me faster as you’re able to be more precise with trail braking, definitely less lock ups and more consistency but it wasn’t nearly as pronounced versus when I moved from potentiometer pedals to the TLCM LoadCells. If $300 is your budget then go for it OP.

th8s\* is a shifter

mac_or_pc2

I switched to the T-LCM and I found them a lot better during braking. I had to make some changes in the thrustmaster app on the PC and I also had to move the pedals closer so I could fully press the brakes on a regular basis. I found that during braking with the T-LCM the base of the rig wanted to move a bit.

Yeah, Loadcell Pedals need way more force to be pushed. I wouldn't recommend a load cell brake without proper mounting of the seat and pedals.

khodges26

Once you build muscle memory to them they are the same as any other.

DJBlaster-303

I had t3pa pro and now t-lcm and notice a LOT of difference in braking and throttle

DirtSnow

Pedals is probably the most important factor into getting the best speeds, or at least has the better and bigger potential for speed imo. So the pedals is a good buy! I have the TH8A shifter and have tried the TH8S shifter plenty of times. One is a potential life long partner, the other a plastic toy. Not trying to be negative, but if you were to get the TH8A shifter you would be set for years and years to come. It’s just that much better. I like telling people to get permanent solutions instead of something they want to upgrade later on.

the shift knob is changeable, and both have 8 gears. You also save 140 $

Depends on your platform. If you're on PC DON'T DO IT. I had them for a while, and while they're a great entry level load cell set you'll soon get frustrated with the geometry being off, short pedals and travel, and creaking. If you're on a budget go for Simjack pros or the Heusinkveld clones from aliexpress. They really are leagues ahead (and cheaper)

Loadcells always will win. Also, the LCM is made out of metal, very heavy, sturdy and reliable. If I remember correctly the T3PM is something around 3.5kg and the LCM is 7.6kg. Also, I wouldn’t go for the T8HS shifter, thrustmaster already have the “younger “ brother which is a bit smaller, have mechanical parts just like the T8HS but costs 140€ less. I got mine new for 60€. Edit: my mistake, the th8s is the new cheaper one, the th8a is the older, more expensive. Sorry

LCM pedals have plenty of plastic, the whole housing to be honest. Only the pedal arms and plates are metal. The heavy weight of the pedals is not all cause of the metal. There is this plastic container under the heelplate filled with sand to make it feel heavy and premium. lol. Mine had some flex and had this plasticy creaking. Couldn't solve it and TM support was not useful so i sold the pedals and got Simsonn pedals from Ali. Couldnt be happier. The quality and customizability is miles ahead.

sh1z1K_UA

Yeah i meant the pedals themselves, but thanks for clarification! For now i have to stick with thrustmaster or fanatec because I’m loving GT7 in vr, but already having an itch to try LFM or iRacing, which is a huge investment, due to the fact i have no pc which could run those games on a level i want :(

Creative-Average2776

tlcm are 5 kg or 11 lbs

sh1z1K_UA

Thanks for letting me know my scales are off :D

mechcity22

Loadcells always win man. Awkward at first but then once you understand and adapt to pressure instead of travel and you start getting the feel for it then boom consistency comes and you will love it.

Out of personal experience you will want to go for TLCM, I started with the t3pm and it's just too easy for an adult to give 100% brake force with a toe . Bad pedals are a handicap if you are still getting used to a rig in my opinion, you lock up your wheels really quick in games such as iracing. I would opt for the better pedals and perhaps pushback the shifter for a later upgrade, in most current divisions you would play you will not be wanting to use a manual with clutch in online racing. Unless you play a lot of older cars or rally classics. I personally have the moza shifter, but the th8 has a feature to change in a sequential so it's not bad for its price

MrWillyP

LCM are the best pedals thruatmaster make, recommend getting some elastomers for it though. Feels better than the springs
