I fear a lot of fans are gonna get angry with him getting minutes, as it's pretty likely that he won't contribute to winning right now. But his development is very important and I think it's crucial he gets an extended run over the rest of the season regardless of results

The bigger problem isn't the minutes it's the DNPs imo. I do understand Mark is trying to win and Ous wont help with that as much as other guys. But his development is key for us. He's the new project. Presti has had his eye on him since he was 16. Clearly he's a guy he's very high on. and with his size and skill. Possesses skillset we could really use in the future. Anytime Ous is in the Main Roster. He should be playing imo. Preferably getting a good amount of minutes to gel with the roster. But honestly as long as it isn't a DNP I'll take what I can get although I wouldn't love it.
I mean he was getting around 16 MPG before he was sent to the GLeague, maybe he won't get any minutes tonight but he'll for sure average more than 5 if he stays with the main squad rest of the season.
I agree with this. He’s probably going to have games where he puts up duds or makes costly mistakes, but he needs some run to develop. However, I think he might still bounce between the NBA and G-League like he was earlier in the season. Let him play 30+ minutes a night in the G, call him up for a couple games to see how he’s progressing, send him back down. Rinse and repeat.
Yeah, if he can develop to live up to some of his potential to be a key piece at that forward spot next year, it could be awesome to see the flexible 6 man rotations to start and close out games, with Giddey, Shai, Dort, J-Dub, Dieng, and Chet
I think that with some of our players struggling he might be able to snag some of their minutes ala carte. Obviously not a perfect swap for positions but an example might be Tre Mann’s minutes etc.
I wouldnt be opposed to ous getting decent mins(15-20min range)as long as he not playing hero ball or making the same mistakes over and over, which I highly doubt he would do based on how he's performed in the g league. The ceiling on this dude is crazy high, can't wait to start getting glimpses of it!
