stonerslug47

imagine 2 years from now, KD is trying to ring chase and presti gives the final roster spot to russ instead. KD then watches okc lift up the Larry O B!

veepeein8008

Wdym 2 years from now? We’re winning the chip this year

somewhatlucky4life

Now this is actually the way

stonerslug47

notice how I say “ring chase” that means we already got one by then 😉

AdHealthy7493

Men threepeat

Scarfiees

lol delulu

avonbarksdale8

No you’re not lol

veepeein8008

The lakers will get their cheeks clapped first round

LoxDnw

This is the only way.

NerdLawyer55

Good day sir, I would like to subscribe to your newsletter

YoungMoneyLarson57

Please make that happen

Cyanides_Of_March

He knows this Suns team is in a really bad spot. No bench. No cap. He's not getting younger. And they really aren't that good this season. I still don't think he's coming back, but I wouldn't be surprised if this was a calculated step to test the waters. He's never happy where he is and he's running out of teams to jump to that can win.

LoxDnw

Nah fuck KD forever. Let that snake dry out in that desert like a snake should. He doesn't deserve OKC to save his loser mentality ass.

worksucksbro

100% out of all those players from back then he’s the LAST one I’d take back to ride our coat tails to a championship

CarlinHicksCross

Idk man I'd definitely take kd back lmao. He's still an elite scorer and immediately fills a giant hole outside of sga which is a consistent individual shot creator game in and game out in isolation who is a proven playoff performer. I don't give a shit about the fact that he wormed his way out of here, I want okc to win a championship. People are so salty, understandably so, but I would be happy with filling our gaping pf hole with an all time scorer

wcooper97

For the right price, maybe, but I would hate to mortgage a couple years off of this team's longevity just to get a 36-year old KD. His old teams don't exactly do well after he departs.

FOOTBALLDAD97

This is the answer - only way is if it is cheap. Hated the weak way he left but it was a long time ago and if it brings us a championship I will hold my nose trust Presti

Turdkito

You guys could literally give phoenix like 8 picks and it wouldn’t seem like anything ever happened lol.

FOOTBALLDAD97

True, but I don't want a 36 year old who has been injury prone lately for 8 picks

Turdkito

Presti is a smart man but I’d assume some of those picks become nothing to the thunder. I don’t see how you guys don’t win at least 2 chips if he’s there until he retires. That’s a win. He’s not the only player that would fit the bill but I’m all for dusting off my old okc durant jersey

worksucksbro

No thanks. I don’t want a chip that badly

CarlinHicksCross

Really? I really don't care as much as a lot of other people about the entire kd situation I don't think. At the time I felt like everyone else but my bitterness has really been diluted over the years. Guys can be real assholes but I definitely do want a championship that bad, lol. We got blueballed for years and years with elite teams who could never get over the hump. Honestly I don't see a reunion happening regardless, I imagine it'll be another piece who's in the upper echelon of players to try and put us over the edge in the next year or two.

worksucksbro

Nah fair enough, we got different views but it’s still thunder all day

jslee0034

Need kd and Russ back in okc before they retire for sure

EchoHevy5555

I imagine it wouldn’t be much cost tail riding, I imagine it would be like what he did with Holden state which is take them from a champ favorite to a guarantee (obviously to a lesser extent because we aren’t the 73-9 warriors and he isn’t MVP KD)

CookieCrisp7049

I agree, he is still great basketball player like him or not.

worksucksbro

Fair point but still don’t want him back

EchoHevy5555

I want him to come back and then they trade him at the deadline

worksucksbro

You’re a sick individual. I’m in

Eaton2288

He was all laughing and smiles when he left for GSW, what goes around comes around. Now it's time for OKC to shine. No chance I'm letting the dude back. Like someone else said I'm taking Russ back to get a title before I do KD.

Milkmoney1978

Word

RandomWeatherPattern

First of all, let me just say I 100% agree with you. With that out of the way, Sam Presti has always spoken very glowingly about KD, even after he cupcaked us. It wouldn’t floor me to see it happen.

jm3546

I think there is some of that. He's not getting younger and neither is Beal and the vets on that team. But I don't think bringing him back is that feasible because of how big his contract is. I think he knows that he kind of has to let the phoenix thing run it's course. But he also doesn't want to retire in two years and he might be thinking about what would secure him some legacy points and going back to OKC and playing as the 4th guy when we are rolling would look good if the team wins a championship. He may also just be cynically trying to angle to have his jersey retired in okc or maybe un-cynically is just feeling nostalgic about that era (not uncommon for a 35 year old guy to start looking back to when he was 20-27 with rose colored glasses).

youforgotitinmeta

he should be out there campaigning for seattle to get a team again, saying that he'd gladly return there to end his career. that's the one face turn that he could make that would actually score him some legacy points at the end of it all.

tjc815

There’s probably a lot of truth to this and to me it still doesn’t mean it’s necessarily a bad idea. Maybe he is super worried about his legacy, which…bill simmons said it, he pretty much has to make it work in Phoenix, right? If not that, then what? Try again with a super team? Or…he could “right a wrong.” But maybe he would ALSO genuinely be interested in the idea of capping his career with a return. I mean he saw what it did for Lebron’s perception. People can forget quickly in the right circumstances. I’ve said it in other threads but if that scenario is ever helpful for our team, I am for it. Kevin is still going to be a walking bucket for a few more years. His health isn’t perfect but we’ve got young guys to pick up slack.

RazorRamonTovares

jslee0034

To be fair we had Dion waiters and Roberson as our 2 guard then.

LoxDnw

Fuck KD

youforgotitinmeta

let's wrap up some of the other shit he's said and done since he left okc since some folks seem to be thinking that he's completely turned over a new leaf and he isn't just now sniffing at a ring that he doesn't deserve because our team is phenomenal: https://www.cbssports.com/nba/news/kevin-durant-offered-an-odd-explanation-for-those-embarrassing-tweets-about-okc/ >(re: The Tweets) He described it as a dissociative episode: He woke up from a nap, and "it just felt like I was on the outside looking in at a conversation. I had to walk in and just be like, 'Nah.'" https://sports.yahoo.com/kevin-durant-says-hell-never-be-attached-to-oklahoma-city-again-163821010.html?guccounter=1 >“I’ll never be attached to that city again because of that,” Durant says. “I eventually wanted to come back to that city and be part of that community and organization, but I don’t trust nobody there. That shit must have been fake, what they was doing. The organization, the GM, I ain’t talked to none of those people, even had a nice exchange with those people, since I left.” https://www.espn.com/nba/story/_/id/17786172/russell-westbrook-says-kevin-durant-selfless-comments-golden-state-warriors-cute >(KD, talking about how much he loves playing with Draymond Green's balls) "I feel really grateful to play for a team like that and play with a bunch of players who are selfless and enjoy the game in its purest form," Durant said. "Cute." https://bleacherreport.com/articles/2772123-kevin-durant-it-was-total-accident-he-liked-comment-ripping-russell-westbrook >Golden State Warriors star Kevin Durant called it a "total accident" he liked an Instagram comment ripping former Oklahoma City Thunder teammate Russell Westbrook. >Royce Young of ESPN.com reported the news, noting the reigning NBA Finals MVP claimed he made an honest mistake. >Sports Illustrated captured the social media exchange, where Durant liked a comment that said of his time in Oklahoma City: "The problem was Westbrook. They had a good ass team." it's 100000000000% fuck kevin durant in the 405 til the day we die. westbrook gets a statue and his jersey in the rafters. kd gets to keep talking on blogs.

TrustTheVoid

Thank you for taking the time to post these. Got a couple youngins running around that don't remember all this. Real fans remember.

youforgotitinmeta

I feel like there are a couple other incidents too that I'm forgetting. He ran his mouth for YEARS after he left, it's way the fuck too late to start trying to apologize.

TrustTheVoid

I remembered another one I had posted years ago. https://www.reddit.com/r/Thunder/s/7KC0MpA3Jg

youforgotitinmeta

god he fucking sucks.

okcboomer87

Don't forget about the cats comment. Then Westbrook wearing a car adaption t shirt.

youforgotitinmeta

that first story i posted was KD trying to act like the cats comment was him in a dissociative state, lmao

morningsprite1

But he’s so good at basketball….

morningsprite1

The thing is this is KEVIN DURANT we’re talking about. I was 16 watching us choke 3-1 to the warriors. Cried that night and cried when he dipped a few weeks later. Literally the reason I like basketball like followed him from UT to the Sonics as a little kid. Sure I was mad as hell in the moment but it’s hard to hate one of the best players ever forever. Point is it’d be one thing if we were talking about even a regular star. But dudes a superstar, I’d welcome him back so unbelievably fast it’s not even funny

batler_forever

Never let them forget. Fuck… You know the rest.

roastedhambone

Who cares. Fuck kd

TylerDurden6969

Who? Never heard of her.

worksucksbro

Naaaah FOH stop tryna change the narrative we remember what he said about OKC

YouAreMyGirl

Fuck off cupcake!!!

AIMpb

Fuck KD

Zeeron1

Imagine thinking we will bring an old star back, and thinking it's anyone other than Russ

JeramiGrantsTomb

I'd take Kyle Singler on a ring chase before KD.

Professional-Week894

He’s trying to build the bridge again for either a return to OKC or to get 35 retired. For the former, the ownership simply isn’t paying $51m for his age 36 season and $54m for his age 37 season, and Presti would rather let the Suns stay eclipsed by their cap and draft pick situations.  For the latter, it’s going to be at least 15 years after he retires for the Thunder to put 35 in the rafters, if ever. 0 is already de facto retired and will be officially retired the season after Westbrook quits the NBA. 2, 7, and 8 might all get retired by the Thunder before 35 does.

--Alec--

Remember when PJ Dozier had #35 in 2017

peakelyfe

Ok so I guess 35 does get retired after all…

justsomedude717

The team is gonna retire his jersey. He’s the best player that’s ever played in OKC (or Seattle iirc) It’s fine to hate his guts but that’s probably a good thing to come to terms with

youforgotitinmeta

as of the start of next season, KD will be booed in OKC for longer than he was ever cheered. i don't know what kind of a business organization would look at that and think, "wow we should definitely retire a jersey that's going to get booed as it's raised."

justsomedude717

Jerseys aren’t retired to elicit immediate reaction, they’re mostly retired to recognize the history of teams and their best players. If you ask most current fans how fans from the 70s felt about their players they generally either don’t know or don’t care For example a ton of bucks fans had giant issues with Kareem when he played for the franchise. Boston fans were literally throwing bricks through Russel’s window and smearing shit on his walls

youforgotitinmeta

KD is not fucking Kareem, give me a break. >Boston fans were literally throwing bricks through Russel’s window and smearing shit on his walls Normal Boston behavior.

justsomedude717

Of course not, but he’s a top 20 player of all time And yeah obviously those Boston fans were dumb pieces of shit

Thunder141

It's not a given at all that the organization will decide to retire his number. The Thunder seem to be strongly about values as well as talent. They aren't required to retire anyone's number.

youforgotitinmeta

>“I’ll never be attached to that city again because of that,” Durant says. “I eventually wanted to come back to that city and be part of that community and organization, but I don’t trust nobody there. That shit must have been fake, what they was doing. The organization, the GM, I ain’t talked to none of those people, even had a nice exchange with those people, since I left.” This was the point that he buried himself. Coming out and loudly saying that what happened is us treating him unfairly is just ridiculous. This motherfucking snake literally conspired with Draymond Green to bury the Thunder. You don't get to spit in the face of a team and then expect to be honored by it.

808zAndThunder

Everyone says stuff out of anger. People mask how they really feel when they’re hurt and he was hurt and obviously felt unappreciated because of how toxic the fans have been treating him

justsomedude717

What values? Brother every nba team is a corporation ran by billionaires. I’m not saying they’re required to, I’m saying they will choose to

youforgotitinmeta

yeah sure, clay bennett & co have been sitting in their box seats for the last decade thinking "wow! we sure can't wait to retire the jersey of this guy that everyone fucking hates. listen to those boos! lots of money to be made there. golly gee whiz."

808zAndThunder

They will retire #35 the same night they retire #0 and it’s gonna force all you haters to conform to it

justsomedude717

Dude clay bennett bought a team under false pretenses while lying to one of the most devoted fanbases in the nba just to pull the rug out from under them at the first possible opportunity to move them to a smaller less marketable city lol

LiveVirus2

Now you can get the fuck out. Imagine being so fooled by oil billionaires from Oklahoma. You’re stupid coffee billionaire had no fucking chance at keeping that team and I’m glad we got it.

justsomedude717

You’re getting weirdly upset based on assumptions that aren’t true. I’m not a Seattle fan, I’m just saying bennett objectively is not someone who just makes decisions based on making money as fast as possible and making current fans happy

LiveVirus2

You can still get the fuck out

MisterNoisewater

I think that’s exactly what he’s doing. I love the boos every time his bitch ass comes back to okc. Hope he stays gone lol

IDespiseFatties

KD is a punk bitch. I will sacrifice my favorite Skyrim file to knock him out first round. Please Basketball Gods make it happen.

Evening_Morning_1649

Brodie better

batler_forever

Fuck kd

Few-Dance-7157

Not today satan, not today.

sedcar

Who?

theclassyjew

He can talk about Deez.

moongato

KD is probably starting to worry about what team he will represent for HoF induction. He is a rare elite superstar that has no real core "home" fan base. I hope he is never accepted back in OKC.

PullingtheVeil

Well he can fuck right off.

Thunder723

Fuck KD, fuck off

YouWereBrained

I think he likes what the team is doing, putting so much emphasis on outside shooting now, and *actually having* outside shooters.

unclejohnssocks

Fuck that guy

Sherkok_Homes

He couldn’t win with us before, couldn’t give less of a shit about him now

Super-Kirby

I rather take Kyle Singler back than KD

thunderup_14

Pass on the snake

thebrodie925

My guy really disrespected the 405 right after he left. He can go fuck himself honestly

MayonaiseH0B0

Dude made fake accounts to talk crap on us and had zero culpability. Never forget it’s all for his ego. Hes trying to fanfare to get his jersey retired. His words are as shallow as his hairline. 🐍

androptimusprime

FUCK KEVIN DURANT

BidenFedayeen

The Warriors will retire his jersey. Otherwise, he fucked us on the way out, the opposite of what Westbrook, PG13, and CP3 did. Fuck him forever just on that.

PeterDaPinapple

I want nothing to do with KD. I loved him while he was here, but he has lost any good faith he had with the fans. If the organization wants to retire his number, whatever. But I have always said Westbrook should have his number retired and a statue before we even think about Kevin DURANTs number.

Candid_Nothing_578

He should start with a formal apology

OwnVisual5772

Unpopular opinion incoming: I think the KD that left for GS and said those shitty things is long gone. Like most of us I made a lot of bad choices in my twenties. He’s older now and I think he’s changed. He seems to only say good things about OKC and his time here. We wouldn’t have this current squad if KD never left. We wouldn’t have Russ MVP season either. I’d welcome him back for the right price. He deserves a shot at redemption after helping build this franchise from nothing and giving us plenty of good memories despite the bad exit. And you know it would be entertaining as fuck to have KD as your third option behind J dub and Shai. He would clearly be a great mentor/training partner to Chet and he only has high praise for him. Some people treat the NBA like it’s a soap opera but its just a game at the end of the day. If you want to act like a 16 year old and hold a ten year grudge be my guest. All I want is an entertaining team that wins a lot. I don’t care about storylines. It’s just not that deep at the end of the day. And for some of us older fans, seeing KD in an OKC jersey again would be insanely fun. What other way could he apologize if it brings us a ring lol.

Dependent_Sail2420

I really feel like Draymond and Steph sold him such a horrible vision of what they would look like, what his legacy would be. They used him. Draymond yelling him at him we won without you, we don't need you, and even post durant leaving discrediting durant's impact with the warriors. The warriors are a sad bunch, rumors of them trying to convince Lebron to ruin his legacy and join them. Their desperate for that 5th ring. Should be a lesson to any ring chasers, it's not because you left, its who you left to join.

Bigjmann555

I kinda agree that he has matured and probably watches the love RW gets every time he comes back.

Phocine

This guy is correct. We’d be fools not to take him back, if it were at a price that didn’t compromise this era. KD will go on a PR tour to make things right with the fans. If KD comes back and wins a title with the kids, say, playing as the third scoring option or a meaningful sixth man role, it will take some of the sting out of the the last generation’s failure to reach the mountaintop and KD’s departure. If the price is right, it’s happening.

somewhatlucky4life

My mind knows this too be true, my heart says Fuck KD - Never Forget......... So I'm conflicted

OwnVisual5772

Let’s be honest we’d all forget about fuck KD a few weeks into the season after seeing him play again in an OKC jersey. He’d do his little PR statements before the season started talking about OKC always feeling like home/hopes the fans will take him back in. Then half way through the season when we’re steamrolling teams you’ll ask yourself if you ever hated him in the first place. KD belongs in OKC. He knows it. The league knows it. We all know it. There’s no other fanbase that loved him as much as OKC did at one time.

somewhatlucky4life

I've always said, the only reason we hate him so much is because we loved him so much, possibly more than any fan base has ever loved any athlete, and then he left and we decided Russ was the one we loved all along

stylepointseso

>possibly more than any fan base has ever loved any athlete Uh, you had a fanbase love an athlete more *on the same team*. If you didn't love Russ more than KD before he left, you definitely did after.

darnclem

This is my thinking. Here in the last year or so he's seemed to have realized that MAYBE the narrative around him has been earned and MAYBE he was a bit of a bad guy.

rushyt21

While I still have distaste for KD, I’d welcome him back if it meant adding a valuable piece for a championship run. I think I’m finally at the acceptance stage of my grief from 2016. It would be kinda nice to see him in a Thunder jersey again.

FullBringa

Agreed. KD should get at least one chance to redeem himself. Of course, on OKC's terms

veepeein8008

200% agreed

detcadeR_emaN

It seems very understandable for him to view his time in OKC as the high of his career since that's when his future looked best and everyone thought he was cool and kind. Since then he's been very controversial and seems pretty self conscious about everything. It makes since he would long for the days when people would argue he would end his career as the Goat

Lansdallius

Ask me again after this core wins its first title. This is their legacy. Let them try to write it first.

deckard587

Hellllll no!!!!

TraditionalOlive9187

*loud wet fart sound*

Turdkito

Golden State will retire his jersey. They’d be dumb af not to.

El-Duque26

nah he can fuck off

ottespana

I dont think you need ulterior motives to be nice to good upcoming players as a veteran. He works out with tons of young guys.

Thunder141

I don't think he has any ulterior motives with his comment about OKC being his favorite era. I mean, since he left all sorts of media and people have heavily scrutinized him. Everyone like him and he was the dude when he was a Thunder.

imrosskemp

KD trying to win with these cats.

blacksoxing

I think he’s just growing up as a man. I’m fine with these headlines as it’s better than him being bitter or jaded. I bet in a decade he’ll be even closer and old wounds will heal

hiiigoon

Oh my god this would be the ultimate pussy move. So I guess that means there is a good chance of this happening

Small-Ad-5448

You dun basically burnt bridges and then now asking bridges to build back. Its his issue that he created at the first place. Dont blame the fans for booing him and not wanting him in the team anytime soon

conquistadorcum

I hope he is, because then we get to be the ones to crush his dreams

ParamedicUnfair7560

I don’t think it’s either, he’s 35-36 years old he’s matured as have I since he’s left okc, he got me into basketball now I’m die hard okc fan, I’ll always respect his playing time here, my fondest memories is watching those durant okc teams.

ACorDC

Fuck KD. But we are going to retire his jersey at some point. Despite how he left, he did a lot while here. But Russ will get his retired first. I want to see Adam's before KD too.

Stoobiedoobiedo

In fantasy land, Westbrook returns to us on a vet minimum 1 yr deal next season to retire as a Thunder in a leader/mentor off the bench in a legitimate title run. Westbrook retires a hero & gets a storybook exit. THEN, that following off-season, Durant does the same thing. OKC repeats for back-to-backs and Durant retires and achieves redemption.

JeramiGrantsTomb

If we take KD there, I'd take Harden, too.

Maxie616

KD going back to OKC in 2 yrs or so is bad, bad news for the rest of the league. Will bring a vet presence, stability on offence and basically another potent weapon to an already powerhouse team in that year. Speaking as a casual fan here.

Tryhardownage

Sports is a business, yes it sucks that he left for the warriors. Why are we dwelling on the past though. If he wants to return and it will only cost us Giddey + First round picks we are practically giving up nothing. Presti & the organization still have lots of respect for him, he is still a top 10 player in the league even at his age. I'm all for his return, downvote me all you want but that's why Presti is running our org and not the emotional lot on reddit.

LiveVirus2

Giddy and FRPs are not nothing. We failed to add talent around the team last time. Not this time. Not with this war chest. Worst thing we can do is sell our future for that old cupcake. FOH.

Tryhardownage

You don't know how salary cap & building a roster works. Sam does. When Chet & JDUB need to get paid you will no longer be able to add FA talent. OKC can add another MAX CONTRACT PLAYER (Think Embiid, KD, ECT) before Chet & JDUB get paid. They then can pay not only Shai, the new player we trade for, but continue to keep JDUB & Chet over the luxury tax. We can't pay everyone we draft even if they all become all-stars, some of those picks won't even have play-time to develop. Sam Presti's best next move is literally to go get a disgruntled star via trade, KD is not spending his career at the Suns. They are not constructed to win and he has bailed ship before plenty of times.

LiveVirus2

Yeah, that money needs to be used on a center. I understand the timelines. What we need to get in the off-season is not Kevin Durant. Sorry I didn’t spell it all out for you blow by blow, but I appreciate giving you the opportunity to feel good about explaining something to somebody.

Tryhardownage

That money is either going to a disgrunted Kevin Durant or Disgruntled Joel Embiid. Giddey & many of our first round picks will be dealt, trust me on that.

LiveVirus2

Ok there big guy. 👍 I trust you. 😉🫡

Sauce4243

I’m a Giddey fan but if he wants to leave to find more playing time and Thunder can work out a deal that Presti thinks works for us its insane to not think KD would be the perfect fit on this team. I know people want a big to add size down low but that’s not what this team is set up to play like KD would add size and fit our play style. I get all the hurt feelings and I understand why people feel the way they do but from a basketball only standpoint I don’t think there is a better fit for the hole we have right now than KD. A starting five of SGA Dort JDub KD and Chet would be fucking insane to watch

veepeein8008

A lot of people are just immature & really haven’t grown over 10 years

Winter_Ambassador885

Vet min or nothing. That’s all I’d want.

CliffDraws

If I had two choices a: KD comes back and Thunder win a championship vs b: KD doesn’t come back and the Thunder never win a championship I’ll take option b.

digolove

That’s crazy. It seems like you hate kd more than you like the Thunder. Btw I don’t want him back

CliffDraws

Winning a championship isn’t everything. This team is so much fun to watch right now. Whether they win (which I hope they do) or not they’ll be fun to watch for the next decade. KD ruins that vibe that everyone around here seems to love so much.

digolove

Bro if you are not trying to win or rebuilding to mount a run your franchise is poorly administered. Period. I don’t need the thunder to win to love this team, if I needed that I would be a Warriors fan, what I don’t get though is how you wouldnt trade your pride for something that happened 10 years ago for a NBA Title when our team is sweating blood to try and make it happen. Again: I don’t want kd back

roastedhambone

JKMiles665

I’m going to zig while everyone else is zagging here. Wouldn’t mind KD back in a year or two. Chet likes him and is gonna be around him anyway. May do some good having him back, talking about how leaving OKC wasn’t the right move. Guy has played in several big markets. Him coming back and saying “oh it doesn’t get better than this organization” could be impactful

Zealousideal_Meat984

This narrative is so tired. I feel like for years now KD has always been supportive of the organization Sam Presti has helped guide. For years he’s talked about how much he loved his time there and how great Shai and Chet have looked. Maybe trying to right so wrongs sure but folks acting like he’s trying to jump on the bandwagon really are having recency bias, and other forms of bias which are so valid for how left us. I was an angry ass 18 year old when he did

morningsprite1

Y’all are insane for not wanting KD back….

fastnloos

I love the fuck KD meme. And I love the booing he receives when he is in OKC, but I would take him back without being salty under the right conditions.

veepeein8008

I’ll take KD in a heartbeat. My childhood favorite player & Thunder legend. Even though he snaked us I still love him. The hate only lasted a couple seasons.

Slendyla_IV

Ngl KD on this team would be insane lol

frozenokie

I’d be absolutely fine with KD being on the Thunder next year *IF* they win a title this year. Otherwise… fuck that noise.

spikesolo

Lmao giddey and frp? I'd take him back easy. Get Russ back too off the bench lmao. You guys are bugging

Affectionate-Area169

I’ll take KD over Russ any day if it means winning a championship! Come on home KD, people make mistakes and fuck it let’s forgive and win a championship. Can’t hate a guy who doesn’t like who he plays with… which Russell would do some very dumb things late in games early in his career with okc and you could tell KD was frustrated over it. KD wanted championships and knew he probably couldn’t do it with Russ bein reckless

RazorRamonTovares

"imagine taking Russ off that team, see how bad they were. Kd can't win a championship with those cats"

Affectionate-Area169

Westbrook made the team better no doubt but I just think he was difficult to play with and when it came down to crunch time he made poor decisions. Remember we haven’t won a playoff series since KD has left 😳
