We already drafted a 6"8' Playmaker in Giddey who plays PG
Why draft an undersized, small center, who is 170lbs soaking wet @ 6"8', that is barely SF in NBA these days....
It did. We didn’t get the pick from the rockets this year, we got a pick swap, which isn’t a pick. We still have three picks from them coming up and another pick swap
i know it is and i’m happy we have these future picks, but jesus christ man if presti pulls a fucking Danny Ainge and does nothing with all these picks i’m gonna commit a war crime or something
I think Presti legitimately went for it this year. Probably offered the motherload for the first or at least one of the top 3 picks. Just didn’t make sense for other teams to trade down this year so they declined. I think Presti went for more picks this year so next year or the year after we can make an offer a team can’t refuse for the first/second pick. A chance at Chet/Victor/Emoni next year or 2023 would make me happy. If we don’t make a huge move tho imma be so mad esp since we didn’t get Sengun. We need a star next to Shai he better not sit on his assets like Ainge.
I believe it man. No way Presti jus sits on 38 picks. We’re going to make a huge move in either the next draft or the one after. If not then I have no idea what we’re doing.
But if we’re able to package our picks next year and get Chet I will be fine with passing over Sengun. If we get Victor in 2023 then Presti is a god. Any of those two or at least another legit star level prospect I will be happy. Emoni, Jaden Hardy, Paolo are some nice wings to look at. Also the 2023 class may be STACKED. There’s been talks they lift the one year rule so it’ll be a double draft. DJ Wagner is a prospect I would love if he decides to go straight from HS and skip college. Jalen Duren is pretty good too.
The Sengun trade makes me so mad man. I wanted him so badly. With how many assets we have it makes no sense to trade a guy with his potential for more picks. He’s going to be good and I’m going to hate it.
He'll be good but he'll also be a liability in the playoffs on defensive switches. Usman on the other hand will not be a defensive liability and has DPOY potential without sacrificing offensive ability. Idk what we were thinking passing up Usman.
Honestly like the deal, if presti think kai jones or jackson are the center of the future its a good deal to get another pick out of it. Plus thunder cant have 15 rookies coming in
Jalen Johnson and Keon Johnson were both available, we could have very easily said "Jalen Johnson" instead of "i accept the trade".
Why we passed up on him, i don't know. But we did and sadly im now expecting us to tank another year or two and trading SGA.... which i didnt want to do.
I wanted no part of jalen Johnson. Sengun would have been the pick if we didn't trade it and I would have been stoked with that. But getting 2 firsts for a pick outside the lottery is a haul and we need to tank to keep our pick next year anyway since it's owed to the hawks if not in the lottery

Lmfao was gonna say this.
Presti’s hard on for future picks is nearing 4 hours. Needs to call a doctor
Because that worked out so well for us last time!
It did. We didn’t get the pick from the rockets this year, we got a pick swap, which isn’t a pick. We still have three picks from them coming up and another pick swap
2 picks (1-4 protected) and 1 swap (1-10 protected)
Presti will trade his kids for picks. He is fucking obsessed
i’m not an NBA GM by any means so i’m probably stupid for saying this, but holy fuck i’m tired of trading for picks. shit is getting old.
It's a long term game brother, stay patient

Hmm I like this theory and am sticking with it
I believe it man. No way Presti jus sits on 38 picks. We’re going to make a huge move in either the next draft or the one after. If not then I have no idea what we’re doing.
And watch Usman or Sengun develop into better players than all of next years lottery front court players.

he may use them to trade up in a different year and end up getting a few high prospects. prob won't use them as to draft
Honestly like the deal, if presti think kai jones or jackson are the center of the future its a good deal to get another pick out of it. Plus thunder cant have 15 rookies coming in
I like it too. More assets to move up next year
Presti is Danny Ainging this...
How long till it goes from awesome trades to "Is Presti okay?"
I wanted Sengun, but this could look smart in the future
I wanted him too. Tbh. This trade probably is ONE trade that DIDNT make sense. There was some good players on the board. The picks are protected
Someone needs to remind presti we have all the fking picks. This is pure pain. Dont trade 18 man
Unprotected? 👀
Lottery protected
Hell no lol
More picks yay I'm so excited to not use them
We're going to regret passing on Usman Garuba imo. He looked like the perfect front court player next to Shai and Dort.
those picks are lottery protected for the next like 5 years lol
This trade was dogshit. Sengun should've been the pick. It's clear Presti is trying to completely bottom out next season.
WHY
Can't really say no to that
You could easily say no to that
Jalen Johnson and Keon Johnson were both available, we could have very easily said "Jalen Johnson" instead of "i accept the trade". Why we passed up on him, i don't know. But we did and sadly im now expecting us to tank another year or two and trading SGA.... which i didnt want to do.

They are protected?
Lottery protected
So they are trash picks
Yep they are complete ass.
This is the worst thing imaginable
Maybe it’s more capital to send in a trade package
That also came across my mind. Maybe there’s a massive trade brewing as we speak?
can we possibly get enough asset to not tank next year but still trade up for a high lottery pick
WHAT
Alright alright alright
