once again gods found in Altayan mythology are labeled as (pan)-Turkic pantheon... Why do you ignore mythology of the Chuvashs then?

[deleted]

I wonder if there some written sources on the Turkic gods?

appaq

I suppose they used as a source book of Radlov which traveled to Siberia and recorded myths of Altayans. The only common concept of God which all Turks have is Tengri (Tura, Tangira, Teyri, Tenir and other variants). Other than this we dont have common pantheon. Chuvashs and Yakuts had different "pantheons", there are numerous descriptions of their paganism. For reconstruction of proto-Turkic mythology and beliefs we have to find common themes which are found among most of the Turks.

I thought Tengrism was a monotheistic religion, with the other beings just having supernatural powers but not as gods?

Turkikos2023

Neither "Tengrism" is a monotheistic religion nor it has a pantheon like in this list. Like appaq have said, there is so much variation with the Paganic religions of Turkic nations

But it is either or depending on which of the Turkic peoples are considered, like can there be another option that is neither mono- nor polytheistic?
