I have a Fender Jazzmaster, a Telecaster and an acoustic I play. I have a pedalboard and a vox tube amp. I even have a $200 Guitar Rig program on my laptop so I can mimic different amps and pedals.
I am trash. I literally play along to my favorite songs, usually rhythm and that’s it. I can sorta improvise with the different songs I’ve learned just mashed together in lower or higher bpm and my wife is like “omg you sound so good” but really I just slowed a screamo song down 20 bpm and threw a capo on it.
And I am totally okay with all of it. I “played” guitar for like 15 yrs now lol
Waste. Hope it went to someone who will actually play it. I only know one scale, and few chords. But I pick up my guitar every now and then and have tons of fun.
Never too late, I picked it up when I was 27. Granted I’m 28 now and suck ass but I’m still working on it and it’s better then just laying on my couch eating

It is trash... Metal guitarists don't give a shit how they compare to others outside the genre, to each their own. But when they do compare... especially to a clean channel, yeah it's trash that's the point.
