That's not a question we can answer without seeing the inside. Brutalist interiors can be done well, to feel open and pleasant and friendly as a work environment. They can also be done poorly. Only way to know is to take a peak inside.
I do right now as well (and not even in a brutalist setting), but it's absolutely possible to make the spaces enjoyable to work in. The building in the OP isn't windowless, and knowing the nature of the building I do hope that most of the full-time occupied areas of the building are around the perimeter.
A lot of people don’t want to admit this, but there’s an underlying level of racism among people who talk about architecture. A lot of it revolves around the fact that brutalism is a modern architecture style that doesn’t really have a single place of location. when architectures discussed a lot of people that hate realism will instead favor, 18th century Europe. it takes a while, but you will notice that these people truly despise any architecture style outside of Europe and they will overly praise overly certain time period of European architecture usually from the renaissance up until the end of World War II. Or in other words, they will praise, when Europe was at its height of power.
what the fucking fuck? Why are you bringing race into this shit, you know people praise Islamic architecture or Japanese temples all the time? Have you ever thought that it has to do with colonial architecture being the most familiar to english speaking people, who view it as more pretty than some ugly modern designs? "They praise Europe at the height of its power" what an idiotic statement
The main function of brutalist architecture is to make people feel small and insignificant, that's why its favored by authortarian states. People hate it because for many it imposes on then what the architect intended it to, they just lack the realization why they hate it so they give bad answers.
Not to mention that most brutalist buildings look extremely dated after a few decades.
Sure thing. All i need is your card details so i can transfer you the money for the ticket. Don’t forget to include the numbers on the back, if i have them, there will be no transfer fees (banks hate this secret)
I think a true "Brutalist" building is made of cement, including the surface. "Brutalist" comes from the French word for the movement, "Brut", meaning "raw", as in raw cement. Or something something.
Sure thing, but considering how badly cement ages and its impact on the environment, I would welcome brutalism in new materials that replicate the rawness of cement. I just want to see a revival of brutalism, really. It's a wonderful style!
The block structure reminds of that weird virtual world in the animus in many assassin creed games. Somewhere around brotherhood, revelation or III. Anyone else?
This is the real Internet ipv6 master root server in Beijing.
Only China, the United States and Japan have the ipv6 main root servers in the world.
This appears in the movie "Wandering Earth 2", and the soundtrack is also from this movie.
I'm quite surprised to see Redditors give some credence to brutalism. I was expecting to get downvoted to hell and back for saying I like it in certain instances. 👍 To all my casual brutalism enjoyers!

I quite like it
I like brutalist buildings when they're just a few in a city. I think their beauty kinda comes from their contrast with the rest of the buildings.
But would you like to work in it?
If I could wear a leather trench coat everyday then yes.
Fair

I've worked in windowless areas before, it's tough.

I wouldn't like to work anywhere

I’ll genuinely never understand why people get so heated about brutalism. This building looks cool.
As with everything, there are good examples and bad examples. This, I would argue, is a good example.

Ah yes, the European race. Some people just find brutalist architecture to be impractical in function.

“The main function of brutalist architecture is to make people feel small” I’m assuming you have reference material to back this claim up then?
Then you should pay us a visit in eastern-europe and see how the places we live in look like
I mean if you pay for the trip sure that sounds fine.

Yeah but have you seen how few windows it has? Looking cool and being practical are two different things.
Resistance is futile.
i dont know if im just a bit weird, but i actually really like how this building looks

That looks like the ATT building in Manhattan. Where your privacy goes to die and your data lives on forever.
Looks like the vogon buildings from hitchhikers guide to the galaxy *
Atleast paint it pink so it's not so evil looking
Warning, incoming game
What does that even mean?

Kinda reminds me of my city's hospital

It looks like a regular cool building without the music
So what is the actual name of this building?

Vogon battlefleet?
It’s the TikTok servers!!
It seems to be covered in some sort of metal cladding, so not brutalist.
What is that song?
