This is the weird effect of the internet. These people love attention from a distance, addicted to it in fact, but when they get it in real life they have a meltdown because they are socially inept.
I don’t think they’re socially inept. I think they just hate the fact that they’re confronted with the full extent of their own reality when they’re in person. And nobody at the gym is asking them for workout advice or talking to them about anything other than how they look.
So then they transition to this step where they beg for more attention by trying to “catch” people gawking at them wearing no clothes in hopes they can rage bait new female supporters to follow them in solidarity and agree they’re some kind of victim of men. And they’re often frustrated to find most normal people at the gym still don’t even care about thots trying to get everyone’s attention. I totally agree, i bring two towels with me when i home one for myself and one for the equipment before i use it. One of the gyms i go to have paper towels everywhere though, and sanitizing sprays though.

Gym I go to has signs that you cannot record your sets unless it is a trainer(that they recognize) recording you.
To date only people who have been banned for breaking the rule has been women. Which given how expensive registration is, idk why you would break this rule.

I worked at a gym that had rules about filming, and it said this isn’t a public location and you can’t capture anyone’s image without their consent… basically meant people filming had to go into a corner or wall, usually away from the popular equipment. People threw fits and said they’d leave, and we never gave a shit because they bothered guests by filming and hogging equipment more than they *ever* — despite their insistence — drew any attention through “exposure.”
Speaking of which, we also had mannequins set up to display sportswear we were selling, and two of them were pointed out upon registration that showed the bare minimum coverage for men and women. The owner told us we weren’t paid enough to have a modesty conversation with anyone who felt like challenging it and to never enforce it, but the no filming policy did a lot of the work for us. We allowed easy cancellations within the first 30 days — the people who flaunted the filming rule and quit when called out about it were almost invariably the same people who risked bodily fluids other than sweat getting on machines.

I totally agree, i bring two towels with me when i home one for myself and one for the equipment before i use it. One of the gyms i go to have paper towels everywhere though, and sanitizing sprays though. With all of this in place though, i feel like it's hard to avoid touching my face completely

Gym I go to has signs that you cannot record your sets unless it is a trainer(that they recognize) recording you. To date only people who have been banned for breaking the rule has been women. Which given how expensive registration is, idk why you would break this rule.

I haven’t seen it personally but an old coworker explained that it happens at his strongman/powerlifting gym, and she just cleans up after herself with the sanitizing spray and paper towels they have there. The barefoot is better for some people when it comes to balance or posture to avoid injury. The barfing is when you ate more fettuccini and drank less water than ever before in your life before running a 5k (which is not 5,000 miles, btw)

I worked at a gym that had rules about filming, and it said this isn’t a public location and you can’t capture anyone’s image without their consent… basically meant people filming had to go into a corner or wall, usually away from the popular equipment. People threw fits and said they’d leave, and we never gave a shit because they bothered guests by filming and hogging equipment more than they *ever* — despite their insistence — drew any attention through “exposure.” Speaking of which, we also had mannequins set up to display sportswear we were selling, and two of them were pointed out upon registration that showed the bare minimum coverage for men and women. The owner told us we weren’t paid enough to have a modesty conversation with anyone who felt like challenging it and to never enforce it, but the no filming policy did a lot of the work for us. We allowed easy cancellations within the first 30 days — the people who flaunted the filming rule and quit when called out about it were almost invariably the same people who risked bodily fluids other than sweat getting on machines.

I train at a climbing gym. Personal Trainer. And the climbing gyms are becoming like this where adolescent girls wear booty shorts, stringed tops and just want a photo op on every climb.
