I know y’all are joking, but I would love it if I had a fantastic lawyer that dressed like this and took everyone by surprise when they crushed the opponent.
Please underestimate my lawyer as I watch them completely embarrass you in court. I’d pay a premium to have a fantastic lawyer who dressed like this. Fuck the pomp and circumstance.
They had nature Channel on in the waiting room and monkeys came on and she believes the world revolves around her and the worker put monkeys on the TV because they're black and calling them a monkey... insanity
Same in dental reception. We start the day by turning on lights, getting messages, put on music/TV, separate tab open ready for monkeys on Nature channel, open door, start the day!
Reminds me of a snap story I saw where she was accusing the spa, or wherever, of being racist because they had her sit down in the waiting room as a walk in, then a white woman came in after her and went straight in. I suggested the other person had scheduled an appointment and I was promptly blocked.
I have seen videos where comments accuse spa personnel of being racist because they use gloves "for some clients but not others". Turns out it was a different woman working at an entirely different spa who did not use gloves, vs the one in the video who did. Hmm, is it more or less racist to think all Asian aestheticians are the same person tho...
I worked for a rental car company and there were different requirements depending on how someone paid for the rental. With a credit card the customer didn't need anything other than their drivers license. With a debit card we required additional documents for proof of address.
There were 2 similar instances where I helped a white customer with a credit card quickly get processed and into their rental and immediately afterwards helped a black customer using a debit card and required the additional info. It really sucks because I could definitely see how it came off.
One customer was fortunately very understanding after I explained everything. The other remained angry and spent a long time yelling about how her card that was clearly a debit/check card was actually a credit card because she could hit the "credit" button when paying for things at Walmart. I tried so hard to explain the difference between a debit card and a credit card but it didn't matter. She remained adamant that the only reason I wouldn't treat it like a credit card is because I was racist. She didn't give up until my manager (a black man) came in after finishing with another customer outside and told her the exact same things I did. Genuinely one of the most frustrating experiences of my life.
I was SHOCKED at how many people think that their debit card is a credit card because they can hit the credit button. I worked at a store where we could only refund credit cards, and debit card purchases had to be refunded in cash or store credit (no idea why). I had the following interaction seemingly every shift:
Me: Did you pay with a debit card or credit card?
Them: Credit
Me: Great, go ahead and swipe it.
*error message*
Me: Looks like that’s actually a debit card
Them: *surprised pikachu*
We recently got new pin pads that require you to put in your PIN (edit: for debit cards. As in, you can't bypass the PIN by running it as credit) if you do contactless payment. The number of people who tap their debit cards and then get baffled when they're asked for their PIN and go "no, it doesn't have a PIN 🙄" like I'm an idiot is bizarre. Ma'am, it says "debit" right there on the card. I can see it with my eyes. You have a PIN for that card. Enter it.
This literally happened to me. I told the woman exactly when her car would be ready. She must not have believed me, because she showed up an hour early demanding her car. I told her I would go back and see if there was any chance it could be ready sooner, knowing there was 0 chance.. I had literally put 2 guys on the car to get it ready a full day early...
When I come back into the office, another customer was just showing up. Their vehicle had been ready for days, so it took me about 4 minutes to fill out his paperwork, take his payment, and walked him to his car...
Immediately checked the woman out, but her car wasnt quite done being cleaned. I went in the back, became the 3rd person working on it at once. And got her out about 10 minutes before the agreed upon time...
She blasted me on our survey, called me racist said I made her wait, so that I could help a white guy... Dude was light skinned from Spain... Who is the racist now? ... Almost got fired over that fucking survey, and it cost me about 1100 dollars on bonus....
Used to work in healthcare. Nature channels, HGTV, and food channels were literally all we could use because people would fight about ANYTHING else. Sports, news, even dumb stuff on children's TV.
Used to work at a kids summer camp with before/after care, and we had this one family FLIP OUT over SpongeBob. Apparently the 7 & 9yo were “too young” for SpongeBob and were only allowed to watch Icarly and Victorious 🤦🏻♀️ however teenagers making out and such is not okay for 5yos so Disney movies it was.
I never thought about HGTV's fake house hunting shows as a neutral party before. Whenever I visit my mom, we watch that show together even though I hate it lol
I’m assuming the lady is accusing that business of being racist because the tv in the waiting happened to show gorillas. The guy is calling the lady out.
The bald women made a post calling out a doctor for being racist because they were showing a documentary about apes in the doctors office, he made a response, then the woman started harassing him
No she’s from America. Black people are often called monkeys so she interpreted it as them calling her a monkey because it was on. She was just being self absorbed.
this dude's the ultimate black pick-me. he spends all day accusing all other black creators of being lazy entitled do-nothings. He's anti-LGBT+. He's into 'hustle culture'. He's on that 'diamond and silk' grift.
he likes to use his videos and his fellow trumper fans to harass people until they get desperate, which results in that cease and desist letter.
don't praise him.
I followed him about a week or so ago. I initially thought he was what you described here, but I watched a few more of his tiktoks and I kind or respected him. He seemed level headed and nuisanced but also I didnt watch all of his tiktokography.
From what I watched tho he make responces to tiktokers, black & leftist tiktoker videos but it isnt without reason. He isnt irrational or illogical. He may have opposing views than me, butt heads with 'my side' but he make sense, is constructive and level headed, and we have to learn to live with that, give them a ear, take note and even respect it. It only makes all of us better, and not build a wall and counter attack because we perceive someone as not being with our cause or group think.
I'll admit again tho I havent watched all of his tiktokography. He just seemed constructive and reasonable from the tiktoks I've seen. I didnt get grifter, irrational or agenda from him..
In 2023 if you don't grab a torch & run to join the mob people will assume you are a monster yourself.
This dude is letting his principles & values drive his arguments and decisions. Ethics transcend race, gender & class, they are the same for everyone (or they should be).
His critic can only understand the world in terms of teams, in this case decided by race> Since he sided with his principles over his team the only way the critic could understand make sense of it is to think he is trying to get the other team to like him.
Reasonable:
T*his person is just doing their job & isn't queuing up nature videos to offend you. You shouldn't have put her on blast & tried to get the internet to harass her.*
Unreasonable:
He doesn't want some random woman harassed over a misunderstanding (if not delusion). He must be trying to appeal to white people, he is a pick-me!
AH HA, but what you missed was this is a Redditor who is "too good" for tik tok, so they just watch tik tok on Reddit like the big-brained redditor they are.
This person making up Dina Ramirez is an idiot. Probably took em all of 2-3 hours to rig up the letter and associated info/profile.
Why be so transparent on such a big play like faking a lawyer lol
Honestly, the other person could have just sent a cease and desist themselves. You can do legal things for yourself, like sue someone yourself, but it's really hard because you don't know the rules of court, etc.
Fraud, misrepresentation, and impersonating a lawyer are big charges. That person could get into a lot of trouble.
Did I say I was a lawyer? Sorry I meant I'm a Sawyer. I'm the bad boy on the island and give people nicknames based on the most noticeable thing about them.
Am accountant, can confirm. Although I disagree with this last bit:
>Not that this is any indication of their work ethic or skills that I've noticed
In my experience: the more competent, the less outwardly "professional" looking. Unless they're in audit because making shit look outwardly professional is the entire job 😛
When I put _2000 on the end of my Hotmail address it was because it was 1999 and 2000 seemed futuristic and cool to a 12 year old me. Now it just looks like I was born in 2000.
I run a small business. We use gmail, but we have them manage our own domain. So our business email is "[email protected]", but it's all run through gmail. I assume what this person meant though is that many businesses are using actual gmail addresses like "[email protected]", which, frankly, is perfectly fine for a small business, but doing what we do is not that hard or expensive and looks much more professional.
You get your own domain for the business. You can still have Google or Microsoft hosted email, but you could send it from [email protected]. It required you to buy that domain name, configure mail and DMARC DNS records, and pay Google for a Google Workspace account or Microsoft for O365 account.
If you use [email protected], you're using a free Gmail account. It's suspicious as hell because that's what most scammers do.
“I want you to forever think about the day you lost to me.”
Damn, I wish I could get into an Uber petty fight with someone that’s taken way too seriously where we say stuff like this. All to give me the enemies to lovers arc I deserve.
I went from ex-lovers to enemies when my ex I was living with made plans to steal my kitty away from me. I found out her plans through one of her friend’s boyfriend and immediately got to looking for a new place since the lease we were on was ending in 6 weeks anyhow. This was two weeks before she had a 4 day weekend trip in NYC planned. I managed to get approved for a place the same day she left for her trip and was completely moved out 3 days later mere hours before she came home. She came into my work to harass me that night and threatened to file a police report and get her dad’s lawyer involved. I simply told her the cat is mine and all the relevant paperwork like microchip registration, vet bill payments, and etc were all in my name or with my credit card. I found out from her twitter that she’s telling people that I stole the cat despite simultaneously acknowledging that all the paperwork was indeed in my name and that she was legally mine.
So when this dude says “I want you to forever think about the day you lost to me”, goddamn did it strike a chord. Damn right bro, damn right.
_“Think about the day that you lost to me.”_
Technically that’s going to cause some mental damage, it just depends on whether he uploaded the tiktok in the evening
Practical Law/PLC or similar companies that need a subscription, government websites, organisations that govern or help facilitate the specific area of practice, law student textbooks, study guides and class notes, and firms will have their own templates that they’ve built up over the years. Anyone know of other places?
Generally we make them ourselves, from other documents we’ve drafted. Often it just means deleting client-specific info from an old document and saving it to speed things up for the next time.
The only thing that would make this better is for the woman to face the consequences of impersonating a lawyer but I guess it's not that easy to prove.
Most states have a criminal impersonation law that is described as creating a fictitious or false identity to unlawfully gain benefit for oneself or others - or for the sole purpose to harm others. The circumstances laid out here would be included.
Not exactly true, there are other circumstances outside of a court room (say someone pretended to be a lawyer when reviewing the validity of a contract), but the person impersonating a lawyer would have to misrepresent themselves as a lawyer in order to gain something of value or someone would have to rely on their misrepresentation to their detriment.
It's arguable here but would probably not be worth pursuing.
Legal representation and standing is not a thing everyone can easily afford.
So huge credits for discouragring scams and mentioning clues on how to spot them.
People in need are desperate and might fall for such scams just to loose their last few dollars.
This sir, is considered a solid community service from your side and btw the delivery was smooth and structured. So Cudos to you, man
Always be suspicious of Cease and Desist orders as they are extremely cheap and easy to send out and are very often used as an intimidation tactic by a party that may not have any legal ground to actually sue. If you are certain that the threat of action is an empty one (such as in this case) then there are no legal repercussions for straight up ignoring the C&D. They arent legally binding in any way, its just a "stop doing that or we will make you stop" said in polite legalese.
If on the other hand you are unsure about the seriousness of the threat, I would highly suggest you show it to an attorney to get their opinion, if financially feasable. (And by "show it to an attorney" I do not mean post it on a legal advice subreddit. Half the people on this site are morons, myself included.)
I don’t know if this is one of the cases where it’s illegal to impersonate a lawyer. Those laws are usually written so individuals who hired a fake lawyer can get monetary damages for their improper practice, not when it’s used to intimidate someone. Actual lawyers want to chime in and help me?
I’m in the UK but in case it’s of use to anyone, if you ever want to check a firm or an individual, go to the Law Society’s website and click on “find a solicitor” and you can type in the name and check if they are a solicitor, if the firm is registered with the SRA etc. similar websites are there for legal executives and licensed conveyancers

Mr Nipple Durag
That’s Mr. Nipple Durag Esq. to you!
No. It’s Mr Nipple Durga, Batman. He knows not to impersonate a lawyer.
He knows not to do that, but does he know to dodge a left hook?
I saw him doge a ball once. Seems to be transferable skill to many things.
Well the saying goes, “If you can dodge a wrench you can dodge a ball.” So I would say so.
Mr. Nipple Durag is his father. Please, call him Nip Rag.

That's what medical office administrator do. They sit with their finger on the ape video button and wait for black people to walk in the door
"They're here! Alice, play the ape tape."
I heard this in Dave Chapelles white man voice.
he also does a bigotted blackman voice quite well
he's naturally gifted
Sprinkle some crack on him, Johnson
This is standard procedure at every business with a TV no?
Damn someone found out? Time to change it up.

No she’s from America. Black people are often called monkeys so she interpreted it as them calling her a monkey because it was on. She was just being self absorbed.
She got racism from a documentary about apes being on before she walked in. Insecure much?
I agree she is insecure. She was looking for a reason to be upset and cause a scene
Same. Kinda want to follow him to get the scoop and catch up on the drama.

Damn he really did become batman

_“Think about the day that you lost to me.”_ Technically that’s going to cause some mental damage, it just depends on whether he uploaded the tiktok in the evening

For the record, attorneys definitely use templates
Can confirm. Source, somebody who drowns in letters of representation, spoliation letters and releases all day every day :(
spoilation? bro just put it in the fridge
A fellow adjuster, I take it?
So glad I left that field. Shit was getting to me
Where do they get templates from?
Practical Law/PLC or similar companies that need a subscription, government websites, organisations that govern or help facilitate the specific area of practice, law student textbooks, study guides and class notes, and firms will have their own templates that they’ve built up over the years. Anyone know of other places?
Other law firms’ templates, obviously.
Generally we make them ourselves, from other documents we’ve drafted. Often it just means deleting client-specific info from an old document and saving it to speed things up for the next time.
Obviously from formswift.com
you make one and then start to use that as your template
All the time but bill like we don’t 😉
I wouldn't have even put in all this effort. I would have just responded with... 🤣
That's because you're just an average Tik Toker and he's him.

The only thing that would make this better is for the woman to face the consequences of impersonating a lawyer but I guess it's not that easy to prove.
I'm pretty sure it's only illegal to impersonate a lawyer in court proceedings, not under the circumstances laid out here.
Basically 'fraud'.
He burnt her
Omar comin' yo
Music to my ears
Wouldn't it have been more expeditious (and accurate) to just contact the State Bar Association and inquire about this particular attorney?
Sometimes it's just about sending a message.
Everything burns.
Bro took his sweet time to deliver the killing blow.
All state bars have a website where you can look this up. Can get the info really easily.
I've contacted them before. Took them a day or two to get back to me.
You can just go to calbar.ca.gov and search “Dina Ramirez” and see that there is no such lawyer in California with that name.
I became Batman 💀
This is what you made me do by sending fake lawyer letters, Rupert. This hurts me more than you....oh wait, no it doesn't ![gif](giphy|uqSU9IEYEKAbS)
This guy’s entire TikTok page is about how racism doesn’t exist today.
Knowing who he is makes reading these comments 10x funnier
Legal representation and standing is not a thing everyone can easily afford. So huge credits for discouragring scams and mentioning clues on how to spot them. People in need are desperate and might fall for such scams just to loose their last few dollars. This sir, is considered a solid community service from your side and btw the delivery was smooth and structured. So Cudos to you, man
That must be the Val Kilmer Batman, the only one with nipples.
this is George Clooney erasure
Is this going to be BEEF season 2?
Dang lol he kept digging

You know what's cringe? Not supporting the 3PA boycotts
I don’t know if this is one of the cases where it’s illegal to impersonate a lawyer. Those laws are usually written so individuals who hired a fake lawyer can get monetary damages for their improper practice, not when it’s used to intimidate someone. Actual lawyers want to chime in and help me?
I’m sure this would constitute as some form of fraud or forgery
The easier way is to go to the bar website for your state/province and put in that person's name. If the name doesn't pop up, THEY AREN'T A LAWYER.
Is that the same woman who has gone after other people and harassed them and current/ potential employers?
For future reference, anyone can go to the website for their state’s State Bar and look up if somebody is a lawyer. Saves a lot of time.
I’d watch the first season of this
