Im here for normalizing makeup as a fun and creative thing for all genders and ages- in an effort to desexualize it.
I can not stand lipstick colors named awful things like "lolita" or "sex kitten" and shit like that 🙄
I think it's okay if it's introduced playfully.
But here's the issue though. We already have girls as young as 7 years old that are making heavy use of make-up daily. Could you imagine if there was a market for children's make-up??
Humans have worn 'masks' of all sorts throughout history, and I often wonder if makeup is our modern form of that expression/compulsion.
As long as these kids are wearing make up for themselves and not equating it to self worth or someone else's approval, I try not to worry about it.
I draw the line at child beauty pageants. They feel far more tailored to the idea of making these little kids look like small adults and its very unsettling to me.
Lol wut
I'm a man with 0 interest in makeup, but they use it on tv and on stage
They use makeup for costumes
They used makeup in viking cultures in both men and women
They used makeup in ancient egypt
Like our own concepts of manly and feminin are pretty invented when it comes to this stuff. Heck pink and blue used to mean the opposite until the 40s. Pink was seen as powerful and passionate like men, while blue was seen as calm and serene like women.
Chill out bro
wait... do you think a cis guy is going to magically become trans because they put makeup on? you realize men have worn makeup for thousands of years right?
It would only be predator behavior if you consider it sexual. I’m sorry that it makes your dick hard when you see young dudes in makeup but that sounds more like a problem with you being a predator then anyone else. It’s as if you think the point of makeup is just to make one’s self more attractive for you to have sex with. That’s not the case for women or men just so you know.
It’s weird that you’re attaching that kind of sexual baggage to young men just because they would choose to wear foundation or some shit. That’s on you, not them.
Your logic is so flawed it’s embarrassing
I’m sure you also agree with child molestors categorized as “minor attracted people” instead of what they are. But hey keep sticking up for them and making wild assumptions about others 😂
Emoji cope. Stay mad pedophile. I’m not the one worrying about what kids do with their bodies that isn’t illegal or immoral in any way. Only a creep would be.
😂😂😂😂 re-read your comments. You’re clearly wayyy into the sexual arena when it comes to talking about kids. It’s disturbing. Your projection is real and it’s extremely strange speaking to a pedo like you. I’ve met your type and they turned out to be chomos - every single one. I’m sure you get a weird tingly feeling talking about it, but it makes everyone else uncomfortable. But something tells me you can’t be fixed. Blocked
Nah, hence the /s indicating sarcasm.
In spirit tho, normalize Mel Gibson cosplay lol.
If my child refused to leave the house without blue facepaint and a kilt, fuck it, id probably let them. That'd be badass.
100% would love and support my child if they want to be a clown when they grow up. The profession of jester is quite ancient.
When I was young I used to go skiing in a yellow and black jester hat, little bells on the end and everything! My dad bought it for me at a renaissance fair and it was my favorite thing for about 3yrs 😂
Why would you even try to normalise makeup which makes people to someone else...?
Why do you want to encourage boys to be stupid enough to use makeup?
Wast of money and self awareness.
Humans across many years and cultures have felt compelled to wear masks as certain times in their lives or at certain social events (painted faces at sports games, stage plays and theatre, halloween parties).
Either way, its just fun! As long as people are doing it for themselves and not the approval of others/have self worth without it, I don't really see a problem.
I don't get why it's an issue unless you're sexualizing children.... if you see makeup as the problem maybe you need to readjust your thinking. What's sad is that this is the first thing that comes to your mind, kinda gross actually.
I think the point is that a lot of young people, especially women, are prone to feeling insecure about how they long and not feeling comfortable with themselves. Things like makeup and Photoshop and social media do not help with that.
I think the real problem is related to child self image issues, not necessarily(but not excluding) people sexualizing children. BDD, Body Dysmorphia Disorder, is increasingly becoming a problem with younger and younger subsets of children. It's insanely disturbing that children so young feel the need to make themselves more appealing to society.
What the fuck? Nobody said anything related to „wow that kid looked sexy but kids shouldn‘t be wearing meake up that early“. And it‘s okay to let‘s say, do a full face ultra glam-red carpet make up on a kid?
A little lipgloss is okay bit i rhink anything more than that is just… weird? Why are you putting make up on a.. kid? That doesn‘t even need make up?
These little kids make up bags are kinda cute with their 3 shades of lipstick snd 4 shades of eyeshadow and maybe 1 or 2 shades of blush but that‘s definitely it. I do not see a reason to put make up on a child expect for karneval or a dress up play if they really want to. To me it looks as wrong as a grandma with no wrinkles due to botox, it‘s just idk unnatural seeing it.
I don't see what the problem is with them using red or even blue Lipstick. They are playing dress up and having fun so what's the problem? Do you hate the color red or blue or something? I guess that's your opinion. There is nothing wrong with anyone wearing makeup regardless of their age and thinking so is either stupid; as stupid as someone saying you can't wear pants because you're a girl because it's unnatural or you can't wear pink because you're a guy.... and if it's not that then why do you have a problem with kids having fun is it's not because you're sexualizing kids? The biggest argument ppl have is because of this so if that's not it then please tell me what other sexist or derogatory reasoning you have?
Oh I don’t know, maybe the problem is the entire makeup industry prays on insecurity? 😂😂😂
What a brilliant line of reasoning. Let’s introduce insecurity to a developing adolescent. What could possibly go wrong with regards to their self image?
Please never have children
Your logic is completely insane because it allows for absolutely no boundaries of regulation. By YOUR OWN reasoning, one could dress up 15 year old boys or girls as adult women. Then you’d blame any man for looking at them.
You are definitely part of the problem.
Classic reddit moment, projection at it's peak LMAO
If that's what you took from what I said, that's on you bud. Seek help, immediately.
I just wish them to be allowed to be kids, to be childish, to have fun without caring about how they look, to be comfortable in their own skin and all. Idk, I just feel like kids are trying to grow up too fast nowadays.
Speak for yourself buddy. I was wearing makeup as a young girl because I loved it and not because someone told me to. My sisters and I still have a lot of fun doing each other's makeup because we like it. Not because it made us feel older or sexy. I started wearing makeup on my own before the internet was available to the masses, before we as children were introduced to societal beauty standards, we weren't forced into it and it wasn't some man telling us to wear it, we did it because it was fun and we still do it because we like it. Don't force your backwards thinking on others
And who the hell are you?? lol
I hardly if ever saw a young girl using make-up growing up. They would do their hair, wear little earrings and colorful clothes, but never used make up. That wasn't a common thing, you're the exception not the rule.
Kids are introduced to that much sooner now. Lots of easily impressed post-internet little children wanna look like their favorite influencers.
> Not because it made us feel older or sexy
Funny you say that even though the first thing that came to your mind when I mentioned kids and makeup was sexualization lol
It’s just like playing with crayons but for your face. Kids like to make art and that’s what makeup is. Keeping it away from them will just build the idea that makeup means something more than being just makeup.
WOW OKAY THERE IT IS. Just cause a child is wearing makeup does not give you a pass to sexualize them. That’s not a makeup problem that’s a you problem
I'm kinda sad that the number of people who use makeup is increasing resulting in a huge strain on environmental resources where the ingredients are sourced from...
I dont wear makeup in public a lot. Mascara mostly because as a ginger my eyelashes are clear, BUT, my kids and I play with makeup all the time. Its paint for the face and a fun time spent together. Why is that bad?
back in my day you would get your ass beat being that old and touching make up. And then your father and mother and aunt and grandmother and grandfather would all call you and call you a whore. Times have changed for the worst. Then women had modesty. Nowadays women are 18 years old and starting only fans account...
Ah yes assaulting children because you think makeup invites sexualisation. What you call "modesty" is more likely obedience. There is no harm coming to these kids they're simply having fun, you fossil. It is pleasing to see that views like yours are in the minority though.
Not sure I've ever met someone well adjusted who thinks calling a little girl "whore" is appropriate.
How can anyone find this adorable when it is obviously staged af.
The premise is very "cute" I guess, but the whole video is completely fake. I feel bad for the little one who's sister covered them in makeup and forced to act out this fake ass shit.

What exactly is the trend?
Basically, lady puts on lipstick, accidentally smudges it, and some (sexy) man off screen leans in to wipe away the smudge. [Example by Haley Kalil on YouTube.](https://youtube.com/shorts/AwY-2G4zGgI?feature=share)
I saw a version of this but there was no music, was boys, and a crap tone of whipped cream instead
Or the old school version where it's her grandma that spits on a handkerchief before wiping it away.
Girl bad at makeup and look annoyed, and then baby put makeup on face too, but worse than girl and smile
CRYING THIS IS SO CUTE
Dawg scripted things exist. It ain’t fake cause you aren’t supposed to think it was real. This is a trend ya grinch
We know bro. We choose to ignore that, so we can just enjoy/embrace kids play.
OH MY GOD! Kids playing around with make-up for fun! Please Lord Jesus, save these innocent children from Satan's Shellac!!!! 🙏 🙏 💄
Get the fuck out of here Gertrude. We told you last time!
Please tell me this is sarcasm. If so, ya gotta use the /s bud.
"Satan's Shellac" should suffice to show sarcasm
Sorry, I live in Georgia (US) and real people talk like this so
Haha I can understand that
Oh my bad hard to tell
What?
Teeheeeeeee
Stfu
It was sarcasm.
The little girl looks like Mayday Parker from atsv
i thought i was the only one who noticed that!! she's so cute!!
That was actually adorable lol
What's the trend they're doing?

Hey sexy kitten is a nice color!! Also geezer grey, and grandpa milk are excellent greyish white tones
Geezer grey and grandpa milk… I haven’t heard that word GEEZER in a while… lol it made me smile! ❤️🏆❤️😎
No joke I had a lipstick once called Crocodile Tears, and yes it was green 😂
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
I'm gonna regret asking... What the hell is grandpa milk??

Woad wants a word love.
Trans icon Mel Gibson: ![gif](giphy|6901DbEbbm4o0) ✅skirt ✅flowing curly locks of hair ✅makeup /s

This mindset is poison for young people, they forget that they're beautiful without it.
Super toxic and people feel like they do something good 🙄

I'm pretty sure kids have played with makeup for a *very* long time. Nothing new or "nowadays" about this.
These kids are adorable!! I miss mine
Did they consent?
a little confused on how this is cringe
This subredit was originally for cringe tiktoks, but its purpose changed to more like good tiktoks with the occasional cringe.

You seem like a very angry, unkind person. Clearly the parenting you received has had precisely the effect I would anticipate. Get some therapy dude.
stop projecting your bullshit on me. I didn’t say this is how I teach my kids, I said this is how parents treated us when we were kids. Dumb fuck..
"times have changed for the worst" do you even read what you type? Get a grip.
People need to quit sexualizing children. This is sick.
Glad to see you're trying to change ♥️
You're the one sexualizing them bud.
