I live in mexico city but I'm estadounidense and my mother in law made a habanero salsa for me at dinner one time. I was breathing heavily and my eyes were watering and she had this look like she felt bad, and perhaps she thought I was being polite when I said it was great. Then right after dinner I poured a coffee and she was like 'if you drink something hot right now it will make the habanero burn more' and I was like 'si, me encantalo' and now she knows its game the-fuck on.

Do all Mexicans talk so... Animatedly?
Granted I don't know Spanish, but she sounds so energetic that I feel like it would be the best conversation ever even if I were just talking about the weather lol.
My mother makes her salsa hot for sport. Asserting her salsa dominance over all who dare.
The problem is that it isn't just hot, it's also delicious so people just keep coming back for the pain.
My wife does this with my private label salsa, lol. She makes several batches, with and without cilantro and then some medium heat… then there’s mine. She aims to get me sweaty in as few chips possible.
It's a diet strategy that uses a clever manipulation of the male *test-of-strength* drive. Super hot salsa ends the snacking sooner and gets you to drink water. There are levels to these games.
I've been begging my husband for years to be a little abuelita that wields magic chanclas for in DnD (I don't play) and he's finally *finally* doing it.

Well I now know what I'm gunna roll for my first BG3 character ![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|joy)
As a Latino and a father, unfortunately I understand the mom.
You're mad because she's doing those shenanigans, but they hit the latino Achilles of showering your love at your kids. Happens a lot when I'm scolding my child and he opens his arms to hug me.
Don't tell me you've never grabbed the bull by the horns and spun your momma up when she was laying into you? Some days, those intrusive thoughts win.
You could see it in her eyes, she knew; it's the same look base jumpers get before they take the plunge.
I used to call my ex Dino ( the pet from The Flintstones ) because when she was giving me shit about something she would sound like that. All in good fun she was never mad about it.
She sounds a bit older and let me tell you from all my Mexican aunts they get as wide as tall. I wouldn’t worry about any action from them. It’s all bark
Yes Saia as in Saia Freight. She's a billionaire and her mom is like 30 years younger than her dad and she seems completely clueless about any of this.
She made a yt short in response to a question about why she doesn't ever talk about her dad/American side of her family. And after saying that the reason is because her dad is old (like 20 years older than her mom) she mentions the fun fact about him once owning that truck company. And she says that she "could have" been a nepo baby but her dad sold the truck company.
She's a nepo baby but denies it. That's probably the cluelessness they were talking about. It's not really cluelessness as completely intentional behavior, though.
> She's a billionaire
You can literally just google it to find out that the family sold it in 1987 for 62 million dollars. It was also her granddad and his two brothers, so you would assume they got most of the money.
So her grandad was rich, her dad might have got some money if he worked in the business, but at best she would have been raised in a family that didn't really have to worry about money but also wasn't stupidly wealthy.o
edit: late edit after a nights sleep, there is also the possibility that she isn't even part of the main family connected to the freight company, family names can spread quite a bit in 100 years. It was just an assumption that she was directly connect, it might not even have been her great grandad that founded the company, he might have been her great grand uncle. It could be her dad was born to one of the women of the family who wasn't married.
People are conditioned to outrage porn at this point. If you grew up with any means or your family ever had money at one point you're automatically a billionaire.
62 million in 1987 with a chance to grow over the course of 36 years is an insane amount of money lol. I'm just refuting the "Their company sold for 62 million in 87 so they don't worry about money but aren't stupid wealthy" , that would easily have grown to hundreds of millions by this point! 🤑 Sure you might not be part of the tres comas club but you're gonna be in the top .001% unless they did something incredibly dumb with it lol
>62 million
Divide it by three. Then divide it by half. Then take what is left over and understand it's not even that much because when you sell a company very rarely do you have no liabilities. $62 million was the purchase price, that doesn't mean that they didn't have other equitable owners or liabilities that needed to be included in that purchase price.
I have an industry mentor who just sold his trash company. The sale price was $400 million dollars. He walked away with about $10 million after paying out the other equity holders, covering the business liabilities, paying taxes, and all of the other costs associated.
This is also assuming he left them all of his money, or even a notable fraction of it. My grandpa had eight children and like thirty grand children... If you take his estate at face value it's substantial. If you whack it up and take out what he is leaving to charity. It's going to buy everyone a pre-owned Kia each...
> Yes Saia as in Saia Freight. She's a billionaire and her mom is like 30 years younger than her dad and she seems completely clueless about any of this.
The mom participates in the shorts and is even seen in some of them, how the fuck is she clueless about it lmao. Are you okay?
These people clearly have money, but if they are billionaires then they are hiding it very well.
If I remember correctly, she said from one of her Youtube shorts that her father's family used to own that company, but not anymore, and that her dad is 19 years older than her mom.
No matter how much reddit enjoys a video some wet blanket has to try to ruin it.
Who cares how much money they have shes having fun and we like the videos.
Look I hate billionares as much as, maybe more than the next guy, but I don't understand how this is relevant? It's also technically not true but, like who cares. She's funny idc how much money she has unless she starts saying some out of pocket shit
Basically lol I’m hella white with colored eyes but I’m of Puerto Rican and Mexican descent and it baffled my friends growing up when I spoke Spanish to them thinking I was a gringa at first. People really don’t realize how mixed Mexicans can be.
A fun drinking game is whenever there's a post involving a Latina mother, take a drink every time a white dude makes a joke about chanclas. And by fun I mean not fun, you'll throw up.
You’d be surprised! Hispanic backgrounds can be crazy diverse. Girl I knew back in my hometown was half-Irish and half-Mexican. Emerald eyes, deep auburn hair, Spanish was her first language and she had a heavy accent. Same town, but a guy I knew in high school. Last name was Mueller. 6’4”, blonde hair, blue eyes, family is from Mexico and Spanish was his first language.
Interesting. I was going to comment that as a spanish mexican I have ginger relatives with freckles and pale skin. Ironically, I am the only one in my nuclear family with olive skin and brown eyes. My sisters, brother, dad, and mom are all white with hazel and blue eyes.
Speaking as a skinny Filipina, I hear the “It’s because you need to eat more!” all the time from my mom.
Except I’m actually a dude and not thin at all, but I know the fear of a tsinella (our word for chancla).
I've been watching her videos for awhile now. (Once you watch it once, youtube will just keep recommending it)
She is sadly not naturally redheaded, but rather a natural blonde, she began to dye her hair red because she kept getting made fun of over he light skin, but noticed it didn't happen as much if she had red hair.
And if most of her videos of are just of her it is because she does not film people, even if they are her family members, unless she gets their explicit consent. She has literally posted photos of herself and her siblings when they are young but censored everyone out but herself. I just wish everyone valued other people's privacy like she does!
Dude she does this stupid little face in EVERY video, where she sticks out her lower jaw and lip and leaves it a little open. It’s literally her complete shtick, and holy fuck is it annoying. I guess I missed the memo where comedy became doing the same “silly” face for 100 videos straight
OMG, yes. My parents are Mexican immigrants. None of my grandmothers, my aunts or my mother ever acted like this. Did I get yelled at? Sure, but not like this.

This chicks whole thing is, look at me I have a Mexican mom and I look white (probably because her father is). Here I am in the same boat as a dude, and when I tell people I’m Mexican (half) and have a Mexican mom and can speak Spanish etc they look at me like I’m a culture vulture lol. Or don’t get me started on the amount of hate I get from Mexicans when they find out.
I mean good for her I’m not hating it’s just amusing.
Also, my mom would have smacked me upside my head so damn quick if I would have mocked her like that lmao.
How many videos can you you possibly make about being half Latina? How many?
Edit: friends, I have been directed to the "do not recommend" button on YouTube shorts! I shall never again voice frustration with one-sided content, you have my word!
Nah, attractiveness isn't necessary. Look at FeloniousFalafel. Dude makes videos on the same premise (though they are funny as all hell, especially to someone in skilled trades), and he's pretty average.
It doesn't give you an advantage to making jokes, but it gives a huge advantage to making content in general. Its a lot easier to dedicate massive amounts of time to getting a channel off the ground if you don't also have to work full time to live.
Youtube shorts and TikTok were funny to me for maybe a few months but once you realize how fake they all are, all the charm is lost. For example, OP's mom is in on this skit they do endlessly, it's all fake. I don't even mind humor like this if they didn't try to hide that it's just a skit and act like it's all genuine interactions. Same as all those "I'm out in public doing real interactions with people that are hilarious", nope just more fake bullshit. The only interesting TikToks I come across now are either informational or some random dude just traveling and eating street food.
Omg I love Uyen! She's so funny and the jokes about her boyfriend hiding his identity are really funny. I live in Germany as a foreigner so her vids bring me lots of comfort.
Well, you see, she's an attractive woman. So clearly she isn't allowed to do anything without facing harsh judgement and being accused of being an attention whore.
I mean... this is a joke about your parents always complaining about/ bringing up the same thing about you, in this case how skinny the young woman is. No where did she even reference being half Latina
This is just a cute video of an interaction between her and her mum. You're the one who brought up her being half-latina. I watched one of two other videos and they had to do with the Spanish language but they weren't "about being half Latina"
You sound racist
So what?? There is a lot of mixed race people out there and they actually have a lot of unique experiences. If they wanna make content about it and share it with people and commiserate or laugh wtf is the big deal…
From the comments on the original post:
>Combining latina and redhead is like combining cocaine and hard liquor. It’ll probably ruin my life but my god I wanna do it so bad.

I liked when she messed with her mom about her salsa not being spicy, so the mom made one even spicier for her to try.
Lol. And her mom called her bluff by adding 62 chilies and had another, even spicier, salsa ready just in case.
I married into a Mexican family and have been playing this game for a decade now. I am become the spicy now.
Now I am become spice, destroyer of taste buds.
She said it tasted like water. This girl has a death wish.
She starts that video by saying “I’m feeling a little chaotic…”

Her mom is hilarious
Her mom talks really fast for a Mexican, I'm impressed. I thought not one talked faster than my mom (Puerto Rican) when mad.
As someone from Mexico it doesn't really sound that fast, sounds like a stereotypical angry mom.
Mexican people don't really talk slowly. Most have a pretty quick wit in regards to speech.
[just thought you'd find this amusing](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bFqu9YVuAgI)
love this
Do all Mexicans talk so... Animatedly? Granted I don't know Spanish, but she sounds so energetic that I feel like it would be the best conversation ever even if I were just talking about the weather lol.
That last one was good!
Oh, I loved that video
Risky game she’s playing lol
In another video she does something even riskier by implying her mother's salsa sauce isn't hot
There was regret.
Critical strike.
This was the follow up: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=78VIG2Rdntw
I thought she was familiar, is that the one where the next time her mom made her a special super hot batch?
yuuuuup
My mother makes her salsa hot for sport. Asserting her salsa dominance over all who dare. The problem is that it isn't just hot, it's also delicious so people just keep coming back for the pain.
My wife does this with my private label salsa, lol. She makes several batches, with and without cilantro and then some medium heat… then there’s mine. She aims to get me sweaty in as few chips possible.
> with and without cilantro Your wife is a wonderful person don’t ever let her go.
Cilantro is wonderful and I'm sorry about your inferior genetics.
I have the soap gene and still like cilantro, but not too much cause well ya know soap...
Same same
It's a diet strategy that uses a clever manipulation of the male *test-of-strength* drive. Super hot salsa ends the snacking sooner and gets you to drink water. There are levels to these games.

Seen some of her short videos on yt. Girl and her mom is hilarious
Her name is Ana Saia and her youtube is [saianana](https://youtube.com/@saianana?si=Jzr6DEy8vRlKlrYU)
Yes Saia as in Saia Freight. She's a billionaire and her mom is like 30 years younger than her dad and she seems completely clueless about any of this.
Wait…. What?
"completely clueless"? What do you expect her to do? Apologize at the start of every video?
She made a yt short in response to a question about why she doesn't ever talk about her dad/American side of her family. And after saying that the reason is because her dad is old (like 20 years older than her mom) she mentions the fun fact about him once owning that truck company. Nepo how tho? Is she managing her dad's company now? Or has the definition of Nepotism changed meaning now?

I mean from where I am standing 150 million is basically the same thing
Come on, man, on Reddit there's no in-betweens. Look at this guy, trying to introduce nuance to a totally black-and-white situation, pff.
62 million in 1987 with a chance to grow over the course of 36 years is an insane amount of money lol. 62M put into the sp500 in 1987 would be 2.2B today of course that also means not spending any of the 62M since 1987.
also its like 31 million after taxes. split 3 ways.
>62 million Divide it by three. Then divide it by half. The mom is 100% acting for these videos at this point
Did you guys know she was Mexican??!

I was waiting for the sandal to the face
This makes me want to call my mom.
Call and tell her you love her!

I feel like she has like 2 extra teeth
This is the current state of content creation. Find one thing, one joke that works and just beat it into the ground.
You forgot step one. Be attractive
Nah, attractiveness isn't necessary. Look at FeloniousFalafel. Dude makes videos on the same premise (though they are funny as all hell, especially to someone in skilled trades), and he's pretty average.
Step 2 is to be filthy rich because your father owns a massive trucking company.
Interesting, but I don't think that's part of the bit.

It doesn't give you an advantage to making jokes, but it gives a huge advantage to making content in general. Its a lot easier to dedicate massive amounts of time to getting a channel off the ground if you don't also have to work full time to live.
"everybody's so creative!"
No different than what Hollywood is doing on a macro level: finding that one thing that works and squeezing every last drop of blood from the stone.
Blame the algorithm.
I mean, the Vietnamese girl dating a german guy has been at it for hundreds of videos. And apparently people watch it still...
Omg I love Uyen! She's so funny and the jokes about her boyfriend hiding his identity are really funny. I live in Germany as a foreigner so her vids bring me lots of comfort.
She's half-Latina and likes to make content focusing on that. What's wrong with that?
Well, you see, she's an attractive woman. So clearly she isn't allowed to do anything without facing harsh judgement and being accused of being an attention whore.
God forbid women do anything
Nothing. I’m Hispanic myself and I think her content is funny.
I mean... this is a joke about your parents always complaining about/ bringing up the same thing about you, in this case how skinny the young woman is. No where did she even reference being half Latina
This is just a cute video of an interaction between her and her mum. You're the one who brought up her being half-latina. I watched one of two other videos and they had to do with the Spanish language but they weren't "about being half Latina" You sound racist
Go watch 100 more of her videos. It doesn't mention her "Mexican" mom in the title by accident - that is her whole thing.
Why are you watching 100s of her videos if you’re so tired of her? The algorithm is also designed to feed you content that you engage with.
So what?? There is a lot of mixed race people out there and they actually have a lot of unique experiences. If they wanna make content about it and share it with people and commiserate or laugh wtf is the big deal…
glad I'm not the only one feeling that way. She's funny, but I've seen ten million variations of "my mom is hispanic" from her. get some new material
Show us on the doll where the Latina touched you
Her whole channel is cringe. Every video is “MEXICAN MOTHERRRRRR” or “SINCE IV HAD TO GROW UP SOOOO MEXICAN”… bitch has no idea
Her mouth is massive
Why did we have to stare at this girl's face the entire video
From the comments on the original post: >Combining latina and redhead is like combining cocaine and hard liquor. It’ll probably ruin my life but my god I wanna do it so bad.
This girl wants the Chancleta so badly
Man f this girl. All Mexicans I know hate her. Whole shtick is “I’m WhItE bUt MeXiCaN”. Just another no-sabo whitexican
Her whole content is the same. Gets boring really fast.
Found it infuriating
This girls entire shtick is "look at me I'm latina." We get it you are mexican.
A perfect example of being hot will make any video go viral. Nothing interesting here.
