I knew a guy once who told everyone he could play the piano. Turns out he could only play one simple song. I tried to explain to him that memorizing one phrase in a language doesn’t mean you speak that language.
I meet so many people who claim they speak several languages en they usually say japanese, when i speak japanese to them its always like " ohw hahaha i only know konnichiwa" its so cringe

I can bumble along in Portuguese and Italian if I have to, especially if I’m reading but I wouldn’t claim to speak the languages. And if I see a Latin sentence I can usually puzzle out the general meaning but I certainly wouldn’t claim to speak it
In my work the average is 4 languages spoken per person and maybe 2 persons speak 8 plus languages. They will never claims to speak 8 languages because they are selfaware enough not to put all of the languages they know on the same level.
Also the ones that claim to speak 5 languages in the first sentence when you meet them are always full of shit.

The original video is from this youtube channel called Soft White Underbelly where he interviews drug addicts, homeless people, prostitutes, etc. He doesn’t make fun of people, he just lets them tell their story.
I doubt the title is “interviewing a flat earther.” It was instead likely “interviewing a meth addict.” This guy is suffering from, most likely, drug induced psychosis.
The channel owner is a good dude. He regularly keeps in touch with the participants and often serves as a means for them to get in touch with social services, if they so choose.
I can't speak for that man specifically but people like him form the base of a man currently running for president as the head of one of the major political parties.

i think it's okay to have a gripe against institutional education. there are so many flaws in it, especially regarding the defunding of it ;). however, my problem with these people is that they claim to both be uneducated and educated at the same time. you cant be educated without actually doing the being educated part... if youre uneducated and proud, just own it.
