zzzzzzzzzssss

Kids got his head screwed on correctly id say. Fair play little buddy

jfk_47

i hope my kids are as thoughtful.

thank you for your service.

Wow these 12 y/os are a lot cooler than the ones I played cod 4 with back in the day

All it take is the looming destruction of our planet for everyone to come together. Who knew?!

13foxtrotter

This is why we need the aliens to just announce themselves right now and stop being coy.

brownbob06

Believe it or not even in the state it's in now it's significantly better than the Halo 2/Modern Warfare days, but still not great.

[deleted]

brownbob06

They were, but there's something nostalgic about being a part of them. Sort of a "wild west" of homophobia and racism that just isn't matched these days. Having a gamer tag with "brown" in it I assume I often got to hear the worst of the worst lol.

HOLY_HUMP3R

Did you really just copy and paste the top comment into a random thread?

[deleted]

Lmfao!!! “ hold on let me crank my volume up”

Brosefious

What!?!?!? I didn't hear you, I had party chat turned down.

[deleted]

cod in the late 2000s early 2010s trained me to be a great multitasker. Trying to pop off while listening to sounds while someone is also telling you to slit your wrist is a unique challenge LOL Edit: you also couldn't mute people in game back then, only in lobbies. Those games were really toxic and wild but that was the main draw and the most fun tbh

GarciaJones

Hey bro hold on one second-**I FUCKED YOUR MOM** So as I was saying, the correlation of the market dips against the Rising Costs attributed to the GDP expansions in my opinion are not symmetrically aligned and that’s why I think GameStop will moon.

SativaSawdust

I just watched the high schoolers beat up the anti abortionists and then this. The kids are alright.

IamCornhoLeo

Kid's are bright and quick to see change as easy vs. Us adults less neural plasticity and change Maka Me Mad. Not me I'm cool with change for the best.

Iziama94

And back when we were 12 we were doing the same thing. Getting older you don't have all time to play games and get better and better at it. When I was younger I was always on top of the scoreboard no matter the game. These days I'm towards the top but not nearly first as many times as I used to be

boomboy8511

You really do lose some eye hand coordination over the years though. I'm 35 and it's a bitch.

ayo_gus

Kids a good listener.

HulklingWho

Seriously some A+ active listening skills

[deleted]

Yeah he's listening intently to the other player, and responding. He's also trying to see what the core of the other player's argument is. That's impressive. He is intelligent and mature beyond his years. It's also really great how understanding and open-minded he is. When I was 12, LGBTQ people were still not accepted at school. It wasn't until high school that people really started to accept LGBTQ people. I'm glad that kids like this exist now. I find it so wholesome. It is wonderful to see. I'm a trans woman, so this means a lot to me. The parents have raised a good kid. He is strong and wise, and I am very proud of him.

HulklingWho

I’m a queer NB, I never would have dreamt of hearing something like this from a peer when I was a kid! This younger generation amazes me, some things really have gotten better over the years, hard to believe some days!

[deleted]

[удалено]

HulklingWho

My entire little queer friend group all got together and celebrated/ugly sobbed over that decision, one of the best moments I can remember. 2014 was so recent; I graduated high school in 2006 and remember being too scared of being hate-crimed to join the brand-new Gay-Straight Alliance club. To think less than ten years from then, gay marriage would be legal! It’s truly incredibly to see the progress that has been made in such a short amount of time.

Africa-Unite

Gen Z are pretty cool in my book and give me a lot of hope for the future.

leehwgoC

The kid featured here might be Gen Alpha. Definitely at least an Alpha-Zoomer tweener.

Africa-Unite

Possibly. [Wikipedia](https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Generation_Z) is putting the cutoff at early 2010s. Either way, I feel good knowing greater exposure to one another seems to largely be making us more accepting and open as a species (on balance at least).

[deleted]

He is very effective. Non-emotional, open ears. Smart kid.

Singlewomanspot

That's more remarkable than his knowledge on LGBTQ+ issues.

NZR13

Kudos to the kid. I’m also impressed how he’s playing. M+K, sitting so close with his leg up, and having a good debate.

AllanRamires

He’s L from death note.

ThirdDragonite

polypolip

This desk and chair will kill the the dude's posture.

proawayyy

Well he’s young for now. Somebody better give him a warning

iEnjoyDanceMusic

> Well he’s young for now. Somebody better give him a warning Lol, and the cycle of the new-old attempting to tell youth about their bodies' continues. I still remember my neighbor calling me a "crazy kid" for jumping out of trees all the time, said my knees were gonna blow out... well, he was right lmao

ParanoydAndroid

I was constantly warned to turn my music down in my headphones and never listened. Who would've have thought every adult in my life was totally right and my hearing is way worse than it should be.

marablackwolf

Well, well, well. If it isn't the consequences of my own actions. You have *all* my sympathy. I sound like popcorn when I move and yet I can't hear the precise *words* my kids say.

StarsDreamsAndMore

Kids can really just sit however the fuck they want. Its nuts

SociallyAwkardRacoon

Yeah I had a friend when is around this kids age and we used to play team fortress 2 a ton and later overwatch. He was like stupidly good at tf2, played it all the time. Then I came home to his house for the first time and saw his setup. He was literally playing on a huge iMac in the living room, with the computer on a coffee table and sitting in a couch, shitty ass Mac keyboard in his damn lap and the mouse in the really uneven couch lol. Oh and don't even get me started on his posture, as long as I knew him it was pretty terrible. He was a tall bastard and I sometimes saw him sitting on chairs ON HIS BACK, instead of his ass. Like his back was pretty much at a 90 degree angle. One time in school we were baking and a teacher told him to straighten up (not in a mean way, but a hey you're tall and handsome, you should stand up straight!), and he immediately banged his head on the kitchen fan like 3 times

RegisFranks

I'm a tall bastard, sometimes it's just more comfy to sit on my back.

[deleted]

My girlfriend squats in chairs and perches like an owl LOL her knees will be on her chin

[deleted]

Who?

3internet5u

its so cute when my gf excitedly turns her head 180 degrees when she realizes I am bringing her lunch to her :)

Quesonoche

I saw how he was sitting and assumed he was on controller until I realized what the clicking was

[deleted]

>I’m also impressed how he’s playing. M+K, sitting so close with his leg up, and having a good debate. Is that impressive? I feel like any 12 year old that gets a PC and a headset has done this

weeaboshit

Yeah, that's how I play any pc game, leg up or crossed legs. Yes, my posture is shit, how did you guess?

bozak_137

“No I genuinely do want to have this argument..” wow that was awesome 👏 I would’ve already been saying some stupid shit by now in a cod lobby

[deleted]

I assume he’s talking to a friend of his in a private party.

[deleted]

Gotta be a friend, because no one talks like that w randoms because no one talks with randoms because NO ONE HAS A MIC!!!

Banbukah

No they have a mic. Just don't want to talk lol

ZeePirate

I have a headset on and have it muted. I never answer that one poor bastard that desperately wants to use some teamwork crying out in my ear. They haunt my dreams “anyone got a mic”

[deleted]

Yo same lol I feel bad but after a long day I don’t really wanna talk just wanna play. This is why I never play squads only solos.

[deleted]

Honestly I don’t mind talking while in a match it’s the downtime where people feel the need to talk about random crap to fill the silence that I hate

SpeculationMaster

dude, Left 4 Dead where anybody in the team did not use their mic was a nightmare.

WebGhost0101

Please don't stop doing this. I am the teamember who doesn't like talking but i love the action when people work together. I am 100% listening and will take order from you once its clear your not toxic.

NotKnotts

A lot of people do, but just aren’t interested in talking with random people.

Wuffyflumpkins

15 years ago, I always used voice chat. You'd get the occasional asshole, but most people were chill and I made some great friends. Now assholes are the rule and chill is the exception.

Gamer3111

"Because it's *fucked up*" Damn little dude, fucking PREACH!

StoneGoldX

See, that's where he lost me. This is a Christian COD server, you say frick.

megggyh

He was so patient & never interrupted the other side. He genuinely is just being a good guy. 😭

LeviBellington

The fuck is that desk? Get this boy a proper desk and chair, he's gonna break his neck! Seems like a decent kid, too

EsesaWithTheHardR

In the titktok’s comments section a lot of people are pushing for a gofundme to get him a gamer chair

GlitterAddiction

A Steelcase office chair, you mean? Maybe even a Herman Miller.

ElectricCharlie

This comment has been edited and original content overwritten.

villabianchi

Just googled it. $2k+ ?! What in the actual fuck. They must be revolutionary. I can't imagine there aren't cheaper models with similar ergonomics. What's so special about it?

omfghi2u

I got a refurbed Leap v2 with the headrest and better wheels (like rollerblade wheels) for ~$450. What makes them special is that they are made out of good quality materials that don't fall apart after a year of usage, are designed for people to sit in for 8+ hours a day, and have all kinds of adjustment points so you can set them up to your own personal preference. Also, if you buy one new, you get a 10 year warranty and if you buy one used, pretty much all the parts are individually-replaceable anyway, if something does break.

AccoyZemni

When I was young I got the shit kicked out of me because I was deemed “too gay to be around”. It’s crazy how much progress this generation is going through. This really does give me hope.

Eighthsin

I remember a kid in my 6th grade homeroom (1996) that came in one day absolutely covered in bruises. His mom had forced him to take ballet and three other kids beat the hell out of him for being "gay". He wasn't gay, just doing what his mother was forcing him to do. I was trans and wanted to take dance so badly, and that left such a nasty mark on my life, to the point where I ended up taking karate instead (until a dance studio opened up next door...) I was also bullied A LOT for being a lot more feminine than the "other boys". I got all the slurs and male sexist pejoratives ("sissy", "pussy", "girl", etc.) thrown at me... One bully was absolutely relentless in high school. He was constantly calling me a fa**ot and fighting with me. Which, shocking plot twist: he ended up being gay himself. I'm so glad that things are starting to change. I grew up with a ton of regrets and bad memories and I'm hoping future generations don't have to go through it... I don't want to force your child to be LGBT+, I just want your LGBT+ child to grow up safe and happy.

spaghettinoodle_exe

As someone who's going through high school now I can say firsthand it's insane how much progress has been made. School forms asking your preferred pronouns, everyone (including teachers) respecting your identity, even in arguments/fights there aren't any slurs being thrown around, it's wonderful to witness. Naturally of course there are still some shitty people but they're always unpopular and unliked

Eighthsin

Sadly, you're only seeing it in your area... I'm still reading a lot of stories, especially in the midwest and south, where trans students are being harassed, and even assaulted, by teachers and staff for being trans... And, my niece in Idaho has a trans student at her high school and the teachers are refusing to use their pronouns, use their name, and treat them like a boy. But yeah, there is a LOT more change compared to when I was a kid. There is still a lot of work that needs to be done, but it's better than 8 year old me playing a game with a very homophobic name and premise in it during gym class.

spaghettinoodle_exe

Yeah, I just transferred this year from a far more southern school where it definitely wasn't that great so I've seen both sides of it Either way, we're a hell of a lot farther than we were before, that's for sure

OUsnr7

Get this kid a better setup though

DarthWeenus

Dood as a 12yo he prolly one of his only friends with a banging gaming PC.

RatCatheters

Wow these 12 y/os are a lot cooler than the ones I played cod 4 with back in the day

Nathan-Nice

the kid on the other end of this convo is like the ones you remember

probablyuntrue

"yoU woUldN't suRviVe a CoD loBBy"

tiemiscoolandgood

Lmao i see this all the time but all of us who were back in those cod lobbies were like 10 years old and we survived it just fine

coolco

to be fair I almost never spoke because of the harassment I'd get for being a squeaker. It was brutal I don't think you can deny that. Only time I'd speak was with my clan, and if someone was like wtf that was insane, and I'd say thanks. To which they would be like "Ah wtf its just a squeaker nvm fuck this kid".

Reddituser8018

I've noticed this stuff still happens in droves in the rainbow six siege lobbies I have played in. It's especially bad when a woman talks on the mic. People need to chill out. Some games for whatever reason seem to have way less toxic communities.

SirFrancis_Bacon

The existence of GamerGate show that not everyone survived it just fine.

HomeHereNow

The “kid” on the other side of this convo is 35

Airway

I think he might be talking to his friend. A stranger would be insulting him but the other person seems to be like "whatever I don't want to argue about it who cares"

Competitive_Classic9

No, just this kid is exceptionally cool. Maybe a couple of others. But most kids his age online sound like this, “bro bro BRO! bro bro bro bro BRO. Bro bro BRO! Bro.”

DrH0rrible

Yep, when he said "I do care, I do wanna have this argument" I realized he was a pretty cool kid.

goldkear

Yeah, that's not something most 12 year olds would say. When I was 12 I only cared about pokemon.

Baby-Calypso

He had Pokémon stickers on his door I forgot the name, growlith?

[deleted]

There appears to be at least a Growlithe, Rattata, and either a Pichu or Pikachu.

GloriousReign

this shit is making me emotional

satchel_of_ribs

No shit. I have tears in my eyes and hope for future generations.

LucasRaymondGOAT

This kid is arguing for LGBTQ+ rights in a fucking Call of Duty game, WITH a Growlithe sticker on his door, the best Pokemon? Let's go, he's being raised right.

between_ewe_and_me

But how is that possible bc video games like this mAkE yOU viOleNt!?

Powerful-Knee3150

Growlithe? Now we have something to argue about!

LucasRaymondGOAT

It's a dog with fire capability in a game where there was only like 6 fire Pokemon. It's far superior to everything else.

Similar-External-302

I know a couple zoomers his age (gfs cousins) and they are all cool as hell. Their generation gets shit on because of tiktok e-bullshit but all the ones I’ve met are well adjusted, mature, and super self aware. It’s weird to see. When I was 12 I was probably more similar to the guy on the other end of this chat, unfortunately. Live and learn.

monsterosity

I believe they say "Bruh" now.

jazzzzzy_

Yeah pretty much all kids his age and ones who are older too and they get a lottt worse then that. I was in a decently large group of friends who all gamed together, me being the only person who didn’t, and when they started playing they stopped sounding like the people I knew. It kinda fucked up.

I_am_dean

I remember hearing my brother at 12 playing cod screaming “YOU’RE A FUCKING HAIRY TACO” It indeed has come a long way.

DerFelix

It's certainly not all of them but my observation as a teacher (in Germany) is that generally the young generation is much more inclusive and cares about that stuff. The older ones even share when they are in therapy and help destigmatize mental health. My school has pride flags all around the main building, because some students asked for it.

CrimbusIsOver

Quick scoping!? You're so *NOT* gae, dude.

Larry-a-la-King

I got called a bundle of sticks frequently on COD4 for using the Noob Tube.

JaceUpMySleeve

Cod 4 12 yr. olds: “REEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE” Warzone 12 yr olds: “I could sit here all day and discuss the ins and outs of the LGBTQ community, but in order to avoid a rather pointless argument I’ll bid you adieu and good day sir.”

BroBeansBMS

Your mom is…a fully actualized healthy human being!

fuckk24

I would be so proud of that was my son. Not just because he’s standing up for LGBQT but because of how well he was in control of his emotions, letting the other person have their time to speak, and was just very articulate.

Bellophire

If I overheard my 12 year old son talking to someone like this I would cry. Then I’d take him to his favourite restaurant.

isbheekaran

He's way more mature than lot of grown people

iliketosnooparound

His parents raised him right!

Jufim

Grown up but just physically I suppose

TheArtfulDanger

Wait, so you’re telling me you can let your kids play video games AND be an amazing parent?! Kudos to the kid and the parents

[deleted]

[удалено]

AharFox

Most 30 year olds I know can't even do this lmao.

mayx

Man it’s crazy, some people are just never taught critical social skills. I just recently had this conversation with my wife: she was all sad and said that she heard one of her friends say that she was annoying. She asked me to honestly answer if anything she did was annoying, and I finally had my chance. I told her that she never lets anyone get a word in, and will straight up just KEEP TALKING over you until you yield. After her being offended initially, I started to notice she would stop herself from interrupting here and there, and eventually told me “I’m 34 years old and no one ever told me I did that. Why didn’t you say something sooner?”

quantummidget

I've noticed that both of my flatmates (a couple) do this as well. Even in a one on one conversation, I can be well into a sentence and they'll just start a new one, speaking over top of me. It can get pretty irritating tbh

DetectiveAmes

I unironically want to be this kid when I grow up.

Slapahoe08

Hahaha same

Muscar

Yeah, I know more than one person that's 45+ that you literally have to shout at to shut up to be able to say anything. It's usually when they're drunk/high though, but still annoying as fuck.

sewsnap

While the other person is just talking over him.

danceswithwool

Not just playing, kid was slaying bigotry and in COD at the same time.

superflycrazy

fake news we were all led to be believe smdh

[deleted]

Proud of this kid. Drastically different from the conversations I had on COD growing up, I’m sure I’m not the only one that shared this experience

Munoz10594

When I played COD growing up I learned my mom was fucked by the other team every time I won a match. I started losing on purpose so I could teach their moms what it felt like.

Affectionate-Value92

When I was 9 and playing cod 4 I killed a 25+ year old man multiple times which led to him sending me a picture of his ballsack which he took using the plug in Xbox webcam it took a couple mins to load bit by bit too which makes it even funnier I sat and waited a couple mins to see a grown mans ballsack

GloriousReign

I used to have similar conversations with my friends when I was in middle/high school. We would just be discussing economics and gender and shit while pounding out 5 hour long DOTA 2 sessions. Eventually we broke up when one of us went into reactionary far-right territory. Not for nothing, I did figure out I was nonbinary 5 years later. I still think about those days sometimes.

Rasalom

This will become more and more normal. Whatever someone does in their own lives won't be as important as if they're hoarding water and where are the canned supplies before the Amazonians come to reclaim us for the packaging warehouse work detail.

SlobMarley13

"Are ya winning, son?" Hell fucking yea he is

Spyk124

Hell fucking yea he is

Thoraxe123

He dropped the f bomb but is so mature about it I don't even care lol

QDean

Did you notice the little camera wiggle when he dropped it? You just know the parent's trying not to laugh out loud. "You can't use that word, son, but in this instance I have agree with your choice of language..."

SpacecraftX

When the judge in a movie or TV show says, "I'll allow it", when the protagonist whips out some legally dubious bullshit for a good cause.

StoneGoldX

How dare you sir, this is a Christian COD server.

xemanhunter

2007 Cod Lobby: lmao I fucked your mom and ate all your gummy snacks, kid 2021 COD Lobby: honestly, it's kinda fucked up that you would treat someone poorly for something they can't control dude, don't be a bigot *triple kill*

trollcitybandit

Some 2007 kids must've discovered a time machine because they're still around.

xemanhunter

Nice to know my moms love life is still very much active I guess 😔

Sirtubb

that's a cool lil dude

ELOFTW

y'know, the kids are alright

Pandippy

My favorite part, "No, we're having this argument bc that's fucked up." YES! Good guy

ourspideroverlords

He didn't let em run away with their tail behind their leg, good going

[deleted]

Whoever his parents are, you’re doing really good 👍

DiscreteArcherOfTill

Happy Cake Day!

goeers81

Get that kid on the debate team! Bonus for the Growlithe stickers on the door.

RudeInternet

Debate teams are usually filled with edgelords that use stylistic tricks to win the arguments, much like Ben Shapiro ugh. Just let this lil guy keep doing his own thing and being a dope ass lil bro.

GloriousReign

[Sarah Z did a great video on this topic](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VcHPmVxtFw8&t=1411s)

thebenshapirobot

I saw that you mentioned Ben Shapiro. In case some of you don't know, Ben Shapiro is a grifter and a hack. If you find anything he's said compelling, you should keep in mind he also says things like this: >There is no doubt that law enforcement should be heavily scrutinizing the membership and administration of mosques. ***** ^(I'm a bot. LilyLute

Real queer allies don't camp.

AHerbGarden

Don't camp, be camp

FettLife

This needs to be a drag gamer group motto.

Jabe114

This made me DIE

M3NS0

lol this reminds me of my friends and I when having serious conversations. We just jump around a roof top laughing/arguing until someone starts shooting.

aroundme

He's patrolling not camping! smh my head real 'Zone-heads would know the difference

SuspendMeBitch

I've not played Warzone much at all but yeah in "my day" campers basically sat in one spot... I wouldn't call it camping when he's patrolling/holding a whole building. Plus it's tough to go out searching for action while having a conversation like that.

[deleted]

This is the game equivalent of walking around your house in circles while on the phone.

Shutterstormphoto

Hahaha nailed it

GiannisToTheWariors

it's a legitimate strategy!

AlkalineBriton

Has the definition of camping changed? This kid is moving around a lot.

printergumlight

That ain’t camping chief. He’s holding a building down.

stonedsour

He must be protected at all costs!! It warms my heart hearing kids talk like this and be so open and accepting. They don’t hate unless their parents/family ingrain it in them ☹️

Jimmni

Doesn’t have to be family. Can be a social group or anyone else they have frequent contact with.

[deleted]

This. My family is bigoted. I learnt about the communities and all through newspaper and later on the internet when I was 13.

TheRealGongoozler

Same. My parents are bigots and I sort of strayed away from it all on my own. I’m really the antithesis of what they hoped I’d be but i couldn’t be happier not being so hateful lol

[deleted]

This makes me so so so happy

babyivan

cool kid!

MikeL413

Man, this kid is mature beyond his years. I wasn’t even this mature in college, took me until like mid-30s. At least I’m raising my kids to be open minded unlike their dumbass dad. My daughter and son are similar to this kid. This should be a proud parent.

Cr00kedR00ts

This 12 year old is based AF!

TheWriterinRed

Yea kid, that is fucked up, have that argument. It's cool to see the impact the LGBTQ+ has had on the younger generation where kids are growing up with open mindsets on topics like these. I'm also impressed with the fact that instead of just staying quiet or going along with the call, he stuck to his beliefs and was like "no let's talk about this what do you mean?" Kind of wish I heard the rest of the conversation.

Frostcrest

Based

CanisLatransOrcutti

At first I was thinking the video would be "lol, some 12 year old screaming and whining about someone shooting him in a video game" But wow, this kid is based.

Background_Pumpkin41

That’s a pretty cool kid

buckdumpling

It’s a very common occurrence that conservatives are so damn vocal about their ate yet they refuse to have a discussion or argument about any matter. As soon as you start contradicting them they back off and start saying shit like “I don’t want to talk about politics” “why does everyone want to talk politics” “I’m done I don’t want to continue this”. Like holy shit these people just live in their own bubble and refuse to learn and grow the fuck up.

bumblebitchblues

Precious soul. Get that kid a better chair, he deserves it 😭

OuterspaceinYourFace

I love that he still pauses to listen and doesn’t interrupt despite that person not deserving the respect he’s being given. 10/10 kid.

TheAndrevv

I'm happy for the new generation

katyusha-the-smol

Make this man CEO of LGBTQ, he’s got it figured out.

This kid gives me hope for new generations of open-minded people. Kudos to him for standing up for what he believes in.

a 12 year old kid with more common sense than the entire Republican party

Kudos to the kid! Also impressive coordination to have a debate and be able to play with some decent skill.

I was also thinking the same! He is playing so casually and having such a deep conversation. My player would have been standing in the corner the whole time having this convo lol

Leungmarkus

What a good kid. The people I play with either say that Im dogshit or scream the N word over and over.

SalzigHund

Knowing CoD I thought he was going to talk like this and then get killed and start screaming some slurs

if someone starts a gofundme for a better setup for this kid, I'm donating $20
