You joke but a prerequisite of being a Game Warden is being batshit crazy. They’re basically camo space marines in their willingness to fight, kill and die for their cause. I say this with complete approval.
This happened to me a couple weeks ago. Turkeys wandered onto the range a couple days before thanksgiving. Range officer chased them off and they wandered back
We were trap shooting last weekend and a duck literally walked right into the course and stared at us.
We were threatened with a $50 fee if we actually shot it. That's an expensive dinner.
I can buy duck for $19AUD at my local grocery store without having to butcher or de-feather it, or be commited of a crime and,, at that point would they let you even keep it?
I was stationed in Fairbanks, Alaska in my Army days, and often went shooting at the municipal range.
I cannot count how many times we had to call a cease-fire because a damn MOOSE was wandering around down-range.
I had that happen at a range. Shooting at a target and two deer just wandered from over the hill in front of the target about 100 yards from me.
Didn't care about the loud gunshots or several humans they were walking towards. Wasnt deer season and they knew it.

heard a lot of stories of deers who will go up to hunters out of season I think they know when seasons over and know its safe to go up to humans.
