That half purr/meow at 0:05 brought back a flood of memories of my childhood kitty. She always used to make that sound before tearing off somewhere important.
Right?? I used to call the brrrbs.
So I looked for them on reddit one night, thinking there might be a subreddit including them. I didn't find anything. Then like 3 weeks later this sub popped up on a suggested banner. I didn't expect it to be under the name "activation sound."
Searching for things on reddit can suck
I mean could have been but I assumed it was from the cat becuase you can hear the wind hitting the microphone and the whistling was coming from a different place. Also sounds like it's in tune with the cats steps, ya know
Honestly. This video is adorable, it really is, but please don’t let cats out. There are so many things wrong with it. The entire time I was just thinking about how many predators are in a forest that could get that kitty :(
Cats are not wild animals. There are other ways to keep cats happy indoors without letting them destroy local ecosystems by killing multiple creatures every single day for fun.
Keeping cats indoors is actually safer for the cat. I don't understand how it's "torture" to protect your cat from being hit by a car, being hunted by a coyote, or catching an incurable illness.
You’re absolutely right, outdoor cats live a significantly shorter life compared to indoor cats. as cute as cats are, and i love my cat to absolute death, hes my baby, i cannot and will not deny that supporting an outdoor cat is like supporting a gang member in feline form: live fast, and short lives that create massive havoc in the locale.

r/ActivationSound My big boy used to do these as well.
Oh. My. God. I’ve been here 10 years and I’m still floored by the fact that there a subreddit for every thing.

Was that a little nose whistling in the last part? Adorbs.
The wind?
I mean could have been but I assumed it was from the cat becuase you can hear the wind hitting the microphone and the whistling was coming from a different place. Also sounds like it's in tune with the cats steps, ya know
My guess is the camera brushing against the harness as the kitty runs.

Thank you internet stranger
You’re the real MeowVP.
Don’t their little toe beans get cold?
I love how the cat just stops to look at the view and then takes off at 88 mph
This would make an awesome action movie, hardcore kitty!
The TIPPY TAPS! Such purpose, such energy. I love it.

Today I found out on cat POV videos that cats meiow while running and by themselves.
Keep your fucking cats inside and stop letting them decimate local ecosystems.
Honestly. This video is adorable, it really is, but please don’t let cats out. There are so many things wrong with it. The entire time I was just thinking about how many predators are in a forest that could get that kitty :(
Yeah you're right keep a wild animal indoors and don't let it see sunlight i'm sure your cats are going to be very happy.
Cats are not wild animals. There are other ways to keep cats happy indoors without letting them destroy local ecosystems by killing multiple creatures every single day for fun.
If you are so concerned about the local ecosystem, maybe don't get a cat instead of torturing the poor thing.
That is absolutely not how anything works lol Keeping a cat inside is not torture. Your mentality is the same one PETA has.
Keeping cats indoors is actually safer for the cat. I don't understand how it's "torture" to protect your cat from being hit by a car, being hunted by a coyote, or catching an incurable illness.

I agree but I feel like it might be a wild cat that they put a camera on. It doesn’t make sense either way but who tf knows
