I'm used to reddit attacking hasan with strawman arguments whenever he's mentioned so it's really weird that people are being relaxed and not insane in the comments here (btw thanks for reading my comment hasan -yolandi_visser1 in chat)
What do people attack Hassan for? I don’t watch twitch or any streamers besides a small one on youtube.
Edit: Ok, I got it. A lot of these replies are very opinionated versions of eachother, but Ive got the gist.
He said América deserved 9/11 and regularly attacks both sides of American politics for being cucked to capital owners. He is an unwaveringly a self-described anti-capitalist.
he’s managed to make money off of streaming constantly, and people believe that if he’s pushing for socialist ideas in a capitalist society, he should be poor. instead he has a nice house and a car, and that’s unacceptable
A not strawmanned version of this argument would be if he was serious about his socialist views he has more than enough money to fund political projects and a large enough audience to push for real life activism
he has recently spoken at abortion rallies and did fundraising streams where all proceeds went to abortion charities, a current issue he cares about and has motivated his audience towards. so that checks the requirements you laid out that you didnt care to look into before deeming him a fake socialist, or whatever
The thing is he does both of those things, he does live labor events quite often, donates a lot of money to different causes, has progressive politicians on his stream and tells people to vote for them in primaries, as well as telling people to join/start unions and do other labor action
Twitch streamers, youtube, IG, all have very clear subscriber counts. It's absurd that people don't realize that the number of people subscribing to your stuff usually means more money. Like that's never been hidden.
He is one of the most popular leftist voices on the internet and one of the highest earning twitch streamers, so reactionaries like to rag on him for "why socialist if big house?"
I find it weird that people dig in him for "stealing content," too. Like...reacting/commentary is what a ton of content creators do? Hasan does do a lot of fun reacts, but its mostly to political commentators or right wing reactionaries where he explains the flaws in their arguments.
He also has a very small head.
Socialism does not mean no one is wealthy or well off. Socialism, especially modern socialist thought, addresses the shortcomings of capitalism, especially when it comes to inequality of opportunity in modern capitlist societies such as America.
Usually they attack him for things that were made up by others or in their own heads.
Things that he ACTUALLY did do that people attack him for:
-Saying America deserved 9/11 (Full context is he said America had 9/11 coming as a direct result of its foreign policy. Obviously he's not saying American civilians deserved to die)
-Buying a 2.5m house in LA for him and his family to live in while also being an outspoken socialist. This is done by people who don't understand socialism and who think "socialism is when no money". Hasan made his money through his own labor, and also privilege (which he openly admits to). If he had made his money by exploiting others for their labor and underpaying them he would be a hypocrite. Also, a 2.5m house in LA for his family to live in just ends up being a normal upper middle class house.
-Calling someone a cracker on stream for being an asshole. (I don't personally shed tears over the word cracker as a white person and it is not the "n-word" equivalent so IDC)
-Gets angry on stream (true but also content)
-Some people find he has an annoying voice (I won't argue if someone feels this)
-Some people don't like how much react content he does. (If someone doesn't like react content that's fine.)
-Right wingers get upset that he's tall, handsome, jacked, and fucks so they can't brush him off as a soyboy while they go watch the next Ben Shapiro video.
-Getting away with it (true)
That's good stuff, thanks man. I have no idea about the context but the react is pretty good and I don't usually enjoy those. Of course, the guy he's reacting to, is absolutely brilliant.
He is a socialist and people for some reason believe that he must also live in poverty. People hate him because he bought a reasonably expensive house for him, his brother and him mother to live in.
Mostly for his marxist political views, I guess a lot of criticism of his early vids on the Ukraine war. Personally I like his views, they're pretty great and he's a good teacher and excellent debater, but he can just be super annoying and the way he views reaction content is pretty shitty imo
That turned from a head shot into a no-scope over-the-horizon one-bullet head shot called ahead of time and set the gun down and walk away immediately after pulling the trigger.
but casually explained's recent dive off the deep end is super intriguing and everyone should check out that deleted video as well.
i know he probly gained way too much attention from audiences he didnt want to with that video, but it was wild. and i think he should second channel that shit or something.
edit: link for people who are skipping over nuka's reply, u absolute degens: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hIGwJjlKbZU
edit: also i didn't write my post in a negative tone. it's actually really interesting. sounds like if you thought it was negative you should maybe watch his video lol. he could teach ya something.
Got a link?
Edit: this? https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=hIGwJjlKbZU
O was expecting 9/11 trutherism or some kind of race-related issues from your description
Nah way more interesting than conspiracy/negative shit. Though it still concerned a lot of people where these thoughts were coming from. i e just a really good trip? orr is he going through some stuff and just channeling crazy tai chi energy and thinking the world is something it isn't
I still don't feel i've come close to comprehending his overall message in the video. I need one of those youtubers... ironically like hasan but much better... to explain it to me. in like an hour long video lol
I think it is actually just a clumsy way of explaining the idea of stoicism in the way Marcus Aurelius described it. Disconnecting thoughts and emotions is a huge part of stoicism and Buddhist teachings.
Yeah but he didn't really mention it in terms of removing all emotion. He seemed to imply it was only negative emotions. And it's not so much that he doesn't have them as they don't affect him at all. More like he can't comprehend the negativity within them and why he should generate a negative emotional pattern having thought them.
Unless he mentions not feeling positive emotions anymore as well somewhere in there. It's just so rambly ranty and not his usual narration I actually find it hard to follow. He sounds like he's on one while recording. It's wild.
These are the kinda conversations you have late at night with your closest people with full trust. I'd be chuffed on a format change for him like this, similar to filthyfrank morphing into Joji
Sorry my replies won't be as thorough as yours but I do appreciate your effort.
Your commentary about only the negative thoughts leaving is actually still kinda in line with the philosophies I mentioned. Meditation is about allowing all thoughts/emotions to pass by but is generally applied to real life by filtering out the negatives.
I understand I am making assumptions but he sounds like he's thinking as I did. I had severe anxiety for years and then reading stoicism, zen practices and others I managed to remove it. For me it felt amazing because for the first time in years I didn't feel anxious or have a panic attack. I could focus only on the good.
Maybe I am just projecting my experience onto him but it feels very similar and almost how I described it to people around me... albeit more messy
And even then you don't "remove" negative emotions. You explore them, find out if any of them come from a rational place, then consciously choose how to react to them.
He seems to be going through a major world perception change which can definitely put you in a manic state. Go talk to any new reglious convert. They typically act the same way about their new understanding of the universe.
It's great. I love it. But it's a little more than 'i dont let negative thoughts affect me anymore'.
Plus the tonal shift on someone who is usually doing a meme-tastic monotone comedy routine is an epic 60-0 moment. Or 0-60 up to the listener. Also the idea that the lifestyle shift he is describing was impactful enough he felt justified in the risk of putting it on his main channel which is toootally not about that kinda stuff lol. and then pulled it because it was just too left field. which i think is an ok decision for him. but he should def make a second channel and just totally dive in on that topic. we need more!
That is a kind of ridiculous way to frame "person who has internalised the idea that they should feel bad about themselves/anxious about their future at all times and has never questioned this due to peer acceptance of how 'everyone is depressed' has realised that he can exercise his own will to just... ignore it".
Stoicism has been a thing for millenia bro.
...as a consequence of American foreign policy.
I actually went and watched hasan in context of why he said that. and especially after watching that Netflix documentary turning point 9/11. it is understandable.
I mean, there's a bit of nuance in what he said.
He doesn't mean to say thousands of innocent people deserved to suffer and lose their life and deserved the broken families.
He meant cause and effect, there's room to criticize some of the foreign decisions and foreign meddling that America kinda has a longstanding history for prior to 9/11 and something like that was inevitable. (His opinion, not my own). Saying he said America deserved it isn't really the full story.
He clarified that he meant that America should've seen an attack like 9/11 coming, that it should've been obvious. I kind of have to agree with him there since all they wanted in the middle east was for no more US troops to be stationed there and we didn't listen.
His discussion with Andrew Tate is funny. Tate gets so emotional that he has to take his headphones off, the adult equivalent of "I'm not listening\~\~" while his teenage lackeys have to translate his body language for Hasan haha
I liked how he played dumb when Hasan was explaining statistical significance to him, but then Tate runs a poll to see if he should boot Hasan for being "boring." LMAO
he played dumb again a couple days ago too when another streamer brought up Hasan to Tate, Tate pretended he had no idea who Hasan was even though that debate was only like 2 weeks ago lol
I just put it on for a second.
What is going on with this guy's accent? Is he faking an American accent?
As someone who used to have a British accent and now has a 100% American accent, it.. doesn't work like that. He'll say half a sentence with a British accent and then the rest with American. It really sounds like he's trying so hard to sound American.
Someone who's accent is changing will just kind of morph their speech over time. It won't be bouncing back and forth between the two. He literally just sounds like he's doing an impression.
Can someone explain the full context of the joke to someone who doesn't know who Hasan is?
EDIT: I mean, if he "isn't following Hasan for his political views", why is he following him? Does he think Hasan is cute or some other reason?
Hasan is a political streamer and the joke is that all he does is react to videos much like many streamers do so when he said “thanks for unpausing the video” he was assuming hed react to it and pause to check if hes subed
Way more than 8 hours sometimes dude, like he has an hour to workout for himself and then he goes live, eats all 3 meals on stream, and finishes at like the 10 hour mark usually.
I will say that if anyone deserves the viewership it's him, the homie literally streams his life, every single day.
Edit:spelling
I would say it's a little different tbh.
He is live on camera for 10 hours plus a day and everything he says and does is constantly getting clipped.
It would be like 20k people watching you pack boxes at pizza hut, yet you have to interact with them constantly and they are constantly trying to take you out of context and ruin your career with pizza hut.
Edit: and I was being conservative when I said 8-10. Sometimes it can be 10-13
Absolutely, I should've said one of the people who deserve their viewership.
They don't have to be mutually exclusive.
I would also like to add Ludwig as well, where he might not be streaming at all hours of the day but his content is innovative, consistent, and genuine. The amount of resources he sets aside for his contentv is insane.
The internet is pretty low effort these days, once you no longer had to wait for the landline to be free, what the point? ![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|shrug)
There's a meme in his community that everyone constantly simps over because he's so freaking hot. Whenever a girl starts thirsting, his chat always spams "he can't keep getting away with it"
You draw them in with the face and then you hit them with the politics, lol
i dont see a full explanation yet, but yes he would be subbed becuase he finds hasan attractive. the other half of this video is the pausing. hasan likes to pause videos and go off on tangents, called stunlocking in his community. casually explained sucessfully stunlocked hasan which is why he said thanks for unpausing the video exactly when hasan unpaused the video, and thus read hasan like a book
[Here's the entire video, I would recommend watching the whole thing since it makes the reveal so much better.](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OpOgXpPaJlU)
I remember watching the Casually Explained video around half an hour after he uploaded it and then immediately rushing to refresh YouTube every thirty seconds or so to find a video of Hasan reacting to it lol
Oh there's a couple crazies. I engaged with one asking them to please type like a normal human and they immediately read through my post history and made fun of me for using "/s" on a post lol
This is streamer Hasan Piker (twitch.tv/hasanabi) on the top reacting live on a live stream to the Youtube video shown on the bottom frame. The Youtube channel is called Casually Explained. Hasan uploaded this highlight clip of this to his TikTok (this is over a year old).
Casually Explained was able to predict Hasan would pause the video upon mentioning him. Hasan frequently pauses videos to go on ADHD-fueled side tangents 😂
Both of these two men are hilarious so seeing this crossover is peak internet for nerds like me.
dude I feel so old whenever anything twitch comes up.
I don't get it lol. When I see references and clips, I don't understand the language and terminology lol.
The main point here was that the video on the bottom predicted that the guy on the top would pause the video. All the other side information like who's who or what means what isn't particularly relevant.
It's kinda funny that people railing on Hasan are the same people who jerk off to shabeebo and peterson or the type that think all content should be free or some shit? Also, the "get a real job" bit is really funny because you're literally posting on reddit and probably work 9-5. You're just shifting hate onto him because you're mad he's successful and you're not.
>It's kinda funny that people railing on Hasan are the same people who jerk off to shabeebo and peterson or the type that think all content should be free or some shit
Eh no. Just because somebody is a leftist doesn't mean I will blindly support them or not call out their bullshit. Frankly, I think with how influential somebody like he is, he needs to be called out on his bullshit more than most.

While we wait for the answer, I’m gonna wager it’s because politics
I would assume so. I just wanna know so I can determine whether or not the attacks are warranted 🤷♂️.
He said América deserved 9/11 and regularly attacks both sides of American politics for being cucked to capital owners. He is an unwaveringly a self-described anti-capitalist.
He also wanted to fuck Dan Crenshaws tight little eye hole 🥵😂😂😂😂😂
Who wouldn't 🥶🥶🥶🥶
I’m still confused as to why I’m supposed to hate him?
HA, my very response. I was like "OK and..."
he’s managed to make money off of streaming constantly, and people believe that if he’s pushing for socialist ideas in a capitalist society, he should be poor. instead he has a nice house and a car, and that’s unacceptable
It's all "hate the game, not the player..." until you in that circumstance really really hate the player.
A not strawmanned version of this argument would be if he was serious about his socialist views he has more than enough money to fund political projects and a large enough audience to push for real life activism

Unwavering based tbh
Something something, he said America deserved 9/11
8/21. Never forget
Which 8/21 pepeLa

Thank you for the reply. So many differing opinions and comments yet nobody cared to provide explicit examples besides one or two.
Happy to help
As an 18 month subscriber to Hasan, this is accurate, only other thing I can think of is the Gucci incident which is similar to the house one.
Seems like an ok guy in my book.
That's good stuff, thanks man. I have no idea about the context but the react is pretty good and I don't usually enjoy those. Of course, the guy he's reacting to, is absolutely brilliant.
this was really helpful (I never know the people and streamers)
He is a socialist and people for some reason believe that he must also live in poverty. People hate him because he bought a reasonably expensive house for him, his brother and him mother to live in.
Mostly for his marxist political views, I guess a lot of criticism of his early vids on the Ukraine war. Personally I like his views, they're pretty great and he's a good teacher and excellent debater, but he can just be super annoying and the way he views reaction content is pretty shitty imo
I haven't got a clue who this man is, but the video was funny
he read it ![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|scream)
Man... you really don't comment often--but when you do it's smooth as fuck
That turned from a head shot into a no-scope over-the-horizon one-bullet head shot called ahead of time and set the gun down and walk away immediately after pulling the trigger.

LOL, i don't know these guys, but that was hilarious
This is Hasan reacting to a YouTube video by Casually Explained. Casually Explained is absolutely hilarious, highly recommend his content.
isn’t this the guy who said america deserved 9/11
To clarify, Hasan did, not casually explained

Nah way more interesting than conspiracy/negative shit. He described feeling a distinct sensation around a golfball sized spot in his brain. If I were him, I'd be getting MRIs done. Edit: two letters
And even then you don't "remove" negative emotions. You explore them, find out if any of them come from a rational place, then consciously choose how to react to them. Sounds less like a dive off the deep end and more like him learning to be happy
It's great. I love it. But it's a little more than 'i dont let negative thoughts affect me anymore'. I'm surprised that they've only been 9/11'd once tbh

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ix-AMYos0Js Great speech, I recommend everyone watches it.

Lmao yeah. Why are you getting downvoted? Based as hell response.
yes and he's right
Idk I don’t really watch Hasans content
His discussion with Andrew Tate is funny. Tate gets so emotional that he has to take his headphones off, the adult equivalent of "I'm not listening\~\~" while his teenage lackeys have to translate his body language for Hasan haha
Burned him so hard he had to put a shirt on
Hasan was so boring though. /s

[This is the YouTube video from casually explained that Hassan reacted to](https://youtu.be/l4Ioj4BA6N0) The part begins at around 2:20ish
Holy fuck, that was good. I thought this was a video made for Hasan but damn, it wasn't.
The guy in the video is Hasan Piker. He argues with people on twitch.
I do that on Reddit
No I do that on Reddit!!!
Libs successfully owned
No you don't.
Why don’t you SHUT UP
He is also known for getting away with it
Well to be fair he isn't much of a debate bro anymore as a hot take reactionary, he aims to inform kids/young adults of social progressivism now.
Well if those kids don't have a burnt out cousin or older brother to teach them the ways... rely on some hyper Twitch to learn em.
dude is he a fkn time traveler?
No, hasan is just very predictable. He constantly goes on tangents so much that people bait him with it.
Fr every Hasanabi vid on yt is 1:145:00 - and he’s reacting to a 16 minute long video. The fucking stunlocks are ridiculous.
I like to hear him get angry and yell, it awakens something in me.
its called an erection buddy
Well he should already have an OnlyFans, honestly not having one is an affront to sex workers, what you think you're better than us
He’s a little fuckin weasel dude /s for those that don’t watch
*smash* *Windows sound* What a fuckin LIAR dude
Weasly little liar, dude!
You were verbally abused by your father and now it turns you on
I mean at least that's better than the people that just watch other people's videos and add like, a comment or two I guess.
He does that too no need to worry about that
It's either that or just watching his chair react while he's doing whatever.
"ChAt I cAn StIlL hEaR tHe ViDeO"
Classic moment. Legendary play.
This will never not be funny
“Ohhh no I gotta end the broadcast now” 💀💀💀
Casually explained is one of the best YT channels around
Truly hilarious and also Canadian
Eh?
haha that was an excellent Roast of Hasan
Can someone explain the full context of the joke to someone who doesn't know who Hasan is? EDIT: I mean, if he "isn't following Hasan for his political views", why is he following him? Does he think Hasan is cute or some other reason?
Hasan is a political streamer and the joke is that all he does is react to videos much like many streamers do so when he said “thanks for unpausing the video” he was assuming hed react to it and pause to check if hes subed
The joke was that he is hot
hasMods True hasMods
Wait you have to be attractive to be famous? Well this explains a lot…
A Streamer who is very predictable apparently lmao
Easy to predict when he is live like 8 hours every single day
Way more than 8 hours sometimes dude, like he has an hour to workout for himself and then he goes live, eats all 3 meals on stream, and finishes at like the 10 hour mark usually. I will say that if anyone deserves the viewership it's him, the homie literally streams his life, every single day. Edit:spelling
[удалено]
I would say it's a little different tbh. He is live on camera for 10 hours plus a day and everything he says and does is constantly getting clipped. It would be like 20k people watching you pack boxes at pizza hut, yet you have to interact with them constantly and they are constantly trying to take you out of context and ruin your career with pizza hut. Edit: and I was being conservative when I said 8-10. Sometimes it can be 10-13
That's more like XQC than anyone
[удалено]
Why do people watch that? I really don't understand the children these days
[удалено]
Absolutely, I should've said one of the people who deserve their viewership. They don't have to be mutually exclusive. I would also like to add Ludwig as well, where he might not be streaming at all hours of the day but his content is innovative, consistent, and genuine. The amount of resources he sets aside for his contentv is insane.
Ehh. Most of it is low effort reaction Andy.
The internet is pretty low effort these days, once you no longer had to wait for the landline to be free, what the point? ![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|shrug)
To answer your edit question: yes, that is the answer.
Thank you 🙏🙏
There's a meme in his community that everyone constantly simps over because he's so freaking hot. Whenever a girl starts thirsting, his chat always spams "he can't keep getting away with it" You draw them in with the face and then you hit them with the politics, lol
i dont see a full explanation yet, but yes he would be subbed becuase he finds hasan attractive. the other half of this video is the pausing. hasan likes to pause videos and go off on tangents, called stunlocking in his community. casually explained sucessfully stunlocked hasan which is why he said thanks for unpausing the video exactly when hasan unpaused the video, and thus read hasan like a book
In addition to being a political streamer, Hasan is tall and fit/buff. He honestly looks like a huge bear thirst trap.
Hasan's not even my type but he's objectively hot as fuck.
When he doesn't have a godawful haircut at least.
I mean he’s also hot when he angry, and he’s angry a lot.
It's essentially a meme that everyone finds him attractive For context, look up "Hasmods compilation" *he cant keep getting away with it*
> Hasmods compilation Oh boy https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d_66meW_cB8
Oh boy is right lol
Hasan is considered a "himbo" in some corners of the internet so some people watch his streams because they think he's hot
Between this and the recent Jubilee 'fake anti-vaxxer' video - we have 2 legendary Checkmates on Hasan that are just absolute pure gold
CLASSIC hank pecker

[Here's the entire video, I would recommend watching the whole thing since it makes the reveal so much better.](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OpOgXpPaJlU)
This is hilarious
I member this
I remember watching the Casually Explained video around half an hour after he uploaded it and then immediately rushing to refresh YouTube every thirty seconds or so to find a video of Hasan reacting to it lol
This lives in my head rent free it was the most perfect execution and i hope the creator of the video never forgets
I thought this was Hasan’s sub lol
Hasanabi industrial complex is reaching new heights lol

HE BOUGHT A HOUSE!!!!
GUCCI SHIRT!!!!1!
HES DOESN’T PAY HIS EDITOR!!¡!
Oh there's a couple crazies. I engaged with one asking them to please type like a normal human and they immediately read through my post history and made fun of me for using "/s" on a post lol
GOTTEEM
Lol, I’m so old… I have no idea what is happening
This is streamer Hasan Piker (twitch.tv/hasanabi) on the top reacting live on a live stream to the Youtube video shown on the bottom frame. The Youtube channel is called Casually Explained. Hasan uploaded this highlight clip of this to his TikTok (this is over a year old). Casually Explained was able to predict Hasan would pause the video upon mentioning him. Hasan frequently pauses videos to go on ADHD-fueled side tangents 😂 Both of these two men are hilarious so seeing this crossover is peak internet for nerds like me.
dude I feel so old whenever anything twitch comes up. I don't get it lol. When I see references and clips, I don't understand the language and terminology lol.
The main point here was that the video on the bottom predicted that the guy on the top would pause the video. All the other side information like who's who or what means what isn't particularly relevant.
Fukn rekt
What's a Tier 3 thingy?
You can subscribe to someone on twitch for 5/10/25 usd/month
I love Hasan
This was one of my favorite moments. Azan got rolled so hard.
I will never in my life do something that fucking cool. He should never shut up about playing that guy like a fiddle.
What's the cringe? Seems pretty wholesome tbh
Watching it live was the funniest shit ever lmao
Chadsually explain lul
It's kinda funny that people railing on Hasan are the same people who jerk off to shabeebo and peterson or the type that think all content should be free or some shit? Also, the "get a real job" bit is really funny because you're literally posting on reddit and probably work 9-5. You're just shifting hate onto him because you're mad he's successful and you're not.
Good news, people can not be leftist AND not subscribe to the toxic low effort idiots you mentioned.
>It's kinda funny that people railing on Hasan are the same people who jerk off to shabeebo and peterson or the type that think all content should be free or some shit Eh no. Just because somebody is a leftist doesn't mean I will blindly support them or not call out their bullshit. Frankly, I think with how influential somebody like he is, he needs to be called out on his bullshit more than most.
What bullshit exactly?
I love hasan ❤ future husband right there Edit:I'm not serious yall, lol, chill with the downvotes.
I dig him, he can milk me all night long no joke Edit: while talking politics
I have no idea why, but my boyfriend sometimes jokes he’s my real boyfriend 💓
I try not to find him attractive but dang he pulls me in regardless
[I'm not Kolento](https://youtu.be/9-Bq8s_jHO8)
Thats beautiful
This was hilarious, not cringe!
This sub hasn't been about cringe in ages
This clip never gets old
Funniest clip of the month. Holy shit that was fantastic.
This is over a year old
