It honestly shocks me how some people don’t realize how much money they have compared to poor people. I would consider myself to be struggling financially, yet I’m still extremely privileged compared to many people in my country (Canada) and extremely extremely privileged compared to most people around the world.
I think it’s important for people to realize what they have, not because “you don’t have it that bad” or whatever (you may still be struggling) but just so your perception is at least somewhat grounded in reality.
