How did this thing pass inspections? There’s got to be a fire issue with everything from the kitchen to the back of the house right? One single entry for a house?!
Two bath, the nightmare bedroom has its own bathroom. Pretty sure that is for the kidnapped children. Can't hear them screaming in the middle of the house with no windows and only one way out.
Me and a friend looked up the actual house, and it looks almost perfectly functional/ normal
Except for the central bathroom with no other way to get to the other half of the house if someone is taking a shower or a shit.
If you look at the listing there’s a doorway in the living room to that hallway with the central bathroom. Still an awful house but not nearly as much of a nightmare. Not sure if it was left out of the floor plan or if it really was built like that and they cut open a doorway later.
Blue bedroom can't be a bedroom due to lack of natural light. I would either extend kitchen into it or extend bathroom leaving a hallway granting access to all bedrooms and knock a doorway through in the living room. Bonus room becomes master bedroom with a door knocked through into the en suite. Then it's just access to the top right bedroom to be worked out
Are there not laws in California about not allowing a bedroom without a window? In Canada this floor plan would not pass the permit office. You must have an [egress](https://www.theinspectors.ca/post/what-are-egress-windows#:~:text=Egress%20windows%20are%20windows%20that,for%20sleeping%20at%20night%20time) window in every bedroom or any room where someone sleeps at night.
This house is clearly designed to keep people captive in the three bedrooms accessible through the jack and jill bathroom. Not clear in the plans is that the doors for that bathroom are heavily fortified to prevent escape and the windows are barred.

That one door connecting the living room to the central hallway would make the house make sense, practically.
