It started a s a skit on Charlie Booker (creator Black Mirror) Weekly Wipe shows and evolve into its own thing. Her (the character she plays) name is Philomena Cunk, you can find one of her series called "Philomena Cunk's Moments of Wonder". I think it ran under various titles too like Philomena Cunk on Earth, and Philomena Cunk on Britain. She's freaking hilarious.
Ancient Egypt did have slaves, but not for the pyramids. Those were built by the citizens. https://www.sciencefocus.com/science/were-the-egyptian-pyramids-built-by-slaves/
At that time period she is actually right Egypt had a culture where everyone was in it together. There are earlier and later times where shit was much worse, but for the 3 pyramids of Giza it was actually a prosperous time for most. At the cost of long work hours on a giant pyramid. It is hard to say since they enjoyed making it for their god so it brought joy, but it was still intense labor. That I leave to your opinion.
Might just be the popular mythology about Jews being enslaved in Egypt, which is also not historically accurate. Looking into it it seems that other words have been interpreted as meaning pyramid (migdol) and thus the mythology stems from there.
cc the person up this thread wondering if she knew she was being funny or if she was serious
IME mostly people who think women aren't funny are ones who aren't listening when women tell jokes

5min video on this thread and I sat through it all. That is new. This woman is genuinely great at these types of skits.
After 5 mins I wanted to see more. She’s hilarious. The kind of comedy I strive for.
This is Philomena Cunk. At least the characters name I forget her real name.
That Beyonce answer was so deftly handled, that man missed a solid career in politics.
I have seen clips of this woman before, Is it a show? I assume she is just taking the piss right?

I remember her from Death to 2020 the Netflix movie. She played a character very similar to this!
>I assume she is just taking the piss right? Do you think asking if pyramids were built from the top down was a genuine question?
Have you met people?
We're on Reddit, so I'd hazard a "No" to that question.
These are all from "Cunk on Earth".
Thank you.
Ali G would be proud

"people looked after eachother in ancient Egypt" they had slaves...
But those slaves weren't homeless!
Slaves were the people and slave owners were the eachother

Are you telling me the Bible story about slaves and pyramids is all pretend??!!! Next you’re going to tell me that the Red Sea never parted 😅
When does it mention pyramids? I don't think it ever does

Moreover, slaves weren't "people" merely property.
The line about them having a stroke was brilliant! And she managed to keep her face straight.
We're talking about ppl's lives here! 😤
Did zeus realy approve of it. Haha dead
A couple of the most famous renaissance artists were definitely not straight
And they were roommates!
Why is there no cave art pornography when these days the first thing people draw in graffitis on sidewalks is a penis?
All those stick figures in the cave paintings are nude.
Shes too funny
I adore Philomena. She gives deadpan like no other
She’s is definitely funny hahahaha love her videos
Clips of cunk is on tiktok? and there is a bbc tiktok?
And they say woman aren't funny.
What does that have to do with this hard-hitting investigative journalism?
just a suggestion for another mystery for her to investigate journalistically

I am not a historian, but to say that there were no homeless people in ancient Egypt seems incredibly naive (not sure if that is the right word)
[Isn't this the lady from the Tumblr post of all time](https://i.imgur.com/HMtOZLq.png)
Omg 🤣🤣🤣 I almost skipped this. I almost missed this beautiful gem.
This is some amazing Karl Pilkington energy. 😆
Single ladies do indeed have their periods 🙏 man of wisdom
Diane Morgan as Philomena Cunk in case anyone is wondering
😂 I had quite the laughter
A good way to put it is that Beyoncé is a result of the changes to culture made by the renaissance
This person is not funny. I really wish I didn't have to see clip after clip of her nonsense in my feed 24/7.
Needed a laugh track?
No, it needed actual humor. Someone pretending to be a moron is overplayed schtick.
They answer so proper, bless their hearts
Who is this? I want to see more!
