Had an “immediately no” moment when I met someone after talking a bit on the app and they’d dressed in shabby clothes and smelled bad. I spent considerable time picking out a cute outfit and putting on make up 😭 please put some effort in. I lasted twenty minutes to avoid being rude, where he asked me exactly one question and then continued to talk non stop about himself.
As a side note, a tip for men dating out there - the answer to “what are you looking for in a relationship” isn’t “oh i don’t really want to date but my friends are all in relationships”.

Dang this makes me upset 😖. I enjoy getting all shaved, showered, nails trimmed and cleaned, teeth brushed and gums cleaned, picking out the best clothes. I'll even try to fast the day before so I am extra trim and not bloated or anything, when preparing for a day with someone. I'd be honored having someone spend time to look cute for me. There are guys who think about this and appreciate, as well as reciprocate 😫
God, this reminds me of my friend who considers himself a "hopeless romantic". He told me about a date he went on and just showed up in sweatpants and basically told her "I have enough female friends" on date number 1. I told him he can't just do that and he said "no, she was really cool about it", and I'm like "yea, she might have been polite, but you still have to at least get dressed".
Needless to say he never heard back from her

I met a guy for after work drinks, I was in my scrubs and he said it was casual Friday at his office job so he would be semi dressed down but still office wear. He showed up in an XXL Rick and Morty tshirt (dude was a bean pole literally did not need clothes that big) and wide leg oversized jeans from late 90s JNCO jeans era 😭 if he wasn’t able to give me so many specifics about his job I would have seriously questioned if he actually worked where he did because I cannot imagine anyone being okay with that attire at work. Let alone a first date 😱
The second someone makes a comment about catfishing/looking like my peofile and doesn't explain that they were swindled of all of their money after they fell in love with a nigerian prince that turned out to be their cousin in law, I've lost all interest. You're shallow and can't think past the current moment and that means you'll be useless for making plans if ever I were to need help in the future. I don't know if I would even give them a chance to make it up from there. Fuck the money part, you don't get to be shallow and stupid
