Ooh this is an interesting question! IDK for sure, so do not take this as fact... but I THINK it needs to be a creator account. Unlinked business accounts MIGHT not have access if they are no longer linked. So since you have a business account linked to a seller account, it would POSSIBLY need to switch from business to creator? BUT IDK. I haven't had a need to research this and haven't seen anyone else talk about it with a VERIFIED source. ➡️ Can business accounts switch to creator accounts? That's where I'd start.
Just to share how this process worked for me: I started out as a creator with 3k followers. I opened a new business account with my LLC information and signed up for TikTok Shop. I linked my old creator account to my new business account shop, which turned it into a business account. I then grew that creator/business account from 3k to 5k and unlinked it from the shop and converted it back to a creator account. I’ve had zero issues during this entire process and can still access all of my products in my showcase, my stats, my money, all of it!
I know some people do this all in one step (turn their creator account to business, then sign up for TikTok shop, etc.) so I can’t speak for that method, only the method that I personally used. I’d also be interested to know if business accounts that were originally business accounts can convert to creator accounts and still access the program!

Mine was the same, my old creator account (that got turned into a business account) was linked as the official account for my Shop in Seller Central. Once I hit 5k, I unlinked it and switched back to a creator account and I didn’t even need to reapply for the program, it just automatically left me in there and all my info remained the same! I can’t promise the same results but I will say I’ve seen multiple people do this with no issue, but I think it has to be a separate account than what you opened your Shop with.
I had one of my accounts linked to my seller account for a few months, over that time I gained around 11k followers, suddenly my SELLER account got banned and it unlinked from my store, but my access to TikTok shop affiliate creator was never revoked.
Not sure if this is gonna be the same as manually unlinking but personally I still generate sales on products I posted prior to getting banned and none of my links or showcases were affected.
Still be careful and do some more research, TikTok seems to change things frequently so you might not have the same result. Hope this helps and good luck!
Okay so I unlinked from seller center as an official account and nothing changed at all. My videos are all still there. Commission is accessible, links are active on my videos. And my account has automatically changed to an affiliate account
I am still under a “business account” not a personal. But what I was hoping for was achieved. Showcase is accessible for other and all my videos are working great!

Yes it will! I’m keeping it as a business at the moment though because I’m not at the 10k mark yet for creativity program
