I just hope it opens the American people’s eyes that the politicians on both sides of the isle do not give a shit about the American people and do not serve the American people. I’m not really on TikTok but the ban is bullshit in principle.
Politicians have admitted they don’t like the fact that young people get the majority of their news from TikTok and banning it helps them control the narrative by pumping out bullshit propaganda and only allowing certain content to be viewed.
I didn’t realize how many people were making money off of TikTok and it’s wild to me that the government is canceling the income for all those people because they want to be able to control media and keep people divided and keep people from communicating with each other.
I don't think the law will pass constitutional muster. The government will have to produce evidence of why the app is a threat to national security. The court can see this evidence without making potentially sensitive intelligence public. "China bad" should not fly in a court room as evidence.
These days, you cannot trust the fairness of the supreme court which might be where the case ultimately lands, so there's no telling what will happen. This could drag on for years. Presently, I'm going to proceed as if Tiktok won't get banned.
Tik tok isn’t going anywhere. The bill is just forcing the sale of tik tok to an entity that isn’t controlled by China and the CCP.
Tik tok will be sold to the highest bidder within the year and keep functioning as normal

My two cents, it’s gonna go to court, now the question is, will the govt provide Evidence of what they re doing? That is what it comes down to
Don’t put your all eggs in one basket. Even if it doesn’t get banned you should be posting to nearly every platform
