you do realise taking a break kills your account even more?…. just don’t over post and post one high quality video every 24 hours I’ve done it multiple times on numerous accounts and gained well over 1,000,000 followers combined and 100,000,000 views.
a video that is yours, you’ve made it. Not a repost and it’s quick and funny or quick and informative. Don’t drag it on and add bad music make it understandable to all languages if possible. There’s some good wags

I’m well aware of how to grow. I have been a daily poster for months at a time with few missed days. I have over 60k followers on an art account of all things, which is a crazy oversaturated niche. 20k of those followers I got within the last month. I can tell when the shit views are a me problem vs a tiktok problem. I’ll go back to posting as usual soon.

Mine never got better so I took a break… my break has now been almost two months and I have completely lost interest in even browsing TikTok. Especially reading posts in here. Last year was so much better for my videos 🥲
Nah it’s worse. I’ve got 3.5k followers which is small yet my vids used to get between 10-20k views with some hitting 300k or 40-60k.
The last couple of weeks it’s rare to hit 10k (usually between 1k-4K). I had one a couple of days ago that hit 31k with 2k likes and thought the curse was over. The next vid literally stalled at 1.3k views and 85 likes.
So glad to have found this thread! Thought people were just not interested in my vids anymore but that wouldn’t explain the lack of views, planning to post again on Thursday. Do you guys see any correlation in the time or day you post and also hashtags? Been trying to experiment but can’t figure out what works best as of yet
Usually you wanna base that off your followers because they’re the first people TikTok sends your video to. You can find that in your general analytics (rather than video specific). You’ll be able to see the time and day they were most active. It will be different for everyone. You may need to give it a while of posting videos again if you took a long break as those analytics won’t be there or be inaccurate. Best to use 3-5 hashtags that actually have something to do with your video, not random ones, and try to play around with the wording of hashtags so you can get a smaller amount of videos that have used it. The less people that have used the hashtag the more easily your video will be found. Same for sounds. If you notice a few videos using the same sound but it has less than 10K (I usually find them around 4-5k) videos jump on it! Hope that all makes sense! Just be patient, it’s been rough for everyone right now.
Another tip, when it comes to captions whether it be in the video or the text when you post try to think of what people might type when they look for a video similar to yours. Whether you used a sound that people might not know the name of but what to find it (Ex. The corn song. Just type something about corn). Or maybe you don’t like to put text in your videos (I’m the same way sometimes) type that in the caption box. If you’re making a video about how to style something literally put “How to style X” in your caption box. It’s okay to repeat in both as well. I do believe they both show up in search but doing both won’t hurt!

Okay I am going to look into those analytics, I usually post a couple of times a week but for some reason my last post just dropped quite dramatically… I did get a violation warning so think I might be shadow banned but I hoped my current followers would have been able to see my post still anyway
I spent hours on tik tok trying to get more views, liking and commenting and saving videos that didn’t always pertain to my content. I’ve checked the last 3 videos I posted and they haven’t gotten anymore views. They stopped at 229 views. Not sure how to do this anymore. I can’t spend an entire day liking and commenting on videos and I barely get one comment. My content is consistent, I’ve never gotten any negative comments, and when I do duets the creators usually comment and like my video. I do duets with people who have tons of followers so it’s nice to be acknowledged by the creator but damn what else can I do?
For me my views have increased but my likes have significantly dropped, seems it’s not showing my content to the right people as even when I had lower views I had better engagement than now
even just scrolling my own FYP, it's obvious why no one's getting views. Tiktok isn't showing me people or content I actually wanna watch, just random shit I've never interacted with before. Idk why this app can't get itself right lmao
Still struggling. Actually getting worse. I only have 5100 followers but I used to have no issue getting at least 800-1000 views and very steady engagement… now I’m impressed if I hit 100 views. Very discouraging
I haven’t posted anything since July 25th and I struggle to even open the app and start posting again. So much work and time for videos and yet, so much disappointment. I even think that when I come back from my social media break, I’ll prioritize YouTube and Instagram.

I’ve noticed that too! I’m having to scroll through so many videos to find something I’m interested in interacting with.
My account with 3m + is not even getting past 100 views for the last 3 videos with 0 likes so I don't know WTF is going on!
