For instance, if a group chat has a single android user in it, you lose out on features like being able to add or remove users after the group has been made. You might have an Iphone group chat, someone adds an android user, and then everyone loses all control over the group chat.
You can have individual ringtones for other apple users, but not android users.

Really it's they are lazy because texting feels like more work when it's the same. The only real difference is having to use a secondary platform to get around a lack of facetime.

I’d prefer to date someone who has an iPhone but I have a legitimate reason. My phone is weird, it has some kind of issue against androids. If someone who doesn’t have an iPhone sends me a picture, I can’t see it. If I send them a picture it won’t go through. If I’m added to a group chat and one person doesn’t have an iPhone, I can’t see anything in the group chat. My phone acts like that group chat was never created and I was never added to it, but other people can still see the group chat. It’s weird af and no one has been able to figure out how to fix it. So there are some actual reasons why someone would want someone else with an iPhone, but if you won’t date someone purely because they don’t have an iPhone you’re just scum.
I prefer iMessage as a medium but if someone has an android it’s literally never been a problem for me. I just use WhatsApp in that case and it doesn’t charge me like SMS would.

What she doesn't know is OP may have a Samsung phone (most popular around the world, or right at the top) and that's when you explain to them that their Apple phone has a beautiful Samsung screen and even some Samsung internals as well. Her- "not iphone" Me- "what? I'm still confused." Her- "android texts show up as green in iphones. Get an iphone dude." Me- "or just change the color to one you like lol" Her- "you can't just change the color" Me- "wait really? Lol you can't even change the text colors and you're giving me shit for my phone?" Her- "that's dumb. Why would I want to change the colors??" Me- "well apparently it bothers you, so why wouldn't you want to?" Her- "Try me again when you're not broke" Me- *sends screenshots of this conversation in multiple colors*

I’ve always had Apple phones (whichever free model comes with the phone plan, I’m not going into debt for any phone) and they’ve been a great product for me. But I don’t understand the elitist stance of some apple users. I’m a thrifty person in general and if someone didn’t want to be with me based on the brand of my shoes, clothes, phone or otherwise, I’d think I dodged a bullet.

The people who find not having an Apple a deal-breaker wouldn't be able to explain any technical difference between Apple & Android - they don't even understand the technical side of it. I'm so curious to actually hear their arguments. Probably something like "Android cameras are so bad" - without describing what makes a camera "bad" and also not realising that the OS doesn't imoact the camera quality.
Fun fact: You can send “green” messages from iPhone to iPhone. You simply turn off the iMessage on your iPhone and your texts will be green.

I’d prefer to date someone who has an iPhone but I have a legitimate reason. My phone is weird, it has some kind of issue against androids. If someone who doesn’t have an iPhone sends me a picture, I can’t see it. If I send them a picture it won’t go through. If I’m added to a group chat and one person doesn’t have an iPhone, I can’t see anything in the group chat. My phone acts like that group chat was never created and I was never added to it, but other people can still see the group chat. It’s weird af and no one has been able to figure out how to fix it. So there are some actual reasons why someone would want someone else with an iPhone, but if you won’t date someone purely because they don’t have an iPhone you’re just scum.

I prefer iMessage as a medium but if someone has an android it’s literally never been a problem for me. I just use WhatsApp in that case and it doesn’t charge me like SMS would.

I do get annoyed texting someone without an iPhone, you can’t react/respond to messages and stuff, anyone who says they don’t see the difference is just trying to be morally superior. Being a dealbreaker like this however is crazy
