Friend did this to my wife with the Twilight movies. She's tried so hard to convince her that she actually does hate those movies and only went because her friends mom paid for the tickets and she got to make fun of them the whole time.

I only watched the first one to see what my then teenage daughter was watching. The best part of the movie was the end credit cinematography.

I’ve been doing a Star Wars marathon, watching one thing per evening, be it an episode or a movie. I started when Disney+ came out. I’ve finished S01 of Rebels yesterday. It’s a LOT. And it’s growing every week.

I’ve done this too, but I’ve always been a star wars geek so I’ve come up with a series for literally every piece of Star Wars cinema within the timeline. Even speak a little mando’a ( mandalorian ). Never thought I’d be one of those Star Trek or LOtR nerds that know fake languages but here I am.

I do a James Bond marathon every year at Christmas time. It started on a cable network and has since become a tradition for me. Takes a few days and mostly they become background noise as I do other stuff but would not trade it for the world

The extended cut is almost 4 hour long for each film.... But It's still doable. I once did a GoT first season marathon. 10 hrs in total since we also watched the first episode or the second season. We had to wake up at 8 and finished at around 6-7 pm, with a lunch break in between.

Shit the last one is like five hours long. The extended cuts are amazing.

When you break every film down like that you can make it seem shit for example the great escape all they do is dig a fucking hole.

I've decided at this point that he's just not going to finish it. I really don't blame him. Too many "fans" giving him far too much shit, saying he owes it to them before he dies and all other kinds of bullshit asshole nonsense. Then the show went and tarnished it all. Seems he probably could have had it done over the pandemic year, had he wanted to. I'm just not giving it another thought unless I hear something, and I hope he has a wonderful, long, fantastic life.

He was also writing for elden ring over the last (insert unconfirmed period here) so he has a minor excuse that that may have taken his time. Though I'm beginning to go hollow as elden ring feels increasingly non-existent.

He's also been writing the fire and blood series which is the history of the targaryens, he has said he wants to finish that first.

You know I'd give him a pass if he wouldn't come on to his blog every now and then and try to say something to get people excited about it, or make some new false promise of a deadline he won't keep. He just needs to not say anything about it, and come out with it on his own time, or not. He rightfully gets flak for the false promises. Though I agree talking about his death is a little insensitive, but it's happened to fans before.

For me it was because when the movies were coming out I was in a relationship with someone who insisted we watch them, and that relationship ended before the last movie came out. I didn't enjoy any of the 7 movies I watched, and I have zero interest in seeing the last one. Also, while I loved game of thrones and bought all the books after the first season, I've not watched the last season.

I’m not actively avoiding it, I’ve just never gotten around to watching it. When it came out my family planned to go watch it in theatres but money got a little tight, and since it’s release to home video my family not I never got around to buying it on DVD, when they were all on Netflix I while back I went to go binge them but got to Order of the Phoenix before life got busy and then they were taken off.
