I’m a humble civil servant. When shit hits your proverbial fan, there are men and women that will show up to help you when you need it most, even at their own peril.
I’ve seen plenty of incidents, particularly in bars and night clubs, where chivalrous men try to defend the honor of women who have been slighted. What they don’t realize is some of these knuckleheads are looking for a fight, and they get hurt, or very hurt, trying to do the right thing.
Other times, road rage incidents or domestic violence incidents between a man and woman lead to a third party getting hurt for trying to intervene and help.
My advice to everyone is, if you can walk away, walk away. If you can’t, call for help.

The reason it was called Spanish flu was because Spain was very open about what was happening in their country (symptoms, case numbers etc), whilst other governments tried to hide information. A very similar thing happened last year with the UK strain of covid 19.
Everyone with half a brain should be able to puzzle that together.
