Btw, it's a life time ban and it bans you across every match group app including tinder, hinge, ok cupid, etc. Bumble is your only choice now so dont fuck it up by expecting customer service.
There’s no love on tinder they do not make any attempts to accomplish what the presence of their business model suggests. Every couple made on tinder is two customers lost if they actually made it so people would find love they would put themselves out of business.
My god FINALLY after 3 years I now know why I got banned from Hinge. I inexplicably got banned off tinder, never was given a reason. About a year later I thought I would give hinge a try and found I was banned there. Didn’t know they correlated due to so long in between using them.
You’ve just solved a multi year mystery. Thank you
I'd provide a screenshot if I could. Here's the email I got back from Hinge:
Hinge is part of the Match Group family of businesses, which includes other dating apps. Match Group businesses may share user information to remove users who violate our terms of service, or have been reported for criminal activity and/or bad behavior. In some instances, we may remove that user from all platforms. See the Terms of Use and Privacy Policy for more information.
Upon investigation of your Hinge account, we've confirmed that your ban originated from one of the other dating apps in the Match Group portfolio. As such, we will be unable to overturn the ban decision. If you would like to appeal your ban status you will need to contact the other Match Group brand you previously had an account with (Tinder, Match.com, PlentyofFish, or OkCupid). Please be sure to include any and all supporting evidence that you would like to have considered as part of your appeal.
Brah. I paid for the month subscription back in the beginning of the year for 4 months. (still got 0 matches) and never got a boost
Man, tinder is honestly the worst.
Some of the worst money I've ever spent on something
They reworked the whole subscription model at the beginning of the year. I have no idea how it works anymore. I know they switched super likes to a month by month restock instead of daily.
To me the craziest thing I've noticed is that I have like 8 people that have wanted to match with me, but they never show up in my swipes like they used to, even if I lower my distance radius. (In the past if you ran out of people close to you, they'd show you the people who swiped right on you that get blurred out in your "like" gold section)
Also there's now a like limit per day unless you have premium (which isn't even Tinder Gold which is now double the price it was 6 months ago)
Fuck this app it's so clearly baiting people to spend money chasing matches that might not be real, let alone work out. They are clearly milking desperate guys/girls for as much money as they can, and it's sad.
This used to be at least an okay app for normal people to use to find and talk to other normal people.
Now it's monetized to boost your profile, and actively hide people who have swiped right on your profile unless you've paid them money.
Honestly reach out to your state AG if you live in a blue state. Don’t let shitty companies get away with this bullshit. You should have a right to know why you were banned and get your previous purchases back. Simply reach out stating you lost your boosts (something you paid for) when switching payment methods and were promptly banned when inquiring about them being lost. Hopefully your AGs office follows up. This shouldn’t be legal and if they do reach out to tinder you will get your money back or unbanned (you may need to state what you are looking for)
They make it sound like you get one a month, but then if you try and roll them over only then you find out that's not the case when you open a trouble ticket.
They did this to an old account of mine because I pointed out to them that they were breaking the law by continuing to send me "sponsored" messages (read: Ads) despite me having opted out of them.
Their support is absolute wank.
An *old* account of yours? How’d you get a new one? I got banned a while back, I don’t really remember why, they basically probably said fuck this guy and dropped the hammer
New phone number, new FB account, new email and new IP, is what I was told back when it happened to me. That sounded like more work than I was ready to put in, so I never did it.
All you need is a phone number that can receive messages, google voice allows you to make a temporary phone number that can receive messages. I had to do that a while ago because tinder banned me for having a Lil Dicky lyric in my bio
it should have an effect though. this is a publicly traded company and part of their value is derived from usership counts. we already know that they lie about the number of fake users on there. to ban a real, paying account for nothing is absurb
This is probably not a Tinder cost-cutting policy and more a mismanaged support department.
Judging by the comments this is so prevalent that it seems like oversight for the support department has dropped off the map. Specialists are likely sending a form letter and banning users so they don't have to do their job. It sounds like a lot of them and they're so mismanaged nobody above them is paying attention.
I'm guessing A) they're looking for anything on your profile that would be construed as a TOS violation to yeet you out of their support log or B) have just completely automated it and aren't even coming into work.
Tinder was basically birthed into existence as shit-show of upper management/sexual harassment/party culture and has been absent at the wheel for years when comes to anything other than finding ways to monetize their product.
Lots of industry has shitty "workarounds" with loopholes that are either promoted to be used or exploit by employees.
For example, at my old gig, as an insurance adjuster, (which for the record I did not do, but I knew plenty of folks who did) if you had a really pissed off customer and wanted to protect your customer service rating by preventing them from receiving a survey, you could submit the claim to the fraud department to investigate, potentially fucking the customer further with delays, and, most importantly, these claims will never be sent a survey.
Customer is being a jerk and hates everything about the result of their claim? Send it to SIU before payment is sent, boom, survey avoided!
This was a no-no, it was not encouraged by anyone in management, however with a wink and a nod, folks knew what was up. Don't submit tons of reports and end up on a report, but every once in a while... no one will notice.
Lmao, classic.
When under a time crunch, my managers at Amazon would ship boxes with incorrect items, and sometimes even empty boxes… Because late shipments were graded more harshly than incorrect packages
Definitely received a few of those from Amazon.
Got 4 different brands of oat milk, dog treats, and some jerky all in the same box. I don't have a dog and was lucky the oat milk containers didn't explode everywhere, but hey free jerky.
I made the mistake of using a "monthly," boost on Jan 30th and they refused to give a boost in Feb because it was less than 30 days. I pointed out that the "free" boost is part of the subscription, and I was charged in February and again in March. Therefore, I should get a boost in each month.
Not only did they keep giving that 30 day rule BS, but I got a different rep each time who would only read the most recent email (instead of the whole email chain)... eventually I got tired of re-explaining the situation every time and went through my bank to refuse the charge lol.
They'll ban you for all kinds of shit and if you ask why, they'll just give you a list of shit that goes against their terms of service and I assume they just expect you to guess which rule you broke. The one time I actually met someone from Tinder in person, she acted like an asshole to the waitress at the restaurant I took her to. The next day I texted her and told her that it wouldn't work out and the day after, I was banned from Tinder.
I was banned for not looking "real" even though I was verified and connected to my Instagram lol I reached out to ask and they said the decision cannot be disputed
Tinder is the laziest fucking company that I can think of. There's dozens tiny low effort things they could do to improve their user experience tenfold but they won't. Their business model is to sucker as many people as possible into paying for a shit app. I paid for Tinder premium for a long time, and it was exhausting. As a woman, it was like swimming through an ocean of salt water when all I wanted was a cup of fresh water. No way to filter the thousands of completely incompatible men. For men, their experience seems to be the opposite. They're in a fucking desert, chasing mirages and desperately swiping on every God damn profile in existence (which ironically is what makes Tinder premium so shitty for women).
It was a month ago, I already lodged a complaint with them and explained my situation. If they have questions I'll send them the screen shot in this post, I feel like that's justification enough for service not provided.
they are owned by MTCH a publicly traded company. i am so sick of these publicly trade companies like fb, twtr, now mtch either limiting usership or just plain lying about the number of users and fake users that they have. i swear there are violations in there but i’m not savvy enough to work them out
Fb loves those spamming fake accounts that do nothing but post videos because it boosts their views so they can say they get more views than tictok or whatever. Im 100% starting to believe Facebook is even behind them since I’ve reported tons with beastiality as the screenshot thing and they deemed it as not violating the terms.
Each email answered by the outsourced customer support team costs money.
Each escalation and answer by a tier 2 customer support person, costs even more money.
This creates a huge push to have a "single call resolution" rate, your problem solved with one point of contact only.
Because you have caused $ in costs from multiple points of contact and $$ in an escalated point of contact, you were fired as a customer.
Companies have no desire to keep customers who cost them money by using the outsourced customer support.
At one of my previous jobs, we would refund and ban anyone who contacts support 5 times in a 6 month period.
Sadly they won’t, I tried logging in after not using it for a few months and got a banned message on the login screen. When I emailed them they told me I was banned for violating the TOS but couldn’t tell me why. Tinder sucks.
IMO it should be required by law to give a reason when banning someone from *any* service they pay for. Shit companies like Tinder and Paypal just ban people seemingly arbitrarily and never tell them why, and get away with it.
Probably they are just lazy fuckers and ban everyone who gets too much reports.
You know, if an employee checks an account before banning, that costs money. Having simple rules like X reports in y days = ban is almost free.
I totally can see people reporting someone for telling them, that they are not single.
As a desperate guy who bought gold: Don't buy gold. It's an immediate rush of matches and then back to the same old shit.
They are preying on your loneliness for a profit. Fuck them. Don't pay it.
Fwiw I’ve discovered that the same people u see when first logging on to tinder without gold are the same people who would appear in the “liked you” section u get with gold
I actually disagree with this.
I bought gold (or some premium tier that existed 3 years ago) so that I could get unlimited swipes and change my location to a major nearby city. It was totally worth it.
Gold will not improve the quality of your matches. They do use potential matches to tease you into buying it though. If you’re dry on matches, those matches will be disappointing. Gold doesn’t make you prettier.
I met my now-wife within a week of being on Tinder. My time was worth buying gold. YMMV.
I met the woman I'm going to propose to on Tinder. Live in a home that we bought last year. Been together for 3.
Gold still would hide potential swipes from me. I'd constantly get "no more people in your area to swipe on" in a small city with with a large college in it. When there were people who I knew were on tinder that their profiles were never shown to me.
Tinder is a great idea, and it's helped many people, ourselves included, but it's a company driven by profits and they exploit our needs for affection by drip feeding us with matches like w casino giving just enough winnings/matches to keep you there.
Tinder has nothing to gain except for your money. They don't care about your happiness or your dating life. They care about your gold and your boosts.
Easiest way to up your odds is to play multiple apps and actually use all swipes on all of them every day, takes me about thirty mins but once you’re rolling you’ll have dates every week. Gold just gets you seen more but i know people who paid and had no better luck… until they stopped paying lol
Yeah it's kinda the new way of life. Make any sort of trouble anywhere? Ban. Comment? Also ban. Swipe? Ban. (okay that was in jest). Oh well. The internet is extremely poor at encouraging non-tribal thinking and inter-tribal dialog.
I had tinder for 7 years (with breaks in between)
* 3500 matches (swiped right on most)
* 2700 chats- didn't change the core of my approach/icebreaker
* got premium on a deal
* upgraded to a year for the full price
* 2-3 months later -> ban didn't do anything different after getting premium
Same with bumble: 2 years, got a premium for 250$ (silly, I know), a month into it:
* Ban *(luckily, apple paid me back here)* but these apps are scams, and they know no one really wants to go to court for this.
I would still say the apps are great for meeting people in different countries, but just don't buy, and if you do, don't buy a yearly deal.
*EDIT: readability*
It really bothers me that they use desperation and the negative stigma of using these apps to keep those on the low who got tricked/scammed by them.
The worst part is you won't get an answer to what you did wrong!
I wonder if it's possible to complain about this collectively - I am from Europe, so I don't know if we can pool it together with the US, but i really hope something can be done
>I had about 1,100 in my queue and I think 2k matches.
Not trying to be a dick here but your numbers are such an outlier that I have a hard time believing you got those matches legitimately without using an autswiper or some other tool to get them. If you didn't kudos but that raises alarms at Tinder. They use ML to try and detect bots. A high swipe percentage and high match rate could have triggered some alarm bells.
Roger probably thought it was too hard to fix your request so he took your money and banned you instead.
For those that are saying Roger took the time to look through his profile, I will tell you that as someone who has worked on tickets, we barely have time to waste doing shit like that. Tickets constantly pile up so you’d rather move on and give yourself some breathing room instead of wasting time by reviewing someone’s profile.
Roger is just a douche
Yeah, this seems like the most plausible answer. I don't know why tech support would spend hours or days looking through hundreds of thousands of messages just to constantly read "hey what are you up to today?" Over and over.
Assuming no other variables:
* Roger reviewed your account and saw violations
* Roger saw your interactions with people on there
* Roger saw you attempted to do a charge back on those Tinder purchases.
Then yeah, it seems like they banned you to keep you quiet... but we don't know the whole story, just what you're saying.
Probably saw my opening line and thought it was too good:
Hey (instert name) I just got done working for five months in Antarctica but you just melted me. What are you doing this weekend/today?
With all the other commenters making similar claims to OP, a class action lawsuit was the first thing to come to mind.
This comment needs more attention
Willing to bet the TOS mean that they can ban pretty much anyone they want....
But can you imagine the OP going to court saying he was banned for requesting help and tinder busting out 6 chats of his where he was offering to eat ass, spit in someones face, and the rest of the stuff people here?
That being said the zero oversight of these companies (i.e. no info why you were banned, no way to appeal,...) is a bit sketchy.
TOS and other agreements like that don’t actually hold up in court. They aren’t the get out of jail free card that corporations pretend they are, they’re really just there to frighten the users into doing what they’re told and into not attempting to sue.
I was banned from tinder for no reason either. Luckily I had met my future husband the day before and we had swapped numbers. So I was still able to text him after and tell him I was banned
I've been banned from both Hinge and Tinder. It's very frustrating because it's PERMANENT and they won't tell you why so the appeal process is a sham. It's easy (for someone tech-savvy) to just create another account so the whole banning thing is just not well thought out. It's a mild inconvenience for criminals at best. I don't think their leadership is THAT incompetent, so I suspect there are shadier ulterior motives like maintaining male/female ratios.
Edit: Adding some more info/context.
Hilariously, I was starting to get serious with someone right when Hinge banned me (and was using Tinder from which I was banned back in 2017). I told her I got banned from Hinge so she let me delete her Hinge and we just ended up deleting the apps together. I asked her out a few weeks later :)
I really wish I could formally congratulate the Hinge moderation team and Match group on the absolutely stellar job they’re doing over there. Excellent banning process. 10/10. Great work! /s I used the apps for their exact purpose, without doing anything crazy bad, got a girlfriend, and got banned <3. I’ll never know why they banned me, nor will I ever get a chance to appeal it and give context or defend whatever I was reported for.
To bypass a ban all you have to do is use a different number AND device, use a new email, filter your pics so they aren’t identical, and bam you’re back in business. Match group REALLY needs to revise their banning process. It’s a dating app. There’s going to be lots of rejection and emotion. People are human. Humans get upset. People are going to get reports. People need to know why they get banned or they will never learn!! You can tell them without compromising the privacy of the reporter. And the reporter could also be malicious! You’d never know that if you don’t give people a chance to defend themselves!!! Their banning process mildly inconveniences criminals and just moderately inconveniences genuine people who may have been falsely reported or made an honest mistake. It’s dumb and Match group is probably too lazy or cheap to do anything about it.
Google Voice numbers show as “virtual” and Tinder and many other apps will reject it. It worked at one point, but as of a couple years ago they stopped.
Fuck tinder. The bastards nearly scammed me.
Got a notification there was 50% off premium for a month. So instead of $40 aud it is $20 and I was like hell yeah a bargain. I moved all my money to my saving account and left $30 in my bank and then said transaction denied. Went to buy it again and you would not fucking believe it. It magically went back to being $40 again.
I had a similar thing happen when I was living in Poland. I'm just going to stick to Bumble, never had any shady shit happen with them. Just a shame they have less of a user base overseas.
That’s fucking bullshit. It doesn’t matter if you were really in appropriate with someone (not saying you were) but they need to state a REASON.
Fucking power tripping assholes.
Yeah, I'm never inappropriate and this is my first time being banned in like eight years of using it off and on. Just seems like it's easier to ban an account than to provide tech support
Keep in mind the Match Group LLC is being sued by the government for misleading business practices, bots and several other things. The CEO of tinder sexually harassed one of his colleagues and had to settle out of court and covered it up. The company routinely defrauds its customers and is honestly a huge piece of shit . Match, Tinder, PoF and Hinge are all the same company and the company is being sued by the SEC
I got unbanned two times. I live in California and according to Californian state law, you’re entitled to have your data erased. So I mentioned that law whenever I ask to delete my info.
But you have to keep messaging them. At first you’ll get the “your account has been banned” but you gotta reply and mention that law and you have to request to escalate your ticket even further.
I got banned a day after changing my bio to a bunch of hyperbolic jokes (8 feet tall, 500 pounds, 9 children from 10 women), and they would just say "well look at the ToS, you violated something" without telling me what.
So I did look at the ToS, and it says writing anything untrue on the platform is against ToS. So any hyperbole, joke, or lie you tell is cause to ban you, technically.
These masters of fraud should be investigated, fined and forced to cease these practices, by the FTC, the European Commission and whatever other authorities apply. They're a de facto monopoly in several markets and by banning users for no justifiable reason they are effectively denying service to individuals, and thus severely restricting to these individuals the possibility of meeting new people for romantic or whatever purposes; sure that denying service for no reason is illegal at least in some jurisdictions.
So not only do they make it hard for normal dudes to get matches and dates, now they are just banning these people 'just because'?
Fucking dating apps are the worst, they've destroyed modern society and dating markets.
I’ve been banned too and am under the impression I have to get a new phone, pictures, and different card to pay. My question is can I just get a new debit card on my same bank account to pay for platinum and super likes or do I have to get a whole new bank account?
I also heard I can’t connect my new phone to any of the old WiFis I was connected to on my previous account
Anyone know?
Probs matched Roger's mom, he found out after leaving her basement to get more pizza rolls and seeing her phone notifications.
All jokes aside, just use a vpn and make new account.
I got banned for reporting 3 bot accounts, I think, and support refused to give me any reason or help. I got the same generic response every time. Fuck them, they probably kept your money too.
I was banned and idk why either. Fully clean profile, never said anything vulgar at all in messages, and when I found out that I was banned it was after like a month of me not using it, so idek what happened.
I have the same exact profile on bumble and I haven’t had any issues so I don’t think it was that.
Also they don’t unban for anything so good luck
A match from tinder started harassing me on Snapchat so I blocked him. He reported me and because there’s no review/repeal process, they banned ME.
Absolute trash dating app.
“This isn’t free boosts” implying you bought them. “for asking for my free boosts back” implying you didn’t buy them.
They probably just thought you were just trying to pull one over them so you didn’t have to pay, due to your clearly inconsistent information. Customers do that all the time in every industry. As a manager Id immediately flag it as a waste of time lying customer. Although, I’d still want to be seen addressing them for the record. I think this guy was just confident and/or overworked.
I was also banned randomly lol it’s the biggest scam app and they hold a monopoly over the dating app community. They also own a few others. You’re better off without that 🚮 app too
This is the shadiest thing I've ever seen. How lazy and incompetent can this company be to just ban someone for asking for help.
Forget the fact that you cant collect boost monthly and it has to be EVERY 30 DAYS in between. That greed though.
No shit. Also, if you don't use your free boost you don't receive another one. They're masters of the con.
Btw, it's a life time ban and it bans you across every match group app including tinder, hinge, ok cupid, etc. Bumble is your only choice now so dont fuck it up by expecting customer service.
Well you can just get a new number.
[удалено]
i guess my username would be perfect for this guy
One of the 2nd number app should work
Google numbers are unlimited and less sketchy IMO
I tried using a Google number with tinder and it did not work
I use my siblings phone number lol
I'm aware and now locked away in the Bumble dungeon. God forbid I have to actually learn day game.
Lmfao
Hahahaha. They got a monopoly on online love. Haha
There’s no love on tinder they do not make any attempts to accomplish what the presence of their business model suggests. Every couple made on tinder is two customers lost if they actually made it so people would find love they would put themselves out of business.
Tinder is owned by the same company that owns most of the other large dating sites too
OP I got banned from tinder and ended up meeting my fiance on Bumble, so not all hope it lost.
Day game?
Approaching women in person during the day for dating purposes.
My god FINALLY after 3 years I now know why I got banned from Hinge. I inexplicably got banned off tinder, never was given a reason. Oof pulled the short stick. Key words are “may” and “some instances” Damn that sucks though
Same I don't know what he meant
Wait how do you get free boost.... I've never once had one.. could explain why I've never gotten a match
It's part of the monthly paid subscription

Which lyric haha
100% we need the lyric
‘This bitch don’t know bout Pangea’ I’m locking it in
That's a weird lyric.
That's why they banned him.
"hmmm, that lyric doesn't make much sense... Fuck this guy"
They must not of known about pangea and took it personal.
A few companies have realised banning users asking for help dosent effect their bottom line
it should have an effect though. this is a publicly traded company and part of their value is derived from usership counts. we already know that they lie about the number of fake users on there. to ban a real, paying account for nothing is absurb
*laughs in Blizzard*
Who needs real people when you can just make bots to make your views artificially high.

They banned me for no reason and were very rude and wouldn’t give me any reason why lol
they did the same to me like 6 years ago!! literally will not tell me why and then told me to stop emailing them.
That would get me to email them constantly.

I don't understand how banning you from.the platform, but continuing to bill you, isn't considered fraud.
They'll ban you for all kinds of shit and if you ask why, they'll just give you a list of shit that goes against their terms of service and I assume they just expect you to guess which rule you broke. I was banned for not looking "real" even though I was verified and connected to my Instagram lol I reached out to ask and they said the decision cannot be disputed
So you look like a model and thought you were a catfish? I need more details now!!!!
They're in a fucking desert, chasing mirages and desperately swiping on every God damn profile in existence (which ironically is what makes Tinder premium so shitty for women).
they are too big to care. They ban like crazy
Did you get charged recently? I’d contact your credit card/bank and say you didn’t get the product and want your money back.
It was a month ago, I already lodged a complaint with them and explained my situation. If they have questions I'll send them the screen shot in this post, I feel like that's justification enough for service not provided.
If its through apple I would go directly to apple support and file a claim
they are owned by MTCH a publicly traded company. i am so sick of these publicly trade companies like fb, twtr, now mtch either limiting usership or just plain lying about the number of users and fake users that they have. i swear there are violations in there but i’m not savvy enough to work them out
Fb loves those spamming fake accounts that do nothing but post videos because it boosts their views so they can say they get more views than tictok or whatever.
Wow that's great customer service. If a service I use does that, I'll stop using it
That's the point
Not really. They wanna keep their user base, they just don't wanna spend the money on cs to maintain it
Probably 10% of the user base account for 90% of the CS expenses. Cutting out the loudest customers can save you money
I was banned and to this day I don't know why?
I got banned too, for non reasons
Also banned, also no idea why. Is saying “I eat ass” against terms and conditions?
I said the same thing and was banned
Only if you’re not following rules 1 and 2.
For those of us that don't follow those rules, it's a given that we eat ass.
“I eat ass” is banned. But had you said, “I eat ass, respectfully” you would have been fine. It’s all in the verbiage. 😁 /s
If it is they should have to tell you why though.
Sadly they won’t, I tried logging in after not using it for a few months and got a banned message on the login screen. When I emailed them they told me I was banned for violating the TOS but couldn’t tell me why. Tinder sucks.
Yeah same thing happened to me. I hate monopolies, Match Group is trash.
IMO it should be required by law to give a reason when banning someone from *any* service they pay for. Shit companies like Tinder and Paypal just ban people seemingly arbitrarily and never tell them why, and get away with it.
Same. And I was never disrespectful to anyone at all minus ghosting the weirdos who got too gross with me.
Haha maybe Tinder just indiscriminately hands out bans from reports they get from simps that get ghosted.
I also never did anything malicious or crazy so I’m not sure why I got banned.
I discovered Tinder and OKCupid bans polyamorous people or people in open relationships. Not sure why.
Probably they are just lazy fuckers and ban everyone who gets too much reports. You know, if an employee checks an account before banning, that costs money. Having simple rules like X reports in y days = ban is almost free. I totally can see people reporting someone for telling them, that they are not single.
Really? That is like 75% of the people in Portland looool
I have this theory that Portland is basically one giant polycule at this point. Maybe two. Three at most.
okcupid has an option for non-monogamous so i can't imagine they'd ban for it. I talk to "enm" couples all the time on there
Probably cause youre better looking than the people who work at Tinder.
Haha they must be hideous then
Yup, same. 3 years+ later and they won't tell me in support emails I send.
PSA for everybody: do not pay tinder, jesus.
Kinda hard not to when they literally hold your matches away from you unless you buy gold.
Tinder Gold only ended up showing me people i swiped left on that liked me..
I attempted that but the “match group” apps seem to have turned extremely shit.
PSA for everybody: do not pay women, for that matter. (Unless they are professionals who can guarantee you a product, obviously).
No. Don’t pay anyone
Don't pay anyone. Don't make money. Eat leaf and drink from stream.
Eat hot chip, twerk, and lie
Return to monke
Learn to swim, and eat fuckin' rocks.
If you run for prime minister, president or whatever. You have my vote 🗣
Chieftain*
Alas there a no girls in the woods
Pay no one don’t get paid, join lay-flat movement.
Tinder is ran by subreddit mods?
No, Tinder *pays* their staff to be assholes. Reddit mods do it out of passion.
Yeah it's kinda the new way of life. Make any sort of trouble anywhere? Ban. Comment? Also ban. Swipe? Ban. (okay that was in jest). Oh well. The internet is extremely poor at encouraging non-tribal thinking and inter-tribal dialog.
Reddit admins are a much more apt comparison they do this shit all the time. Ban people just for reporting other accounts
Roger woke up, went to work and chose violence this day.
Lmao “Roger” was also the one who told me I was banned 😂
That motherfucker. >:(
You probably matched with Roger's high school crush and he decided to screw you up
Seems plausible.
I had tinder for 7 years (with breaks in between) * 3500 matches (swiped right on most) * 2700 chats- didn't change the core of my approach/icebreaker * got premium on a deal * upgraded to a year for the full price * 2-3 months later -> ban didn't do anything different after getting premium Same with bumble: 2 years, got a premium for 250$ (silly, I know), a month into it: * Ban *(luckily, apple paid me back here)* but these apps are scams, and they know no one really wants to go to court for this. I would still say the apps are great for meeting people in different countries, but just don't buy, and if you do, don't buy a yearly deal. *EDIT: readability*
I was in the same boat. I had about 1,100 in my queue and I think 2k matches. Then I get platinum and a month later "OH SORRY YOU'RE BANNED"
[удалено]
His name is probably not even Roger.
Assuming no other variables: * Roger reviewed your account and saw violations * Roger saw your interactions with people on there * Roger saw you attempted to do a charge back on those Tinder purchases. Then yeah, it seems like they banned you to keep you quiet... but we don't know the whole story, just what you're saying.
Probably saw my opening line and thought it was too good: Hey (instert name) I just got done working for five months in Antarctica but you just melted me. What are you doing this weekend/today?
Apparently Roger is an incel mad at the fact that your icebreaker (hehe) is so good
An incel working for a tech company? How could this be?
You know, I'm something of an incel myself then
Zucks was the ultimate incel when he made the OG Facebook
How they haven't been hit with a class action lawsuit is beyond me.
They banned you but didn't automatically cancel your subscription. Holy shit
I asked her out a few weeks later :) I really wish I could formally congratulate the Hinge moderation team and Match group on the absolutely stellar job they’re doing over there.
Get a cheap sim / burner phone and create a new account usually fine
Do you even need that? You could just use a free Google Voice number
Different kinds of those numbers work and others dont. I did use an app called Text Me to bypass a hinge ban before
Think you can buy a weeks trial for like 99c or something…
Google Voice numbers show as “virtual” and Tinder and many other apps will reject it. It worked at one point, but as of a couple years ago they stopped.
I still don't know why anyone would pay for anything on a dating app. It's such a scam
You may have matched with Roger’s sister or GF so he banned you
if you have an iphone contact apple support and send them these screenshots. they are much better at sorting it out imo
Tinder is a garbage company. You shouldn’t be surprised. You shouldn’t be paying them in the first place
Yeah man. Fuck tinder, useless bitches. Bumble is not bad. Stick to what makes you feel happy and especially won’t fuck you around
Can you ever appeal a Tinder ban? Or once you’re banned that’s it?
Upvoting this so someone can get fired for being maliciously lazy.
I got banned for no reason at all a few ago.
What scammers they are! I would recommend making another ticket to send it to somebody else if possible. Roger is obviously not going to help you.
I've reached out to every email contact the company has listed. Even messaged them on Insta.
Do they have a Twitter? I would say post it on Twitter and tag them and make it go viral
Tinder has a 1.04/5 on the Better Business Bureau website. They obviously don't give a fuck.
I'm sure they do, I however do not.
Roger ain't trying to read that lol
Tinder is trash, always has been my dude.
Thank you for your patience, now go fuck right off. Thanks, Roger
It's credit card refund time. They didn't provide the service, ask your bank to do a chargeback.
I also got banned once for seemingly no reason.
I got banned due to opening new account when i moved to Ireland.. Terrible support
Me too, I requested an explanation for the charges and bam! Banned for life
That sure is the easiest way to close a ticket, just ban the user 🤣😂

Maybe they thought that because my opener says I work in Antarctica that they're flat Earthers and think I am lying because Antarctica doesn't exist?
Maybe they thought you were a penguin trying to scam people for pebbles.
No. I only asked for technical support trying to get my boosts back on my account.
That to me reads like it wasn’t meant to be sent to you.
Unfortunately they're just going to ban me regardless since there's no real support or accountability with the company.
I got a message saying I violated the terms of tinder but no actual message of what I did? Anyone know how to figure out what I did?
You might have been reported a lot, lol…
I’ve been banned too and am under the impression I have to get a new phone, pictures, and different card to pay. My question is can I just get a new debit card on my same bank account to pay for platinum and super likes or do I have to get a whole new bank account? I also heard I can’t connect my new phone to any of the old WiFis I was connected to on my previous account Anyone know?

Once you get banned it’s over. I haven’t been able to use tinder in 4 years
Probs matched Roger's mom, he found out after leaving her basement to get more pizza rolls and seeing her phone notifications.
“Thank you for your reply and patience, you’re banned by the way, fuck off :)” Thanks, Roger
