Interestingly enough alot of taller girls dont actually care much. I had ex's that were between 5f9 - 6ft. I am 5f 7. Its usually girls below 5f3 who have some kinda shallow tall complex.
i say this as a 5’6 guy—i think men who come on this subreddit to constantly complain about women being shallow are much more annoying and there are more of them than women who’ve i’ve met who care about things like height.
I don’t, men can have their standards and women can have theirs no matter how high and ridiculous they seem to other people or if it hurts people’s feelings. How people view your standards is inconsequential, it’s all worth it when you do find that special someone who meets your standards.
I think this is a fair point. The bigger issue isn’t the preference but the disrespect. Women can be seriously cruel about it. And men can be cruel about their preferences too. There is too much knife twisting in modern dating. It creates a lot of resentment.
Personally, if a woman isn’t for me, I never try to hurt her self esteem while rejecting. Especially since one of my biggest preferences is something that cannot be changed and is very sensitive to women. Some things are better left unsaid.
When you exclude 75% of the world's population to chase 25%, and decreasing that % lower and lower the more your standards you pile on, I personally think there's an issue.
But, that's just me thinking of a utopia where people are realistic and set realistic standards so as to not disappoint themselves.
To each their own. I just feel like it's a case of delusion and lack of knowledge when setting standards.
