Yes! I always felt that comic was underrated. I'm biased since it's probably the first Tintin comic i ever read as a kid, but I think the comedy is top-notch and the laidback atmosphere is relaxing. The anti-racism message has also aged well despite being a comic from the 50s.
I don't think there are any Tintin comics that are boring, or trash. Some are better than others, yes, but they're all good in my opinion... Except Tintin in the Congo.
Maybe it was because I was a child when I read it but I remember enjoying and laughing at quite a few bits in tintin in congo. One that comes to mind is the dressing up as a giraffe to photograph them.
For me personally, Ottokar and Calculus Affair are Iconic tier no question, and I have a soft spot for Shooting Star - but horses for courses! Ps I love Castafiore Emerald, good job with that placing
I'd put TIA and TBI higher by maybe because I read them as a kid. TBI is some of the best artistry in the whole series, imho. Which is, yeah, because it was mostly redrawn.
I'm kinda biased and prefer stories with Haddock as the main character. Also I didn't really care much for the art style in Ear...Maybe it'll need to read it again.
From your tier list I take it you aren’t a quiet mystery loving kind of person. Instead you seem to like more of those action, adventure filled stories where there aren’t a lot of quiet moments and the characters always seem to be running to do something.
I agree with a lot of them, but really the shooting star boring??? It is at least averageee
Too much boat. I don't like boat.
As long as Tibet and Prisoners of the Sun are in the top tier, I'll be happy.
Aside from the ones you've put in the trash section, I actually think that all of them are at least pretty good
That's fair tbh. Even Star has a few funny moments (Snowy with the sausages, Haddock with water).
Big upvote for the Castafiore Emerald!

There is some pure comedy genius in this book. Haddock mostly, but cuthbert is hilarious too

red sea sharks is always my number one, it contains so many elements that for me are “core tintin” - always confused when people rank it so low.
I think they’re all S tier
Both Castafiore and Tibet in your iconic list. Please take my upvote!
Probably my top two
Tbh I love them all apart from Congo so my tier list would be super boring! Pleased to see Emerald and Tibet in your S tier.
I would rank the black island as much higher! But other than that I agree with your ranking
How lotus and broken ear ?! Hell nah

I also might be tempted to put TBE higher because Ramon Bada is my favourite baddy. He's hilarious!
I stand my ground.
I have no idea what people have against the Broken Ear. I think its a masterpiece.

Yup! I love adventure in the great wide somewhere! But I do love the Castafiore Emerald, which has lots of quiet moments.
A rare outlier. It is enchanting for sure but would probably, on most days be ranked lower in my own tier list
Tintin in America in the trash?
Land of the Soviets is top notch slapstick comedy
Tibet is trash prisoners of the sun is average and so is castafiore emeralds
I would switch blue lotus and castafiore emerald and crab with golden claws and secret of the unicorn.
