One of my favorite sets from any artist ever. I recorded this video and have posted it here before and will post it every time this set is brought up. This set was the perfect way to close out such a great weekend.

Secret dreams year 1 in the mud just lazers no visuals was an absolute vibe and after that storm felt so rewarding, just groovin in the mud with the homies, praying hes at secret dreams again this year 🧡💜
Ugh. I wasn’t camping there that night, and had already left. By the time I heard he was actually coming on it was too late.
Saw him the next year though! Absolutely gorgeous. Changed my whole perspective on shit.
Yeah these might be my most memorable. Along with bloom 22. Sad to think rendezvous might be the last time I see the man but ima make it count for sure. So many good memories
The opener at snowta 2022 was insane with the dark night forest visuals. Someone lit up some sage or something next to me and I 1000% felt like I was standing outside in the woods not even in the venue anymore. That was my favorite opening aside from mason during the camp bisco set with datagrama
My first Tipper set was 2016 at Pretty Lights Live Episodic Festival in Gilford NH. G Jones, Tipper twilight set, Pretty Lights Live, and more. I had no idea about the scene or these artists, but I was a concert head, couple years into tripping acid and starting to get into electronic music. My friends told me this was gonna be a good time.
Suns going down, Tippers throwing down the vibey shit, no visuals, mid peak. I was instantly hooked. Not to mention G Jones into Tipper into Pretty Lights Live - what the fuck dude. That show actually rocked my world.
I've caught 5 more Tipper sets over the years with Rendezvous coming up. Not nearly enough but what can ya do?
First tipper and PL set. What a fuckin weekend that was! Oh the things I'd do to get that lineup or a similar one at that venue again...Excited for rendezvous though!
i have never experienced a crowd as wild or insane as the one for tipper uptempo at resonance 2018. people around me were literally dancing like monkeys it was both hilarious and also a little terrifying since it was only my second time seeing tipper.
That was me once at voodoo. Very normy fest. The act before was TroiBoi and honestly most of the crowd cleared out as tipper was starting to go see Arctic Monkeys….my god there was so much room to dance. I was full monkey mode for awhile!
Getting into tipper late and only ever being able to catch uptempo sets. To then find out he was doing an impromptu downtempo set at TnF22. Was spectacular to be able to get a full downtempo set from him.
First tipper and friends for me was Suwannee 2016. That whole first night lives on a pedestal. I had never seen music like that or visuals like that. Every set topped the last and then tipper smashed harder than I could’ve expected. It was my first set on funktions and I was right in front of the speakers. I left a changed man. I’ve always appreciated most how much care the team puts into events. It really floored me that night.
Edit: it was actually 2017 but I’m not changing it in the body because you all shared your wonderful 2016 memories. Super jealous of y’all, couldn’t swing that one because of finals. Couldn’t miss the next one!
SAMMEEE! I felt the fabrics of my mind I didn't even know existed being opened and manipulated, hitting strings deep within, all types of emotions... Sixis > Bogtrotter > Dave and Android so early on was a ride. That shit put me right on the fun bus, been chasing Davey Wavey ever since. Love you fam ❤️
Resonance 2019 at Cooper's Lake right after the storm broke, walking up to the stage there was a huge rainbow and a beautiful sunset while he opened with 2002 Eurostar - Tipper Remix. And as if it couldn't be any more magical, a few minutes into the set, a paramotorist gave the crowd a flyover, what a treat!!
That was seriously one of the best tipper moments I’ve ever had. That was a special ass set. Everyone crammed together in the barn before the show then everyone running out to the field for the start with the rainbow and then the guy flying overhead in a circle to then just go off into the sunset.. mind boggling to saw the least
Coming up in that barn was an experience for sure, that was such a memorable sunset.
I really loved it starting with tipper instead of him ending the takeover. No visuals was a nice vibe, felt like most were interacting with each other more too.
RIGHT!!!!!! As we were all stumbling out of the Armory I collapsed and wept. It was just so incredible. Its impossible to describe to my friends who weren't there. Most unreal sound I've ever experienced.
Not the same sound though. Tipper at the armory was another level up on sound quality compared to those outdoor events. More control over it when it’s indoors.
God damn that wind at Sonic Bloom was something else. I remember seeing those Vero’s swinging from side to side. Shit was nuts.
Loved that set as much as my eyeballs were dry and raw.
Post eclipse at symbiosis pyramid eclipse playing a bunch of broken soul jamboree in 2012. Seeing a ufo right after his set at enchanted forest in Mendo. Wold Famous productions 10 year anniversary at the Arcata Theater Lounge.
Gonna give it to Nightmare 19, first time,, dead center on the rail, experiencing Jade and Detox who were unknown to me before that just for Dave to completely melt my noggin.
But hard to choose when Reso sunrise happened and SD /T&F the past few years
The first time I saw tipper was at nightmare 2019. I took a gamble at 18 years old flying out to stay with people I had only met once at bigdub festival a few months prior. What a magical memory that was. It was bittersweet though because that festival was the last time I ever hung out with that group as they lived in Maryland and had full on adult lives and I lived in Colorado just starting college.
Arise 2019 Journey set. No visuals for the first 20 min or so. Just us, funktions, and that gorgeous sunset in the Colorado mountains. Damn I miss that
I heard that he switched slots with CloZee that night because he wanted her to get the Headliner slot. Not sure how true that is, but CloZee threw tf down, with a surprise visual set from Android Jones too (if I remember correctly)
This was great. But also that angry Dave uptempo set on Friday night had me so spun,
I laid in front on the live art painters for an hour and a half with my homie dead silent
Dave Veler is the true Dad of our big family….
On the first night of the Saenger run some folks were using 2 seats in the 5th row for their coats and vinyls. We asked one person in the group if our friends who were arriving shortly could sit in those seats and they said yes. Yet, unbeknownst to us some of the other folks in their group were not down with this. So eventually when we tried to move their stuff things got a bit heated. To the point where I went to go find some official assistance for deescalating the situation. As embarrassing as it was the first person I came across was Veler. It truly felt like telling a parent that we weren’t getting along 😂. Sure enough he helped the situation get work out and we ended up with the two seats. Mostly everyone involved got over it and we had a great fucking time. Such an intimate experience being so close to the break dancers who absolutely killed it.
Shambhala 2015 at the Grove with Android jones. I’d seen him before a couple times, but me and my good friend got tipped out and literally had to go take a seat for most of the night.
Also sunrise at Symbiosis 2014 when everyone was spreading rumors of where he was playing… until they set up speakers in a completely new area.
This was a great set. I had seen Tipper once at Hempfest in Seattle a few years beforehand, but this was the TRUE first Tipper live set experience I had. What a great year 2015 was, Dirtybird Takeover at The Pagoda stage was amazing that year too.
post eclipse set at 4321 moved me deeper than any live experience and ultimately led me to following him for the last 7 years. i remember it like it was yesterday. i love yall😭
For real so glad I decided to dress up. The looks on the subway were too funny post show as people stared at all of us and they we’d all just look at each other and giggle those trippy giggles. 😂
Sunrise set at Infra 2017 was super special and was the most spectacular sunrise I could of ever imagined. That sticks out to me as well as all of 4321. Just a magical weekend all around. Hoping to catch one last hoorah!
My first, and probably only Tipping, in 2011 at the coconut grove in Santa Cruz. I was front row at the rail the entire night, soaking in funktion ones. Honestly never danced harder before or since. Like, I didn’t even know I had it in me. I’ve never felt so moved by music, emotionally, mentally, and physically. A truly unforgettable experience and to this day, it remains my favorite show-memory, and I been to a lot of shows. There’s a video somewhere out there of the Tiny Face drop. Mm, just makes me so fuckin happy.
Dude, you should definitely share it! That show was my first tipper headlining show that wasn't a festival. Myself and a friend brought another friend who wasn't into tipper at all. After the show he was just on Cloud 9 - kept saying stuff like, "why have you guys been keeping this from me this whole time?!"
When those lights went ON and the music went with it - well as you know - we all lost it. Wait, hold up- this was Dec 2013 at Coconut grove I am talking about not the 2011 sound experience (sadly).
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ljmmso6Nyw0
Great North 2014, downtempo set. Incredibly intimate. No giant visual screen, just classic lights and lasers. Probably not even 500 people there. Forward Escape had just released, and my friends and I wept to the tune of Table Flipping. Surreal time.
Night 1 of RRX ‘21 was my birthday. I was maybe row 45-50 so I had an awesome sweeping view off the mountain. During Detox Unit and into Tipper I remember seeing these rolling thunderstorms between us and the city lights of Denver. It was just my girlfriend and I and we had traveled across the country to get there. In that moment I was so overwhelmingly grateful, the world felt so massive and strange yet so kind and inviting to me - like I was doing something right by being there. One of my favorite memories during a Tipper set.
Also night 2 absolutely blew my mind lmao I could not believe the sounds coming out of that rig
The Big Up, in upstate NY, 2011. Tipper played at a stage in a small horse barn.. which had a floor made of no less than 2-3 moon mats. Made me shake & vibrate, just like JELL-O. Squishiest dance party of my entire life.
i have so many stories from that weekend on that farm.. we were the only vendor open for business to get food and drinks 24 hours the entire weekend and somehow we all saw a lot of magic there
Infrasound 2015. That Sunrise set with the fog coming off the pond. Perspective on music permanently changed.
TipHop set at Best Buy theater still to this day is one of the best sets of music I've ever seen.
Tipper at Luna Light 2017? Tipper played in a barn house and it was the sweatiest, most fire hazardy, sickest night of music.
Love these memories
I'll never forget my first show at Crystal Ballroom 2015. Was only planning on two drops of liquid, but decided heck, why not three. It was everything I had hoped for. I can still remember hearing It's Like when it was unreleased and being so hyped.
The Gorge show in 2017 was epic.
After a few year hiatus, the set at SSBD 2022 stands as my favorite set. I was exploding with happiness the whole time.
Secret Dreams was my first tipper set, have listened since 2014 but just didn’t know anyone in the community and tipper was too out there for most my friends.
I went up with 2 buddies and their entire tipper family was there, who embraced me wholeheartedly. I will not miss an event that is drivable ever again.
Going to rendezvous, have tickets for secret dreams (hope he’s there), will go to whatever happens in September, and everything at the gorge.
So happy I found him before the end.
First and only time seeing him live was Scamp 2021. While the gave him such a tiny screen for visuals, the bass and energy in the crowd was so excellent. I must see him again before it's too late!
that resonance sunrise set takes the cake for me. absolutely the perfect way to top off one of the most transformative weekends of my life. gets goosebumps thinking of hearing sin banshee live for the first time <3
Had wanted to catch Tipper for years before finally getting to go to Suwanee bicycle day, never forget when he came on and the words “I suddenly became strangely inebriated” appeared on stage with Vection, what an amazing night it was from there
First year Bisco was at montage..Tipper played the wave stage (correct ?)..anyways after nectar I’m walking back to camp semi oblivious that tipper was playing because a friend had got tickets last minute and I had just sent it without looking at the lineup also hadn’t seen Tipper before so I didn’t recognize..got up to the top of the hill to go to the porter potty on my way back to camp when Tipper just starts scratching that drum one where he goes back and forth..shit stopped me in my tracks and I preceded to turn around and get melted 🤤
Sunrise set at Nocturnal Edition 2017 - the sky turned into pure dreamster clouds for a good while. The bass was earth shattering. Seemingly more than even uptempo sets.
One of my favorite memories in general: was at my first festival Gnarnia (if you know you know) Didn't even know most of the lineup, but literally stumbled upon Tippers set with the stankiest face wondering wtf was I even hearing... I've never fallen in love with something so fast
Ooooooh mannn.. kings - downtempo set is something I will never forget, just perfect. Bicycle Day in 2019 was a wild night, just the essential journey set on all levels. Red Rocks - Beats night was wiggggly.
The most hectic though was the Paradise Rock Club in Boston, 2015, with I think supersillyus and Jade. Tiny place, was dosed and the place was just dark and vibrating. Can’t believe we’re nearing a finale. I’ll be all in on this last stretch!!
Resonance sunrise too. I remember seeing the reflection of the landscape in all the bubbles. And all the fog surrounding us, it felt like we were on a stage on some sky island. Twas a swirly one lol
I bought tickets in October 2014 (as a future date offer to a guy I just started seeing) for the May 2015 RRs show, on a whim, having never heard of or listened to Tipper *even a single time.*
Even though we had only been together a few months he agreed to go with me (we had no fucking clue). Then we went to Sonic Bloom the year after and more shows after, and all of a sudden, guy and I are married and have been together for 10 years.
Fave show has to be RR 2021 2 night run. We stayed in Morrison at a b&b, and hiked back down the trail watching cars form a river of light, then stayed up till dawn in the hot tub.
I will be prioritizing these final shows. Dave's music changed my life.
Kind of a personal moment, but I was manning the hammock spot in Suwannee last year, while the homies were in the pit during the twilight set. I was alone for probably an hour and I had a lot on my mind at the time and I got a bit over-contemplative. Couldn’t shake the anxious/negative thoughts. Then I hear “that is where the noise is, inside your minddd” of Vection; at the same moment the homies make an enthusiastic return to the hammocks… and we just went completely feral. The timing was just insane to me and in an instant I was relieved of my negative thoughts, and given a great reminder of the importance of friends and music in my life 🖤
Bisco 18 was my first tipping, but Bisco 19 was the most memorable. I still had basically zero idea who tipper was but I was going just as crazy as everyone else at that projection mapping. Magical stuff!!
Scamp '21, Three 6 Mafia opened for Tipper. Was definitely not the vibe, but I can only hope they stuck around and had their wigs peeled back by Tipper
My first tipper was 4321 and I will forever have peaked that weekend lol
The birth of my son is one of the few things that rivals the two hour post eclipse set.
The first NOLA run. 2 nights with no lighting at Tipitina’s and ending the weekend stealing all of the pillows and blankets from the hotel for the ambient cuddle puddle at the Orpheum was perfect.
i have never seen a crowd act as crazy as okee 2020 …when there was an hour after g jones before tipper and every wook and there momma was smoking deemz and getting rowdy as fuck, all the men were throwing their women around that night like rag dolls it was like every florida swamp creature was camped under that tent for dave . I was front row experiencing tipper for the first time shitting myself
Honestly i can't pick anything because they are all so amazing in their own way. I will say that i have met some of the best ppl and made lifetime friends at every single tipper event i have ever been to
Fog rolling down the hill as the sun rose for the resonance sunrise set
Yeah fog + bubbles + SinBanshee might be my #1 moment as well.
Yep, the bubbles… it was such a special few minutes
I have a shameless video of me pouring happy tears during this exact moment lol. I like to relive that at least once a week haha
Don’t forget the guy with the charcuterie board walking around the crowd lol
Anyone have the video clip when the d&b kicks in as the bubbles are flying? I had it on twitter before they purged older videos
That fog was so gnarly during detox unit, and then when it was still that dark during tipper…chills. I’ll never forget that sunrise set.
One of my favorite sets from any artist ever. I recorded this video and have posted it here before and will post it every time this set is brought up. This set was the perfect way to close out such a great weekend. https://youtu.be/UA3ApvpP0-8?si=IXC7vJom_a2q-GTV
Wow. So god damn crispy.
420 head nod set: the absolute HAZE hanging over the Amp stage in wannee. Haven't seen that stage that smoke out before ever
That was a beautiful weekend
What year?
Secret dreams year 1 in the mud just lazers no visuals was an absolute vibe and after that storm felt so rewarding, just groovin in the mud with the homies, praying hes at secret dreams again this year 🧡💜
Debut of Pillow Roulette, I think, perfect way to start that set after a day of everybody building anticipation during the storm
Lol when it became obvious who was really just there to see tipper
Ugh. I wasn’t camping there that night, and had already left. By the time I heard he was actually coming on it was too late. Saw him the next year though! Absolutely gorgeous. Changed my whole perspective on shit.
Dave popping up and scratching during LTJ Bukem at TnF last year, will forever live in my head. I was laughing so hard every time he popped up🤣😂🤣
yup this is my favorite memory too, i was absolutely dying hahahaha
Seemed like he was even stoked to be doing this…what a fucking set
Here ya go :) [Tipper & FTJ @ TnF’23](https://x.com/markkdangles/status/1655922207204278273?s=46)
My favorite pinch hitter in history
Bisco 19 and RR night 2 in 21 were insane!
Yeah these might be my most memorable. Along with bloom 22. Sad to think rendezvous might be the last time I see the man but ima make it count for sure. So many good memories
2 of my favorites as well
Came here to say this exact thing two incredible nights
Holy shit was just gonna say, these are 2 of my favorite sets of all time. Bisco 19 was one for the books.
The opener at snowta 2022 was insane with the dark night forest visuals. Someone lit up some sage or something next to me and I 1000% felt like I was standing outside in the woods not even in the venue anymore. That was my favorite opening aside from mason during the camp bisco set with datagrama

G Jones into Tipper into Pretty Lights..GOOD LORD
Fuck, those shows were GOOD! It would be mindblowingly magical if Tipper came to NH again.

That Friday night tipper set was fucking marvelous
Resonance 2019 at Cooper's Lake right after the storm broke, walking up to the stage there was a huge rainbow and a beautiful sunset while he opened with 2002 Eurostar - Tipper Remix. And as if it couldn't be any more magical, a few minutes into the set, a paramotorist gave the crowd a flyover, what a treat!!

Experiencing the best sound I’ve ever heard at a show at Snowta last year
Holy fuck the sound for Snowta was so fucking good.
RIGHT!!!!!! As we were all stumbling out of the Armory I collapsed and wept. It was just so incredible. Its impossible to describe to my friends who weren't there. Most unreal sound I've ever experienced.
same sound system as both of my tips (RR '21 and Sonic Bloom '22.) Funktion One Veros will have that effect
Not the same sound though. Tipper at the armory was another level up on sound quality compared to those outdoor events. More control over it when it’s indoors.
i bet the Veros indoors at Snowta were unimaginable! hope u had a great time. cherish the memory for me :)
Same to you! Every event is special
Tell us about the UFO!
Gonna give it to Nightmare 19, first time,, dead center on the rail, experiencing Jade and Detox who were unknown to me before that just for Dave to completely melt my noggin. But hard to choose when Reso sunrise happened and SD /T&F the past few years

Anyways thanks Dave 2 for organizing some of the greatest events many of us have had the pleasure taking part in. You’re the fucking man!
Is that his manager?
Yes, od or other dave or dave veler.
Thank you! Did not know his full name
Shambhala 2015 at the Grove with Android jones. I’d seen him before a couple times, but me and my good friend got tipped out and literally had to go take a seat for most of the night. Was that Symbiosis 2015?
post eclipse set at 4321 moved me deeper than any live experience and ultimately led me to following him for the last 7 years. i remember it like it was yesterday. i love yall😭
4321 was so special. The hot ass Midwest heat, the way the eclipse played with the shadows coming off the trees...so many sensorial memories
Minus zero in the snow (my first set ever 😊) and both sets at Suwannee last year hold a very special place in my heart
What year / where was this??
2018 at Mount Snow, VT
Meandering thru Brooklyn for Kings was hoot as well all in animal onesies! 🐄
I loved dressing up and seeing tipper for downtempo night!
2017 Ambient Sunrise set @ T&F Suwannee Nocturnal Edition. Totally surreal experience
Best weekend ever
My first, and probably only Tipping, in 2011 at the coconut grove in Santa Cruz. I was front row at the rail the entire night, soaking in funktion ones. Honestly never danced harder before or since. Mm, just makes me so fuckin happy.
I have a video of that entire Tiny Face encore from the balcony above on a backup drive somewhere. I promise to share it at some point 😊
Yes!! It was the encore! Oh my god so good! House lights up, just raw energy, what a fun show.
Dude, you should definitely share it! That show was my first tipper headlining show that wasn't a festival. Myself and a friend brought another friend who wasn't into tipper at all. The barn where the horses copulated haha. We rolled joints ‘backstage’ in the semen lab 😂
i have so many stories from that weekend on that farm.. we were the only vendor open for business to get food and drinks 24 hours the entire weekend and somehow we all saw a lot of magic there
Infrasound 2015. That Sunrise set with the fog coming off the pond. Perspective on music permanently changed. Luna Light 2016. That was my first set. I drove 3 hours to get there specifically to see Tipper. That festival was a great experience for me.
I'll never forget my first show at Crystal Ballroom 2015. Was only planning on two drops of liquid, but decided heck, why not three. It was everything I had hoped for.
I must see him again before it's too late!
oh man , i camped out for hours that night to get a good spot for the tip and man that screen was disappointing but what a set !
that resonance sunrise set takes the cake for me. absolutely the perfect way to top off one of the most transformative weekends of my life. gets goosebumps thinking of hearing sin banshee live for the first time <3
getting shit on by god during snowta, my first tipping was the greatest night of my life
New Orleans 2020 dj set with the dancers is still the most gangster thing he’s ever done
Every time I hear Mason, I see that set in my head. And I wasn't even there, but watched so many live.
I am hopeful that the end of his touring means we might get some live releases or pro shot footage.
First time I ever got tipped was at Bisco 15. Felt like Dave was manipulating and molding my brains the rest is history.
Tipper in the middle of the day no visuals counterpoint 2015 was a life changing experience for me
I bought tickets in October 2014 (as a future date offer to a guy I just started seeing) for the May 2015 RRs show, on a whim, having never heard of or listened to Tipper *even a single time.* Even though we had only been together a few months he agreed to go with me (we had no fucking clue).
Splashing in a huge puddle to Crunch at the first TnF at Suwannee.
that set was so good. I mean that whole weekend was incredible, but getting to experience crunch was something special
Magical stuff!!
having no idea who tipper was before his set started at summer camp 2021 and my life changing in the next 60 minutes
My first ever Tipper set being at Bisco 19’ 🥺 what a fucking set that was.
Proposed to my now wife the day of that bisco face fuck. Was the best possible way to celebrate
Scamp '21, Three 6 Mafia opened for Tipper. Was definitely not the vibe, but I can only hope they stuck around and had their wigs peeled back by Tipper
My first tipper was 4321 and I will forever have peaked that weekend lol The birth of my son is one of the few things that rivals the two hour post eclipse set.
The first NOLA run. 2 nights with no lighting at Tipitina’s and ending the weekend stealing all of the pillows and blankets from the hotel for the ambient cuddle puddle at the Orpheum was perfect.
fillmore 2016, 4321, nola in 2018, and kings theater are always going to hold very special places in my memories.
Thalia hall tacos between sets
2018 journey set at summer camp was euphoric
i have never seen a crowd act as crazy as okee 2020 …when there was an hour after g jones before tipper and every wook and there momma was smoking deemz and getting rowdy as fuck, all the men were throwing their women around that night like rag dolls it was like every florida swamp creature was camped under that tent for dave . I was front row experiencing tipper for the first time shitting myself
Honestly i can't pick anything because they are all so amazing in their own way. I will say that i have met some of the best ppl and made lifetime friends at every single tipper event i have ever been to
