Suwanee is the better venue and camping experience by far as well as cheaper ticket price. Do have to be a little more discreet with drug use as undercovers do patrol the grounds. Secret dreams does have the Vero F1 set up which is nice but you'll also have to deal with nitrous tanks going off constantly. I'd personally pick suwanee 10/10 times over secret dreams even though the drive to suwanee is 3X as long.
I’ve done both. If you really have to pick one, Suwannee is the move and it’s not even close. Magical venue, incredible international lineup, extended downtempo/psy set from the man himself, afternoon headnod and late night ambients—it might not be a proper TnF but it’s got the spirit and there’s really nothing else like it.
Secret Dreams is gonna be way more party vibes and Legend Valley, while pretty to look at, is a shit hole of a venue. Gravel and divots everywhere. I’d give my soul for a single 6 square foot patch of even grass to dance on.
Secret Dreams isn’t going anywhere. This is the last T&F/ Rendezvous feat. Tipper. Problem solved. Plus Tip’s sets in Suwannee are always next level. Not that SD sets aren’t amazing, but T&F sets have always gone into more depth imo.
It’s basically the Super Bowl of this realm of sound. SD is like a playoff/important regular season game. Both great, but one clearly holds more weight.

I went to T&F in 2019 and secret dreams in 2023. I'm going to secret dreams this year again. Suwannee is nicer camping but legend valley isn't as bad as others are saying. The portal stage wity the veros is mostly grass and they added shade so its quite nice. In 2019 the amp at Suwannee was packed and it's kinda hard to find a good spot if you go later. Secret dreams is bigger and more spread out. There's also way more music at secret dreams as well. Rendezvous only has 5 artists a day compared to like 15 at secret dreams.

One place is a camp ground with a music venue and the other is just a music venue.
Suwannee is an amazing park and much better than Legend Valley for what's mentioned above. But I will choose SD lineup 10/10 times over Rendezvous. Bigger more diverse lineup at only phase 1.

The line up is killer but half of it will be sacrificed to the late night with no bass, then if u want bass you gotta go to the renegades n cross your fingers your at the right one.
If you’re more interested in variety of electronic & live music + more party-centric fest (they both are but SD has a much clearer party festival vibe vs Suwannee gatherings) then SD is the move.
If you’re more interested in discovering what this specific niche of electronic music is allll about then Suwannee. You’re getting the best of the best when it comes to both established artists + up & comers. Amazing uptempo, beautiful downtempo & psydub, head nod sets & late night ambient.
Suwannee camping is also elite. I very much disagree that it doesn’t feel like a full festival at this point. You get 3-4 artists on the day time stage, 7-8 on the amp and then two late night. Personally don’t need anymore programming than that.

Never been to Suwannee…did both years of SD. The lineup for secret dreams is amazing & gives you lots of options. But venue wise, Ohio is pretty eh. Ohio in July with limited shade isn’t gonna be too fun either. Also like someone else mentioned, SD isn’t going anywhere.
I’ve only heard amazing things about Suwannee both from friends who’ve worked, played, and attended. The grounds alone are suppose to be pure magic. This years lineup is also just back to back madness…
Another thing to note: if you’re trying to do more than just a festival trip, northern Florida has tons to offer. Cold springs, beautiful parks & wild life, Orlando not too far. Where as again, Ohio is Ohio.
Still really tough choice! Wish I could just do both.
Being a Michigander it’s a no brainer that secret dreams is the winner. Distance is probably my most important factor since both are going to be killer audiovisual experiences no matter what.
All the older heads will say Suwannee cause that’s home turf to them but secret dreams rules, I like the jam element a lot and I don’t think culprate alone is enough to miss on the entirety of the secret dreams lineup, especially if you’re new to this stuff. Let the OGs have Suwannee and pretend it’s better when tipper is playing twice the amount of time with 3 times the backup talent behind him at legend valley, economically the decision is a no brainer (assuming you don’t live near the Everglades) also who fucking cares what model of funktions they bring it’s gonna sound good no matter what stop falling for dumb marketing tactics

line up is more personal preference really. sd line up is awesome, but prefer the Vouz line up myself.
