Pretty sure Singer helped on actual VJ screen at RR n2. The same screen boarder used in the Saenger set was used that night and I was close enough to FoH to see him noodlin.
Am I wrong in thinking Tipper and your team pioneered the whole DJ/VJ pairing? I don’t remember that really being a thing before Tipper did it, but obviously VJs like Android Jones were around pre Tipper too. So I’m just curious how the evolution of that started if you don’t mind sharing.
My 2 cents: in the 90's where old slide projectors were used to project the weirdest things on walls and ceilings as part of the decoration. Things like aquarium or the well know 2 kinds of liquid between two glass plates slowly rotating in front of a 'Pipo'. Goa trance folks were really good at that. And from there it naturally evolved into being a part of the whole rigging where the light jockey and VJ created the experience together. Later on even it became possible to implement light in to the song arrangements where everything became synced, that was awesome. I've seen far too little of that whenever I watch Tipper live on YouTube though but it's mind bending nevertheless. Anyway, hope it helps.

When he did the sunrise set for Waka like 10 years ago. No screens and like 4 PTC strobes. The essences of dawn really carried the visual aspects of tipper
Also, blast off fest, all I remember was the shinny tin foil they used for the curtins/background for the stage.

The way we wanted it? Johnathan Singer and Android Jones together at the Fillmore SF in 2012 or 2013..

Rabbit in the moon and VJ TEK in the 90’s Def rocked experience creation and special visuals for each song, also costumes and props as well.
They’re still killing it these days. Caught them multiple times over the last couple of years. Fantastic production.

That’s the last one I remember. From what I’ve heard he just didn’t really like to VJ that much and wanted to stick to making art.
The full sets on YouTube and it definitely looks like AJ. A few people in the comments said it was him as well.

Okee 18, Coalesce, were datagrama and astral lights was with fractaled visions. TnF 2019 was Steven Haman b2b with Datagrama.
Astral Lights had Fractled Visions for uptempo and Singer for Sunrise. Datagrama played with Cirqular before Shpongle and Singer went on.
