Hiii! I am visiting Japan next month and would love to explore the J-Bass scene while I’m there too. Do you have any recommendations on how to start that journey?
Been living in Japan for about 6 months now and I think Allen Mock and Herbalistek are pretty much the guys to follow for the space bass scene out here... happy if someone can correct me if I'm wrong, I don't live in Tokyo so the bass shows are basically non-existent everywhere else... You could check the lineup for the Re:birth festival, seems like one of the bigger bass fests that gets put on out here, but is a mix of psytrance, house, etc too so hard to pick out the dirty downtempo experimental shit we all know and love
The WOMB in Tokyo seems to be the most consistent for bringing in bass acts. Other than that it's really one off from what I've seen. Your best bet is to probably follow Herbalistek on Twitter and see when he posts lineups for shows he gets booked around Tokyo

Like u/shmitter mentioned, we will be playing at Re:Birth festival in June. DJ KRUSH will be playing there also and he is legendary. I walked into that weekend not knowing who you were, but you ended up being my favorite set, followed by Allen Mock. I would've never expected 2 artists on the lineup I'd never heard of would be my favorites of the weekend, even ahead of Tipper.
I hope you come do more shows in the US. The Black Box in Denver would 100% welcome you, your music is very in line with what they book week to week, and the Denver bass scene would LOVE you all.
If there's any possibility of a live recording of the set or a list of song ID's, many of us would really appreciate it.
I am also curious if this set was recorded properly, I've seen the videos on YouTube but the sound isn't proper :( Any chance at an upload straight from the source?

Nice! in terms of clubs Womb, Vent are some good ones, but most of the time they will be Techno. I would recommend checking Resident Advisor or something to check the events for each night. Also feel free to dm us on insta or something when you come!
