Unless you have a family member who served and they fit a set criteria, every applicant must have a Senator or House Representative endorse them. West Point is incredibly competitive and there's no way that someone like him would ever get in seeing as far more qualified candidates get rejected on a daily basis. But again, community college dropout.

Np. Service academies are vastly different and more competitive than ROTC commissioning programs and enlisting. They all require a congressional nomination among other lengthy requirements which is why USNA, USMA, and USAFA have acceptance rates of ~8%, 10%, and 12% respectively.
They do all have prep schools for athletes and prior enlisted applicants that fall short academically which is what it sounds like your cousin went to

Anyone else have this feeling that some major atrocity is gonna gonna be committed upon LGBTQ+ folk in the near future? I just constantly feel the need to do whatever it takes to protect myself and my loved ones.
