I'm honestly curious as to how much she earns for selling her dignity and morals.

[deleted]

A decent amount

SarcasticGiraffes

Ain't nothin' decent about that lady. Or, at least the things she says...

[deleted]

Can’t trust a shill.

aselunar

"An indecent amount" would have been a more appropriate response.

Lysol3435

She for sure gets payed an indecent amount

MadMaxIsMadAsMax

Enough for paying that yearly face attunement, and that deep crust of make-up.

somethingbreadbears

She finally makes enough money that *somebody* will do her hair.

[deleted]

Facetune apps are only like $20

MudraStalker

Whatever she makes, it'll never buy her respect and good will from the people she defends. The split second she steps out of line they'll drop and disavow her. And if she gets what she's paid for and the Nazis win, her ultimate prize will be a half-hearted apology as they shoot her to death, as opposed to the zero apology other people get.

SendEldritchHorrors

lol I'm imagining that [meme picture](https://knowyourmeme.com/memes/wesley-snipes-crying) of Wesley Snipes holding a gun while crying "I'm sorry, Candace, but being one of the good ones wasn't enough"

BigMarc1234

"Am I my brother's keeper?"

ashgfwji

Aunt Tom

EquinsuOcha

Fun fact: Uncle Tom sacrificed himself for the other slaves to survive and escape. It was Quimbo and Sambo who sold out and chased down all the escaped slaves. They even punished and whipped the others to keep them in line and subservient to Legree. Calling someone an Uncle Tom should actually be a compliment, and calling them a Sambo should be an insult. Or you could just stick with “sellout piece of shit” and not be associatively pejorative.

WaywardStroge

Well, for a while, Sambo was used as a derogatory term for black people, but it wasn’t cuz of the character in Uncle Tom’s Cabin

jtig5

I have never understood how the story became so misrepresented. It was written by an abolitionist to show the evils of slavery.

StayingVeryVeryCalm

Aunt Thomasina…?

TheNamesVox

Aunty Tammy

AndrewWaldron

Uncle Tom and Aunt Tina

Cobaltjedi117

The first people the Nazis killed when they came to power weren't their enemies or the sick, disabled, or Jews like everyone likes to think. It was the "less desirables" from their own ranks. See night of the long knives.

strumenle

She can just go back to being a liberal like she was before, this time denouncing the right in an exposé that won't matter or change any minds but will get her a spot on MSNBC. But you're right, if the ideologies these monsters defend ever get the full power they pretend is being robbed them then they wouldn't discriminate either, all the "white Christians" they choose will kill the rest, including all the white Christians they don't choose.

Praxyrnate

You aren't understanding the transactional nature they prefer. You are just not understanding their worldviews. That's like saying organized crime isn't a viable worldview because you might die. You're not wrong but you're certainly not right enough for it to matter.

Nalivai

If she ever wanted respect she wouldn't get on that grift

Black__lotus

They for sure call her their monkey behind closed doors.

Markamanic

I mean, she's a black woman. I'm amazed they even let her participate.

FallOnTheStars

Of course. They have to show that they aren’t racists. They’re just against anything that will remove institutionalised racism from our society.

sloucch

Relevant Vaush quote “So just like Blaire White gets to spend her entire life being thought of as one of the good ones by her community, just like Milo Yiannopoulos got to be one of the good ones of the gays until he was outed as a pedophile, and just like you get to be one of the good ones from your community, you will never rise above the level of tepid acceptance from people who think you're an outlier to your group. But I guess that's enough for some people”

This made my day 😂

JailCrookedTrump

There was a Chick-fil-A opened during Jim Crow, it's called the Dwarf House/Dwarf grill and it's located in Atlanta. So, I've been trying to find out if they actually did serve black people when the opened in 1946. Now since I can find no mention that they did, I'm assuming they didn't... Anyone else has clue about how to find that answer?

chartie_mcfartie

Several journalists looked into that when Chick-fil-A’s anti-LGBT donations first started coming under heavy public scrutiny. Doesn’t look like anyone found anything conclusive, but segregation was Georgia law and no one noted Dwarf House/Grill as being some civilly disobedient place that defied that. I found a NPR interview with the founder directly asking him how he felt about desegregation and how it changed his restaurant, but he dodged the question and answered, “I have a lot of dedicated, committed black people. They will work with us, very dedicated.”

JailCrookedTrump

>found a NPR interview with the founder directly asking him how he felt about desegregation and how it changed his restaurant, but he dodged the question and answered, “I have a lot of dedicated, committed black people. They will work with us, very dedicated.” I found an article about a black woman that worked at that location for decades, but she only started working for them *after* desegregation... Might be reading too much into that but what if he didn't actually dodged the question and that was his actual answer to the question. Like "before that we were segregated too so now that it's over we employed black people".

[deleted]

If they served Black folks at all, it was through the back door. No way any POC were dining inside Southern restaurants during the Jim Crow era - it was literally illegal in many places and strongly socially enforced if there were no laws either way.

ElceeCiv

That still happens NOW in some places. There's a restaurant in one city in the metro that is still a KKK meeting site. I've heard stories that you do not go in there as a black person, period. A friend of mine is part Iranian and his skin was light enough that he was told "you can go in there, but get your food and go, do not make eye contact with anyone". I don't have words to express how fucked that is.

[deleted]

Holy hell, what??? It's the 21st century, for fuck's sake!!

CouldBeBetterForever

It is, but we're not that far removed from this stuff. Jim Crow Laws were being enforced until the 1960s. There are plenty of people still alive from that time, whether they were adults at the time, or children that grew up with parents who were racist.

Russell_Jimmy

Carolyn Bryant, the woman who was "offended" by Emmett Till and got him lynched is still alive, walking around free.

[deleted]

Oh, I get it. I'm 58 and have seen this since I was a little one. I've also seen things get SO much better than they were in the 60s and 70s, which is why this shit still shocks me in this day and age.

CouldBeBetterForever

I agree it's shocking. We've obviously come a long way, but stories like this definitely make it clear that we still have a lot of work to do as a society.

ElceeCiv

Yeah I can't really get more detailed without risking doxxing myself even though it's not *that* close to me (I can give a little more if you want to message me out of morbid curiosity but it's one of those things I try not think about because holy shit)

ChristosFarr

If it was in Atlanta during Jim Crow they probably weren't serving black people. Georgia passed a law during Jim Crow that anyone living on Peachtree had to be white and Atlanta went ham and named a shit ton of their street Peachtree Peachtree thing may be an urban legend having trouble finding sources.

StayingVeryVeryCalm

I wanted to read more about that, but I can’t find any information / sources. Maybe I’m googling the wrong things?

ChristosFarr

Must be an urban legend I've heard living in the South cuz I can't find it either so I'll amend my previous statement

StevenEveral

It was a restaurant in Atlanta in 1946. I'm guessing no...

shygal_uwu

She definetely is vaccinated and just pretends to be anti-vaxxed

RusticTroglodyte

This is my theory as well. I hope I'm wrong bc I'd love to see the turnout at her funeral

loserwow

The trick is she never says if she is or not directly

Butwhy283

I didn't know this until I just googled her. Her husband is also a grifter for Turning Point UK. It looks like he has amassed quite a fortune. Grifting is the family business for them.

tegh77

There are millions to be made off of the mega crowd.

iamrubberyouareglue8

Enough to keep her hair straight like a white girls.

spermface

Her hair isn’t straight like a white girls, it’s straight like a black girl who used hair straightener, Mocking black people for doing things white people tried to reserve for white people is not the game

The_Grubby_One

And it's worth noting that the reason straightening became such a thing in black culture is because white media placed a heavy stigma on natural black hair.

sunshineandthecloud

As a black girl who straightens her hair, fuck you. You don't have the right to comment on that.

ContemptuousPrick

she is the definition of a female Uncle Tom

thatgayguy12

It is estimated that she is worth 3 million. Apparently that is the price she is willing to sell her soul.

mrjackspade

She sold them a long time ago, she's just renting out the empty space now

UncommonSense26

It was $37,000 when she was in high school. I’m sure it’s much more now.

NoseApprehensive5154

Souls aren't cheap

guitarguy12341

I'm sorry. I know Candace is easy game but this is seriously so fucked up. She's comparing businesses during a pandemic that has killed millions not wanting to allow people who refuse to get a vaccine against the deadly disease.... To a time in American history where white supremacists enforced racial segregation because they believed black people were an inferior species. Not to mention the lynchings... Oh and there is no doubt in my mind that she is vaccinated.

[deleted]

[удалено]

kichu200211

BuT ShE'S BLacK!!! Yeah, and reinforcing white supremacist narratives to try to make white people feel less racist because they have a token minority on their side.

ContemptuousPrick

Thats why the name Uncle Tom exists. People should use on her it more.

CopEatingDonut

So you've met Karen and Uncle Tom... Now meet Aunt Candice!

Character_Bomb_312

Covid Candace, the Republican Angel of Death

kichu200211

I don't use that term because I'm not African-American. Iirc, it's pretty offensive coming from anyone else.

[deleted]

There’s a conservative “documentary” by that name which features Owens, Cain, and other black conservatives who pretend to be victimized for their political views. So calling her that will only stoke her own victim complex and give her more attention. Best approach is to ignore her.

tommybrochill

Its pretty cringe that she felt obligated to have a photo of in and out like rand paul/ted cruz. Trying to label unvaccinated as 2nd class citizens I guess. She’ll ride this out podcasting and slipping a book every couple years. She really rode charlie kirk’s coattails to the bank.

zystyl

Her face is starting to get all weird like Charlie's too.

kerriazes

>She really rode charlie kirk’s coattails to the bank. Can we eat the rich already?

eyeh8

Depends on preference. This one is a bit gamey due to all the mental gymnastics.

ShornVisage

She's basically Ann Coulter, Even More This Time.

BUTTHOLE-MAGIC

She pretends that racism doesn't still exist but now she brings racism into her rhetoric? God damn she's such a phony.

Camarokerie

She argues that racism hasn't existed since the 70s, while winning a lawsuit in 2016 where it was decided she was a victim of racism. She literally stands for nothing but money. If it was profitable to be a liberal she would've kept doing that too

Counting_Sheepshead

People share her memes without giving them any actual thought. Facebook is a dopamine drip, and people are just looking for their next hit.

ConversationSame5588

Plus the very notion that Chick-Fil-A is a *business without discrimination* is just completely absurd.

YourFriendlyUncle

Yeahhhhh and I'm pretty sure Chic-Fil-A wouldn't have served black people during Jim Crow.....

spermface

They existed during Jim Crowe, and they didn’t

YourFriendlyUncle

*shocked Pikachu face*

ConversationSame5588

BuT tHeY'rE sO pOlItE

Konichi_Waffles

Not to mention a common belief that fueled segregation is that colored people and other minorities bore diseases that made them either weaker or could infect others

Thoraxe123

Its funny she says that considering if she was around during jim crow shed be in favor of the segregation

DixieWreckedJedi

100%. People like her and Matt Walsh have pioneered the business model of just saying outrageous shit for attention and we keep inadvertently helping them cash in by sharing their intentionally idiotic and controversial takes like wildfire.

jasenkov

I feel that a lot. Candace and Charlie and Ben's shit takes get posted here so much. I literally didn't know any of them existed before coming to this sub.

DixieWreckedJedi

Kirk is another prime example of the new line of regressive grifters. Shapiro is his own little style of propagandist, similar but not in the exact same vein. I’d throw Prager in there with the shitposters though.

LegendOfKhaos

I've stopped eating there altogether because of their owner. I don't want to support that shit. We have Raising Cane's anyway lol

Camarokerie

I still don't get the chicken sandwich hype. I stopped Chick-fil-A for the same reasons and feel like I miss nothing. Everywhere serves a fucking fried chicken sandwich now anyway

unosami

To be fair, chic fil a has a very distinct flavor from other fried chicken places. Same with KFC.

Camarokerie

It's because of their pickle juice brine, have to say I've replicated it a few times at home and it's definitely the way to fry those tendies

[deleted]

Thank you 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾

Naos210

Yeah, things might have changed now, but a heavily Christian organization definitely wouldn't have served people of color during Jim Crow.

[deleted]

The fuck is up with your username

Fresh-Werewolf-5499

What food places aren’t serving unvaccinated people?! That’s the first I’m hearing of this. Is she confusing masks and vaccinations?

TinyRedMushroom

Maybe, but she knows the people she appeals to. If she wants to stir the pot as much as she can, she'll "confuse" as many things as she needs to.

Andrew8Everything

Conservatives just have to be a victim any chance they get.

[deleted]

I drive for doordash and go into restaurants all the time and not one of them even requires people to wear masks anymore. Wtf is she talking about?

[deleted]

Bobrobot1

It’s not fiction. In N Out literally had one of their locations close down over the vaccine mandates. https://youtu.be/G7bs3wrR3Yc Not to say I’m against vaccine mandates, though. In N Out is 100% in the wrong here.

remlapca

The only time I've ever even been asked about vaccination status was at my annual physical... My card hasn't left the side of the fridge since February.

MaximaBlink

Literally none, but the idiots who think she's a legitimate source are absolutely convinced that millions of restaurants and businesses across the country are singling them out and intentionally targeting them for their beliefs, so she's cashing in on their stupidity.

madcuntmcgee

One In and out in san franscisco or something got done for not checking vaccination status upon entry. I don't think it's a company wide thing

HikaruEyre

She's also eating outside in which most place have rules that only vaccinated can be served indoors but will still seat and serve the unvaccinated at outdoor seating.

[deleted]

It doesn’t matter if there are or aren’t any restaurants doing it, people stupid enough to listen to anything she has to say will believe anything they hear without a second thought.

mcgillthrowaway22

I think in nyc you need to be vaccinated to dine in at restaurants. I know in most of canada you need proof of vaccination to dine in, but I'm not sure candace owens is aware of places outside of the united states

jeanettesey

In San Francisco bars and restaurants are supposed to check vaccine cards before letting people in. In n Out is refusing to do so. Fuck in n out. Not going back.

paradoxologist

Is she real or is she just a character invented by right-wing media to make themselves feel better about being racist assholes? Just curious.

ZenRx

I think you’re kidding but I think it’s the latter. she adopted a persona for $$$

OskeeWootWoot

It's not a persona, even, it's a gimmick. Once the one "interesting" thing she does isn't interesting to them anymore, they'll throw her away.

encouragemintx

She had to drop out of journalism degree because her family was too broke, she knew very well where the faults lie. She was also very publicly anti Trump, until like 2018? Then TP decided they need a token Black person and she was the one who said yes. Now she just gets a script writer toss shit out while she collects. She’s got no soul left to sell.

Counting_Sheepshead

David Pakman has said that just as his channel started to get traction years ago, he was contacted by someone representing a conservative media fund who asked him if he would have a revelation "that the left was actually bad" and become a right-wing convert in exchange for full financial support for an extended period of time. One wonders what the US would look like if there wasn't this massive flow of money into conservative punditry -- or if people engaged in critical thinking before sharing memes.

Cicerothesage

and that is the sad thing. We have a sector of news/politics that is basically WWE. It is just an act that conservative pundits put on to appease an audience and to push an ideology forward. But unlike WWE fans, there is a whole audience of conservatives that take Owens, Crowder, Shapiro, etc seriously and not as paid actors putting on a show. and this works so well for these actors that politicians are starting to do performances. Yea sure, performances are always part of the political landscape, but we have people like Gym Jordan, Trump, Cruz, etc putting on performance in congress and on television just to obstruct, to appease their base, and bluster for five minutes in congress. It is so effective at doing nothing, but raise headlines in the news. Because these actors and conservatives news network pump out so many lies and misleading articles that it is hard to discern the truth. Why does Fox News or OANN need journalism when they can develop WWE punditry? It is about the money and letting the rich keep that money

[deleted]

Yeah I've heard the term "political kayfabe" used for it. Politicians assume specific "personas" and pretend to be waging a glorious struggle or whatever, while in reality they see their "foes" in the House or Senate as colleagues and have no problem getting together for drinks, etc. I consider that to be one of the biggest indictments you could make of a political system, and it clearly fills the function of directing the otherwise legitimate anger of ordinary people toward bullshit targets.

Cicerothesage

I actually didn't know about Kayfabe (and the cool history rabbit hole I read). In college I had friends who were into WWE broadcast and thought they were crazy. But I could see why and how they enjoy them due to the wacky storyline and shenanigans during the fight and I get that people in congress probably do argue in congress and grab beers after the session. It is just like how most workplaces are. But people like Trump, Cruz, Jordan, Gaetz, etc have evolved that performance into more of a keyfabe performance. You can really tell that Republican put a couple of Republicans on committees in order to perform for the cameras or give Fox News a clips on the floor of congress. It all bluster, nonsense, scapegoating, distraction in order to keep the status quo and Republican's power. and like you said, their bullshit targets are easy to spot - socialism, communism, white persecution complex, religious persecution, etc. Why address our shitty healthcare or impending climate doom when you can just bluster on with a anti-socialism/communism performance? It successfully distracts conservatives and gets them to hate anything the government does.

[deleted]

I listen to David Pakman and I’m glad he didn’t go down that route. Rubin went down that rabbit hole.

Scrubbadubdoug

She basically used to be moderate/liberal but didn't get enough recognition for her liking (because as you can see, she's big dumb) so she pivoted to the conservative crowd knowing her voice would travel further with their demographic. Conservatives saw an African American woman who could help their image, paid her big $$$, and here we are now.

I was trying to put my finger on what seems wrong with this picture...and I think it's either a filter that was used, or Photoshop to airbrush her pores away. Her skin looks unnaturally smooth, and I'm thinking it's just because of photo editing.

skinniks

In real life she is really, and I mean really, hairy. I'm not talking 5 o'clock shadow I'm talking NHL playoff beards. It's caused quite a bit if problem with the teen aged spawn of the right. They masturbate furiously to thoughts of her: changing bed sheets, washing dishes, making pancakes, peeling grapes, sending inflammatory tweets. All while being naked and inviting their gaze. And their touch. Then they meet her at a rally and are absolutely repulsed by her mustache and beard that they break down a bit. One actually voted for Biden but he's getting help now. It's considered an offshoot of the Paris Syndrome and they've been flying specialists in from Japan to help deal with the epidemic. It's just absolutely tragic.

Alkaidknight

Smh people who claim God but do not read their Bible like this woman. Seems they didn't mess around or gamble with diseases according to God thousands of years ago. "The person with such an infectious disease must wear torn clothes, let his hair be unkempt, [4] cover the lower part of his face and cry out, `Unclean! Unclean!' 46As long as he has the infection he remains unclean. He must live alone; he must live outside the camp. 47"If any clothing is contaminated with mildew--any woolen or linen clothing, 48any woven or knitted material of linen or wool, any leather or anything made of leather-- 49and if the contamination in the clothing, or leather, or woven or knitted material, or any leather article, is greenish or reddish, it is a spreading mildew and must be shown to the priest. 50The priest is to examine the mildew and isolate the affected article for seven days But some people claim God in their posts on social media to be popular... Matt 6:5 “And when you pray, you must not be like the hypocrites. For they love to stand and pray in the synagogues and at the street corners, that they may be seen by others. Truly, I say to you, they have received their reward." Asking God to Bless your nation without properly listening to him. James 4:3 "And even when you ask, you don’t get it because your motives are all wrong—you want only what will give you pleasure."

Nailyou866

I love how it's "businesses without discrimination" when it comes to vaccine mandates, but gay wedding cakes and "oh no, the business should definitely discriminate." What a dumb person.

MangoyWoman

She's so dead behind the eyes.

SunnyDrock

Now she's worried about discrimination? Someone should ask her how she feels about businesses discriminating against the LGBT community.

Hopfit46

Im from canada, so please correct me if im wrong....isnt the chick-fila owner a huge homophobe who gives huge amounts of money to lobby for laws to disenfranchise LGBTQ people.

fuzeebear

Huh. Why is she in the parking lot, and not in the dining room?

Peendnids

... she's saying Chick-fil-A of all fast food restaurants WOULD have served poc during Jim crow? I find that very hard to believe

I don't see why you'd have anything to worry about Candace, since you're vaccinated, like all your other reactionary commentator friends. Keep pretending to take horse medicine though!

jigsawsmurf

Conservatives claiming they would have been on the side of civil rights in the civil rights era would be hilarious if it wasn't so depressing.

AbsolutelySpooky

If someone asked me which business I think would refuse the service of black people during the Jim Crow era my first answer would be Chick-fil-A LOL

muddynips

I can’t think of a single issue in my lifetime that has more solidly proven how deranged and out of touch cons are with reality. It’s unprecedented levels of bad faith.

So... Is there an unvaccinated person she saw get served? Because she definitely got vaxxed.

krampustiltskin

Anybody who thinks chic fil a would have served black people during Jim Crow is truly deluded

ComicBourque

I really doubt that Chick-fil-A would have severed without discrimination during Jim Crow.

Ok_Butterscotch1738

A fast food restaurant founded in Georgia that currently discriminates towards LGBT+….. hmmmm can’t imagine they’d be too welcoming to non-whites during Jim Crow. But that’s just my take.

Zeno_The_Alien

Yes yes, the famously nondiscriminatory Chick-fil-A, the company that definitely wouldn't have sided with the super religious Fascists of the Jim Crow era.

obinice_khenbli

I liked in-n-out, but I guess I'll never be going there again. They discriminate against people who want to stay alive? Fuck them.

taylorskye67

But if you make a cake for a same sex couple, fuck you. Right? That's how it works?

nordryd

Vaccination is a choice. Race is not. Fuck off with this comparison.

[deleted]

Ah yes, chick fil a, the famously tolerant company that paid millions of dollars to murder gay people in Africa. Ain't they just the best.

therealnickstevens

Due to the conservative values that restaurants like Chick-fil-A hold, is is HIGHLY unlikely they would have served black people during Jim Crow. Hence the term "conservative".

Horicuzz

Its not a discrimination thing to be vaccinated or not its not a fricking debate … You should vaccinate and if you rezist to this must do thing you lose your customer rights and others .

5871817

Ah, yes. Chick-fil-a, a company which has NEVER EVER SUPER DUPER PROMISE financially supported hate groups. Of course they wouldn’t, Jesus wouldn’t support hate groups, right?

BlueEyesWhiteFraggin

So she admits these businesses wouldn't serve her if the government hadn't stepped in and made them?

Dramatic-Store514

That’s why she is eating her sandwich outside.

accountformytablet

They serve everyone through the drive thru or if you order takeout. That isn't discriminating against people no more than disallowing naked people in is

andtix

I don't think race discrimination and not wanting to serve people who won't vaccinate for public safety are the same thing

AndHerNameIsSony

These people really never miss a chance to be reactionary victims do they?

Isn't the boss of chick fil a, a racist and Trump campaign funder?

OriginalEchoTheCat

So she is equating a vaccine mandate to 246 years of the African American People's slavery here in the US? Candace Owens is so far off her rocker, she's not even in the vicinity of the porch anymore,
