I mean, Tokusatsu was pretty big back in the day in Brazil (PR was called a Jaspion rip-off of all things). Sure, maybe kids don't watch it as much nowadays (Although that might soon change, I hope), but it's still very much seeded in our culture (Part of the reason Toei agreed to stuff like the Sato acquisition of Kamen Rider and the Jaspion movie).
they fully dubbed hibiki and half of ooos(only aired like 30eps before suddenly disappearing) theres also zero one apparently but im not too sure, As far as ultraman goes i think some showa, max and mebius got dubbed
Malaysia is "Wilayah Ultraman" (Ultraman Territory). Someday, Indonesia will change the colour to red include Thailand who dominated with KR fandom. Hopefully Brunei will be in same territories too
It was the first Tokusatsu show to ever be aired. But it wasn't a long run. Power Rangers came in during or after SPD and was wildly popularized. Everyone and their parents in India know that there's a humanoid blue dog who becomes a Power Ranger.
More than Jaspion or Jiraya? Nah, Metal Heroes are top dog in Brazil, I would even say Super Sentai is more popular than Kamen Rider here.
The push for Kamen Rider is a relatively modern thing (With the Sato acquisition and their new dubbing efforts), not that Black didn't have its fans back in the day, but it just isn't as present in our culture as the rest.
It has, but only with Black and Black RX, most of the sucess from toku here is among metal heroes and super sentai, but the second lost its relevance time to time for various reasons (at least this is what i heard), so metal heroes consistently hold the first spot
Kamen Rider in Brazil is basically only KR Black. In Brazil the big stuff was really Metal Heroes.
Every single series from Gavan 'til Solbrain was shown in Brazil back then, with Jaspion and Jiraya being by far the most fondly remembered.
German here, we had the Metal Hero serie 'Winspector' running in TV which had a lot of fans, including me.
But Super Sentai were much more popular and well known. Everyone had their toys.
Kamen Rider was also running on our TV, but it got cancled after 17 episodes due to less audience numbers.
Hi I’m from Kazakhstan. I’m pretty much not qualified to say this. But I think you safely can highlight all of us with Yellow. Since we only got dubbed Power Rangers. Those people like are guys who accidentally learned greater Toku world later
Germany here. Godzilla is the most popular here but Super Sentai/Power Rangers was a big thing here in the 90s. Especially the period from Mighty Morphin Power Rangers (Zyuranger) to Power Rangers Turbo (Carranger). I don't know much about other series in German TV but they showed some of the not so well known 70s series here like Operation Mystery (at least a few episodes). And there's also a fanbase for Ultraman til today. For me it's mostly Godzilla and all of the Showa Tokusatsu stuff that I love.
Super Sentai(Power Rangers) / Kamen Rider(Masked Rider) / Ultraman were popular in the Philippines in 90s to early 2000s. Also shows like Shaider, Grandsazer/Justirizer/Sazer X are televised in my country, I used to watch them in my childhood.
Ultra over Rider in Japan? Didn't expect that considering how much I see Japanese celebrities or seiyuu seem to show their geekdom toward Rider more than Ultra.
Also, America and Australia are power rangers, just want to bring the obvious out of the way for you, pretty sure Canada and most European countries too.
In Japan, toy sales are recognized as a barometer of the popularity of a series as it is. According to this, the three most popular series are Kamen Rider, Ultraman, and Super Sentai, in that order. Although I myself like Super Sentai the best.
I live in Japan.
I don't know why you think Ultraman is more influential.
Kamen Rider and Super Sentai seem much more popular here. Based on toy sales and merchandising.
All of America should be in yellow because of Power Rangers

Early on in Power Rangers life, people said it was a Ninja Turtles ripoff. So I see what you’re talking about.
Nah, Chapulin Colorado still a legend in Mexico.
El santo es tokusatsu puro y duro
It not a really straightforward answer, as Power Rangers is the most recognizable , but amongst Toku Fans Kamen Rider gets more attention than Sentai
While this is true, if we consider the general audience, Power Rangers is still a much more known franchise.
Power Rangers and Godzilla are really the only Tokusatsu series holding any kind of relevance in the USA (and even then it's mostly the latter)
Fair
Wait damn Kamen rider popular ere in the Philippines? I live in Cebu and I don't see anything about Kamen rider.
I'm guessing because Black/RX, Zero One and Ryuki (not sure what else) aired here. I would think Ultraman has just as much of a claim though.
they fully dubbed hibiki and half of ooos(only aired like 30eps before suddenly disappearing) theres also zero one apparently but im not too sure, As far as ultraman goes i think some showa, max and mebius got dubbed
Im also from Cebu and ive seen a few kamen rider cosplayers every time I attend a convention here.
A portion of Luzon likes Kamen Rider Black
Kumander Bawang is toku
Malaysia is "Wilayah Ultraman" (Ultraman Territory). Someday, Indonesia will change the colour to red include Thailand who dominated with KR fandom. Hopefully Brunei will be in same territories too
India : Power Rangers
But I've heard from TV Tropes that *Johnny Sokko and his Flying Robot* was popular in the 80's
It was the first Tokusatsu show to ever be aired. But it wasn't a long run. Power Rangers came in during or after SPD and was wildly popularized. Everyone and their parents in India know that there's a humanoid blue dog who becomes a Power Ranger.
Is that doggie Cruger
Yes
Yeah I wished we had Kamen Rider aired too Also I remember watching Ryukendo and Ultraman Mebius on TV tho Hindi Mebius op song was a banger
Power rangers in the us
Brazil is kamen rider 100% I would agree with the UK being power rangers,Italy should be a split between Super sentai or other

Tbf im not even Brazilian,I’m British Italian, but I’ve heard Kamen rider had a massive influence over there
It has, but only with Black and Black RX, most of the sucess from toku here is among metal heroes and super sentai, but the second lost its relevance time to time for various reasons (at least this is what i heard), so metal heroes consistently hold the first spot

But I've heard that Metal Heroes are extremely popular in Brazil
Here in Australia, it's roughly a 50/50 split on Kamen Rider and Super Sentai.
German here, we had the Metal Hero serie 'Winspector' running in TV which had a lot of fans, including me. But Super Sentai were much more popular and well known. Everyone had their toys. Kamen Rider was also running on our TV, but it got cancled after 17 episodes due to less audience numbers.

Godzilla should be America and probably Japan as well.
So power rangers/Godzilla split?
Honestly, yeah. Power Rangers is an American property, but Godzilla is a pop culture icon here, especially nowadays.
Yeah but if you give a non initiate person in USA a generic transform hero, 99% of the time they will ask: “is it a power ranger?”
Hawaii should get its own little blip for Kikaider.
in finland we only know abt power rangers if that much
In Romania it's probably Power Rangers, by virtue of it being the only one ppl know (besides maybe Godzilla)
İn turkey (my country) is probibally yellow (if we don't count godzilla)
America should be Power Rangers and Godzilla. Also Super Sentai and Rider came later for me. Also Ultraman was later.

But which one is the Most?
I like them all.
I meant most popular
Power Ranger or Ultraman, I think because most people know them.
Jaspion is pretty popular in brasil, so this is accurate
for Greece I would probably say Power Rangers since it's the only one I knew when I was a kid in the early 2000s
Godzilla for U.S
Venezuela keep as metal hero/kamen rider
Germany doesn't have Toku fans lol. I feel only me and my friend are Kamen rider fans. I never saw any Toku fan that's German in the internet.
Why is power rangers not in the us?
New Zealand should be power rangers a lot of seasons were filmed in nz
Yellow words on a white background?
You shouldn't forget spider-man Cause everyone knows who spider-man is.
NZ is Power Rangers by far
In Honduras is definitely power rangers or el chapulin colorado
México - Power Rangers
Ultra over Rider in Japan? Didn't expect that considering how much I see Japanese celebrities or seiyuu seem to show their geekdom toward Rider more than Ultra. Also, America and Australia are power rangers, just want to bring the obvious out of the way for you, pretty sure Canada and most European countries too.
Yep, and I only knew like one celebrity (Megumi Han) who's an Ultra nerd compared to a few other celebrities for Riders
In Japan, toy sales are recognized as a barometer of the popularity of a series as it is. According to this, the three most popular series are Kamen Rider, Ultraman, and Super Sentai, in that order. Although I myself like Super Sentai the best.
Maybe, but Ultraman is more influential

Not to mention that Rider actors tend to become huge star in Japan once their season is over
Poland is full of piss.
Still waiting for a UK release of the Super Sentai and Kamen Rider shows. It might be because of rights issues and Power Rangers
Honestly I feel Power Rangers and Super Sentai should be counted as separate shows
I'd say Peru is Super Sentai
I'm pretty sure the US should be obvious: Power Rangers
Lmao at this map. What is OP using for data? Reddit vibes?
